  1. I always use my NGX starting from a saved flight as I have a "special" panel configuraton on a multimonitor systemOf course the livery remains the same.Does the "service failure system" work anyway or everytime I load my saved flight it resets the hour counter?ThanksNick

  2. for the sound issue i've seen that using my second screen(touch screen) to use FMC with the hands make the engine sound going off!this happend when i click on the second monitor and the first monitor lost the focus.after that, if i make a click on the first monitor, the sound come back!
This happens to me too but I think this is not the way it should work...Can this "problem" be solved with something we can do ourselves or it will need un update from PMDG?Nick

  3. I found something that maybe can head someone to help me out. I use a multimonitor system, one screen for outside view and second for instruments. When I click on the outside view all sounds come up ok, as soon as i click on any instrument (Second monitor) the cockpit effects disappear and only engines can be heard. Thanks for your support Nick

  4. First of all I would like to congratulate with PMDG as this plane is FANTASTIC! I have only a couple of minor issues: The first one is related to the sound:I basically can hear only the engines, all other "effects" are mute:no clicks when push/move knobs, no ventilations, no callouts, no flaps movements, nothing apart from engines.Sometimes during the flight these sounds come up to desappear soon afterward. The second "problem" is concerning the 2D panel which is displayed only in widescreen.I read throught the forum this is something happened to other customers but I could not catch a clear answer on how to obtain a 2D panel in 4:3 format. On my FSX.cfg the line isn already:WideViewAspect=False Thanksfor your help Nick

  5. This is not meant to be a post like "one is better of another" but I've been using REX2.0 for a while and I have not experienced any TAT variation so far... (They are still fighting against wind shift issues though!!)I hope HIFI will sort out this problem soon as I am looking forward to start using ASA again...I will try ASA without loading a flight plan on it, I really hope it will work...Nick

  6. A couple of days ago I was flying my PMDG 744 from London to Kuwait City.As "usual" TAT went crazy three times during the 6 hours flight...While flying I stopped ASA (from a networked PC) keeping FSX meteo to "User defined". Then I switched back ASA on, hoping to evenatually reset it, unfortunately ASA kept causing wrong TAT as before...Then I decided to stop ASA again and at the same time I switched FSX Weather to "real time 15min update", after few more minutes I started ASA again and moved back FSX weather to User defined. Following this procedure everything went ok.As said before I had to experience strange weather issues three times during my flight, and the only way to fix them was interacting with both ASA and FSX weather at the same time.I have to say that before buying ASA I used to fly with ASX with exaclty the same PC configuration I am using now: I NEVER had this problem at all...I will fly the return leg to Heathrow using REX2.0 and I will report any inconvenient...if any...Nick
Ok then...I've been flying with REX2.0 instead of ASA for more than a week.I have to say that REX presents very annoing problems related to wind shifts (brilliantly solved by HIFI time ago...)!!!They say they are working on it... good luck...Let's go back to topic!I have flown about 20hrs with REX but the TAT was always as it should be!No fluctuations, not variations, everything has been ALWAYS normal! REX seems not being affected at all by the TAT desease! Now, considering that also ASX has never presented this TAT issue before (at least on my rig), after this little "investigation" my modest conclusions are that ASA is somehow involved on this matter. Is it causing it, triggering it...? Well I really do not know, let's hope HIFI will find it out for us soon.Hope it helps.Nick

  8. you want me to sell it !!!!! :( why ?? i relay like it,, i know the features that mcppro had is more than this but i prefer to get a solution than i sell it and give up ....by the way also the landing gear model is not working too with pmdg 747
Unfortunately everything relies to the fact of having the right Interface between your Mcp and 744X...If this interface software does not exist, there is not solution.Nick

  9. I see. Tom (in addition to anyone else who reads this) are you using ASX with the wind smoothing settings in FSUIPC and if so, how effective is it?Thanks,Brent
At least on my PC, ASX and FSUIPC work better together than what only ASX does...Having said that, be aware that wind shifts will always be there anyway!!! What FSUIPC does is only smoothing the wind direction changes, so instead of having a 180 degree change (YES 180

  10. For FSX (and all its add-ons) the most important thing you should look at it is the power of the CPU you want to buy. When we talk about CPU power I mean the Processor frequency: the highest Mhz you can have the highest FPS you will obtain.I write all this because if you use your PC mostly for flying Simmming, there is absolutely no need to waste huge amont of money for the newest CPUsExample: for FSX purpose it is much better having an "old" Intel E8600 Duo at 3.3mhz (even better if overclocked!) rather than a newer and most expensive CPU like a Q9550 Quad (at 2.8mhz).BUT: before you buy/change anything on your PC, I HARDLY raccomend all of you to get in touch with these guys: http://www.fs-gs.com/contact.htmYou will not believe how much money you will be able to save following their suggestions.Nick
