I consider myself to be a competent virtual Boeing and Airbus pilot, even a half competent virtual Q400 pilot on a good day, but boy does this aircraft make me feel dumb!
In a good way that is...this is so different I think I’m going to have a blast figuring it out.  During my first attempt to start from cold and dark tonight i spent a long time just trying to figure out where half the switches were.  You don’t realize how common even very different Boeings are until you try to apply that knowledge/approach to an MD82.  I never did successfully do my first start-up...i had one hot start and the nav displays stayed off for some reason.
    Off to study some manuals!

Good luck with pfpx.  It' been a couple months since the author posted last. I've switched to simbrief. Most of the same features and it is free. If they don' have an export for it yet, give them a few days.  Very responsive developer.

My two cents fwiw:  I was very unhappy to read this news this morning.  This whole thing shows poor judgement by FSL.  I have a valid serial, so if you take them at their word, this malware was not activated.  I really think they owe the community an apology for taking such liberties with their customers.
However, I am not going to cut my nose off to spite my face.  The fact remains that this is one of the best addons for p3d.  I deleted my old installer, downloaded the new one, reinstalled and will continue to fly this aircraft through the virtual skies.
Hopefully lessons will be learned here, not just by FSLabs but by any payware vendor that would consider such a poor idea.  I’m sure FSLabs will pay for this in future sales, to what degree is the question.

    Folks,
Being a developer not only for the flight sim community but also for other comercial markets I cannot describe how much I hate piracy, software piracy is one of the most disrespectful things that you could do to any Flight Sim Developer, we put a lot of hard work and sacrifices (our families suffer the most from this as their time with us becomes very limited) to deliver our products, so the idea that someone can just pirate one my add-on's and distribute this to others after all the sleepless nights and missing time with my family makes me feel the very least angry and sick.
Having said that, I am not only the main program developer for .NET and many other languages for an international firm, but I am also the Corporate Security Advisor, Network Security Consultant and Network Administrator for 14 offices around the world, after been doing the last role for over 10 years I can tell you with all confidence that if the rumours are true the actions performed by FSLabs are un-ethical and against most well known current data protection laws for many countries, more over it is against GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in Europe which was imposed by the EU Parliament on 14 April 2016 with an enforcement date of 25 May 2018.
I am nobody with authority to judge, I am just sharing my thoughts from both side of the coins, but for obvious security reasons I strongly advise any user that bought this product to change all their passwords as soon as posible.
    Best Regards,
    Simbol

    Hi everyone,
I joined Avsim July 13, 2007, and since then I've somehow managed to have 1000 things to say on these forums (I'm sure not all 1000 were gems  )
To celebrate hitting this milestone I thought I'd share a selection of shots from recent flights.
Thanks to everyone who make these forums a great place to discuss and learn more about this hobby we love.

  7. regis9 gave reputation to Kevlar01 in P3Dv4.2 - Lost Use of Num Pad Del Key
Since updating to v4.2 it doesn't appear that any of the num pad keys have any response in the sim...at least on my system.  In spot view the perimeter number keys (7,8,9,6, etc.) no longer cause the camera to rotate around the exterior view of the a/c either.
Dave - To answer your initial question, I believe the entry you are looking for is under controls - views - Look (reset to forward view).  The default assignment shows that Shift+Num Delete should work, but it doesn't in my case.  But maybe if you assign it to a key other than a num pad key you'll at least get back the function you want.
    Cheers,
    Kevin

Because LM don't sit back and twiddle their thumbs and wait for Beta testers to report bugs once they release a beta or RC build.  It would be extremely expensive and a huge waste of resources to have developers sit and wait for content providers to provide feedback and then only react when feedback is given.  During my several decades of software engineering there has never ever been a moment in time where I can sit back and say "I'm done" ... there is always, and I do mean always more to do at any given moment it time.  LM continue working, they add features, they proceed on "Future development plans beyond 4.2", they fix more bugs, sometimes a bug fix causes other bugs, and cycle continues all the way up until the last few days before release.  If something came out in those last few days that content providers didn't have time to test/check then they have to work changes post release.
As a customer also, there is nothing in my EULA with FSLabs that suggest:
    1.  They have to provide me any updates
    2.  They have to provide updates within a specific period of time
You might want to check your FSL EULA and see what you can and can't claim "as a customer".
It would be impossible for 3rd party to do a complete 100% systems test of their product on every single Beta drop and RC drop during a minor version cycle especially when the cycles become more frequent (as in a few days) towards final RC.
    Cheers, Rob.

I use it to update data every month along with navigraph.  That might be a bit of overkill, but i always fly using real world routes and real/world sids/stars so this ensures that all of those waypoints show up in-sim.

I see in the change notes some optimization has been done for dynamic lighting, I’ll be interested to see how much performance has increased.
Lots of fixes for time zones too, perhaps that will fix the issues some people have with trans Atlantic flight and ctd’s over Labrador.

I will check for you this over the next couple days, as my sim rig right now is configured for sim racing,  But I do have BDO's Liege installed in my p3dv4 install, it's just been a significant amount of time since I visited.  I don't think its perfect, and I don't remember any show stoppers, though I am more tolerant of such things than many here.  I also remember having to manually fix an issue I had, bt again I can't remember what exactly.  Give me a day or so, and I will check it out and jog my memory.

I’m half way between KMSP and KSLC on my first flight and all seems good so far.  The engines were off when I started up which I’ve never had happen before with this aircraft.
Loading the fuel and payload from the FMC worked well.  My only gripe is that it appears you have to enter the payload figure in the FMC rather than being able to enter the ZFW like most addons.  Not a deal breaker by any stretch but just something I’ll need to remember to write down in my flight planning.
