  1. Exactly my concerns. I'm afraid nobody will probably be able to answer this until the release of MSFS2024. It looks great but I'll probably pass on it until I'd be be sure it won't become obsolete in a few months. EDIT: Now I see it says "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024" on their website. That's great, I'm just wondering how do they know that, since 2024 is supposed to have improved ATC system?
  2. I guess there is news for some people around here that developers tend to release new versions of their software from time to time.
  3. One time purchases are generally less expensive than subscriptions. Yes, it's less then a Big Mac menu but it's still 100$ per year, which is quite expensive for a product you need to buy every year! Good example is information in this thread - MSFS would cost $2 per month - I don't know of many 2 bucks per month subscriptions - usually they are around $10.
  4. Don't be dramatic. It's the same simulator with new logo and a price tag. I don't mind paying every four years - better then some lame yet another subscription model. As for the trailer - it was made for the audience where it was first shown.
  5. So, MSFS 2024 is basically the next MSFS 2020 update with new logo and a price tag? I don't have any issues with that, they do need to make money after all. Ten years of free updates just isn't viable. I'd be more upset if this would be a completely new sim, nothing to do with MSFS 2020. This is just what they were doing all along, Microsoft Flight Simulator 1.0, ..., FS 2002, FS 2004, FSX. I know they said 10 years, and if they give us 10 years of backward compatibility with a new sim every 4 years - sure, I'm in!
  6. In a few aspects it's better in other few it's worse.
  7. No problem. It was solved already. I will start at Gate 5 though. That's the bug.
  8. Are there any other must-have improvement mods for Longitutde to put on top of AA1 update one from Marketplace - those are just for avionics I think. I'm thinking along the lines of TBM improvement mod that adds additional functionalities or some texture mod that improves the interiors?
  9. I'm seeing the same as described by VFXSimmer and tup61 in this post before. We already determined that it's just an interface bug and if we hit Fly now button, it works as intended - you start c&d at the gates, even though the drop-down menu says runway.
  10. I select the one I want, the flight plan I generated in Simbrief.
  11. I don't follow. I press the space bar and load the Simbrief flight plan.
  12. I start MSFS, go to World Map, select an aircraft, load the flight plan and start the flight. I mainly fly the Kodiak, CJ4, Hjet and JF PA28 lately. Happens with all of them but not always.
  13. I used ActiveSky in FSX and P3D. Would not fly without it. I think the current weather depiction in MSFS is pretty good. If HiFi could improve on it I wouldn't think twice to buy the addon, no matter the price.
  14. Interesting. I have this issue on 2/3 of all the flights lately, for about a month or two. Didn't have it before either. Since I'm not the only one, I guess there must be a reason for it. I use Simbrief with Navigraph subscription. Load the flight plan into MSFS and that's it. Thanks to VFXSimmer and tup61, now I know it just looks like a bug. I should read what people tell me more carefully next time 😁
  15. It doesn't let me select it from the drop-down menu. It just "jumps" back to runway selection, whatever I select in the drop-down.
  16. I'm getting the same issue very often lately. I hope they will solve it soon.
  17. A lot of freeware addons will be lost among numerous other sites now.
