  1. You may be thinking of AlacrityPC (the only one I can think of). Here's the link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/alacritypc/ Thanks, James L.
  2. Actually the flight from Singapore Changi (WSSS) Isn't TOO bad... 3.5 hours, hahaha I guess it depends on what you consider long!
  3. Hmmm, I know if I calibrate my throttles using FSUIPC, they always override the A/T no matter what, is this your issue as well?
  4. In the FMC Options menu (I believe under Simulation) there's an option to turn on a blue line (Show Thrust Lever Position) that will show on the Engine Displays where exactly your physical throttle is without you having to turn off autothrottle. Match the blue line with the white line, disconnect, and you should be good to go.
  5. Hey, if I were you I'd file a support ticket on their website... http://support.precisionmanuals.com/Main/Default.aspx This is the place to go with activation/order issues, but you'll need to register a separate account. PS: It's a rule that you sign your full name, just a reminder!
  6. Looks like the aircraft self-shadowing is turned on? Try turning it off... Go Settings, Aircraft, and uncheck the box with Aircraft casts shadows on itself.
  7. As far as I've read, the only issue was with putting them out for free on the website, there was no issue with putting them in the (paid) package.
  8. Nice, glad to hear it all worked out for you!
  9. I'd definitely send a support ticket on their website here:http://support.precisionmanuals.com/Main/Default.aspxThey don't use the email system anymore, they switched to this ticket system a few months ago. Hope you get everything worked out!
  10. I'm hoping you mean Solar New Year! During the Lunar New Year (Chinese) the whole island pretty much shuts down... haha everyone except for us expats leave, it gets pretty quiet!Cheers,James Lunsford
  11. Haha, too bad you couldn't swing down to Singapore while you're in Thailand... It ain't too shabby of a place on this here island :( Cheers,James Lunsford
  12. Haha, that's exactly my thoughts when I first read it. I even had to scroll back up and read it again just to make sure my mind wasn't playing any tricks on me... So is he saying that when you buy it, it should instantly be installed on your system with no user input? haha :( Cheers,James
  13. If you've ever seen the ITVV MD-11 video, the Captain disengages the AT on approach into Mallorca a fair bit above the ground.Cheers,James Lunsford
  14. Have you tried running through the voice training software?Cheers,James Lunsford
  15. Too true, it still ain't perfect, but it's good enough for me! ******* basically made FSX enjoyable for once... haha :(
  16. And honestly, it makes my system work great! Can YOU explain that... (Oh look, we're still on the topic of things not working just peachy on ALL computers... haha)Cheers,James L.
  17. My GOSH I hope you're joking... Haha, I'm sure you areCheers,James Lunsford
  18. http://www.b737.org.uk/flightcontrols.htm#Short-field_Performance_Enhancement_ProgramIt is a real airplane? hahaCheers,James Lunsford
  19. Glad I could help! I never use the suitcase handle either since it's just way too slow for me :( Cheers,James Lunsford
  20. I think he's talking about the suitcase handle on the pedestal that you pull back to set the trim and then it "snaps back" into it's neutral position. This handle doesn't actually indicate the position of the stab trim but only changes it. Try pulling up the Config page on the system display screen and left clicking this handle on the pedestal until you see the stabilizer position on the Config page match the position required on the Takeoff page in the CDU (as Dan mentioned). Another alternative to clicking the handle is to assign a keyboard/joystick button to Elevator Trim (up) in the FSX controls menu and then holding that down until the correct trim is set for takeoff.Hope this helps,James Lunsford
  21. Haha, you're just a little behind buddy: http://forum.avsim.net/forum/365-the-microsft-flight-forum/Cheers,James

Great post and fun to read! I actually live like 10 minutes away from the Leesburg airport here in Virginia!James
  23. To be honest, the Aerosoft one seems to look better (which kinda stinks as I have the TropicalSim one...), and actually costs a little bit less. To me, the Aerosoft one seems like a win-win kinda deal! (Although the Aerosoft one doesn't have AES... YET!)Cheers,James
  24. YESSSSSSSSSSSS, SO REALISTIC!!!! :(James Lunsford
