  1. I am having similar issues with my TCA was working fine installed FSiPanel now issues with TCA. Tried recalibrating but not getting anywhere. I see it in Control options but not with Fenix and appears uncalibrated now. What do you mean by AAO and where is Hardware device blacklist? All help appreciated.
  2. Tom, Thanks I have it set but am confused by the numeric I am seeing 860000 I think I was expecting to see 3.7 and hear the chimes rather than eat into coolstuff's thread is there somewhere you can direct me that makes sense on the numbers I am seeing. I have only conducted a short hop around FlyTampa's Dubai so not the most exhaustive test, I will be able to do more at the weekend.
  3. Cool Free Stuff I dont mean to steal your thread I am struggling with OOM as well. Tom, I have FSUIPC V4 on my system but can't see where the switch to monitor VAS is. Do I need a newer version and does it display it in FSX full screen?
  4. Chris, thanks for making me smile, I liked your 'About me' Statement, I have now updated my profile it had old details for a rig I own in the UK. I am still considering upgrading my system here in the UAE and may build my own or find a shop that will build to my spec. A second monitor to run Process Explorer and be able to call up some of my Flight Planning Docs might also be in order. I had a scenery config editor but it corrupted during the install now I cant uninstall it or reinstall over the top! I will continue to adjust my settings and will report back if I make a breakthrough, confident I am not!
  5. Gents, Good Morning, I am overwhelmed by the response thank you all. It is Sunday and where I work that is like a Monday so it will have to wait until I get back to the apartment later today. I understand the frustration of a 32 bit programme trying to work with a 64 bit system and the limitations. But there are people on this forum that manage it or at least reporting so. I am encouraged that it isn't my system which although compared to some is modest. I will digest the suggestions especially those from the great man Robert S. Randazzo as I think I have tried the majority of the other suggestions. I don't intend to give up, I have spent a small fortune on the software I have and my wife would kill me if she only knew. Thanks again, one and all, I will report back over the coming days.
  6. Gents thanks for the info, I will look for Steves FSXfixer I tried the FSPS Process Explorer on demo and it made little difference. I use FSPS Booster already. I need a really talented 'Boffin' to come upi with a way of beating this. I am hopeful that P3d will find a solution or develop a new version that we can all jump across to. Then he woke up! Thanks again.
  7. Thanks for the reply. I think I have done all but the save flight in the cruise. I will recheck the High res clouds and texture max load. I do realise that OOM are likely regardless of the spec of the system due to the limitations of the VAS but how frustrating is it when you see the post that states they never get them because they have their system set up properly. Thanks again.
  8. I have been experiencing OOM for a while now and was hoping SP1 would possibly solve the problem and that probably is a good indication of my understanding. I occasionally had them with the NGX but they were infrequent. I have tried removing all my photo scenery and reducing the sliders back to less demanding levels but still they occur. So if there is anybody out there that can give me a spec that will enable me to continue with this passion, sliders to the right demanding scenery including photo-realistic please let me know. My current system is an Alienware I7-3770CPU@3.40 Mhz 3.40 Mhz, 16 GB Ram running Win7 64bit and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX555. I use ASN FS Booster 2103 and TrackIr. I have most of the FlyTampa scenery along with a lot of European Aerosoft and UK2000 airfields. I was using Just Flights UK Photo-realistic scenery but have it disabled because of the OOM issues. All help gratefully received I am extremely frustrated by not being able to enjoy PMDGs excellent aircraft.
  9. Request for advice: I am running an Alien 51 system I7 3770 @3.4 Ghz, 16 Gb Ram Win 7 64 bit and a GeForce GTX555 Driver 296.36. I have a lot of addon scenery from Just Flight UK photo Scenery most of Gary Summons UK2000 scenery. I also run a lot of European destinations from Aerosoft and AS2012. At last to the point, I am using FSX Booster 2013 and wondered if I should use the NVidia Navigator fix as well or will they conflict. I used *******'s online FS Config editor previously on a different rig and wondered if I should consider running the Investigator changes as described at the begining of this thread. With NGX I get between 30 and 45 FPS but have noticed a drop with the T7. I have disabled a lot of my scenery to combat the OOM crasshes I experienced with the T7 which appears to have resolved that issue. Is it possible to use the ******* online fix FSX Booster and the profile changer NVidia Investigator. I appreciate the time and thank you in advance for the advice given
  10. I really rate it, Graphics are outstanding, the supporting documentation isn't as good as PMDG although it gets you going. The real buzz is hand flying and difficult airfields. What I particularly like is the ground nose wheel steering. Lovely commuter aircraft, very different FMS which throws you when you are used to Boeing, it comes into its own when you have a limited amount of time and want a short haul, as good as PMDG in many ways although for me the JS41 just edges it (now I have the graphics issue sorted).
  11. Chill pills all round, I was bounced for going off topic by a moderator and all I asked was what scenery the OP was using!
  12. Alex, I enjoyed the video. I think you are using the UK photographic scenery, Garry Summons' UK2000 Heathrow and AS2012, I have these but do not have trees are these a separate download? Who is providing your ATC? I was impressed is the lack of other traffic on the stands due to the online ATC you are using, I have never seen Heathrow so empty! I apologise to the OP for going off topic the next step for me is to use online ATC, I have TrackIR and am considering Ezdok. Thanks again for a good video. Regards Dave Boreham
  13. Paul, Thanks some times we ask a little too much!
  14. Paul, Are you able to dock the AS2012 gauge to that position, I use TrackIR and it would be a pain if the gauge was floating around as I moved my view?
  15. Paul Nice weather, I must remember to use the ASE2012 gauge in the centre CDU it fits well, I hadn't thought of doing that, it seems so obvious now! One thought on the United Livery the tail looked more like the old Continental tail, I may well be mistaken it is a long time since I used US airlines as I concentrate on Europe now?
  16. Kyle, I used the workaround by using an airfield reasonably close. I get airborne and then progress the FMC to the relevant waypoint in a similar way that you may wish to route direct to a point as long as you are on a closing heading it seems to work. When I get the chance I will take a longer look at the airport.txt file and try to decode the meaning of all the variables, the Threshold Lat Longs, RW length, elevation and mag hdg are all easy, there are some other pieces of data though that I don't understand so I wouldn't want to alter something and corrupt the file. It is still a work in progress, it is just having the time to explore it further. As I am enjoying myself formation flying on-line I am considering getting TrackIR as I currently do not have enough hands, I think this may take precedence over the airport file for the time being while I wait for the B777. Kind Regards Dave Boreham
  17. Kyle, Thanks, I have just manged a flight doing exactly this. When I tried the first time I had the warning that the Airfield posn was not as the IRS posn and didn't try to progress the route beyond this. I apologise to those who must have been scratching their heads and thinking 'What is his problem'! Thank you everybody, although if it was possible I would like EAFS in the database. Kind Regards Dave Boreham
  18. Ryan, Thanks. If you were operating from an airfield without an ICAO designator you would use ZZZZ in the departure airfield and then write the airfield name in full in field 18 of the flightplan. But how would you set up your FMC, align on the ground using the GPS will sort out the INAS but how do you populate the route in the FMC. I suppose it is unlikely that an airliner would operate from such an airfield so the problem would not raise itself. Could you get airborne VFR and activate the route using a nearby airfield's designator and a fly direct to a WPT? Otto, Thanks for the link, I am not brave enough to dabble to far into the files within other peoples database. I looked at the files using Notebook and although you can see the obvious parts of the data and it would be easy to add these there are variables within the data that are unclear to me so I will leave it alone for now. Thanks for your help. Kind Regards Dave Boreham
  19. I tried editing the database but it is not that straight forward the VHHX search helped to show me the files but the Navigraph files are as you would imagine write protected. The PMDG files are in a slightly different format but there were too many variables that were not obvious to me at least so I have left it alone. I will explore further over the coming days. Regards Dave Boreham
  20. Gents, Thanks for the heads up, I will try both methods later on this afternoon. I would like it in the database so I don't have toadd it from the present position on page 2 of the FMC. I tried this but I think you need the departure airfield in the route to complete the route and if the positions do not agree it tells you so! Regards Dave Boreham
  21. I have just started flying on-line and would like to start flights from Andras Field with the other guys but of course it will not allow me to align the INAS because if I use another airfield it recognises my position as too far. It would be good if I could add a line for EAFS with the coordinates. Our next flight will be inbound to Andras Field so it isn't such a drama as I will use a beacon that is close and recover VFR. I apologise if this has been discussed before but I couldn't see it, and help really appreciated. Regards Dave Boreham
  22. I love it all, the planning of a route, I love the approach and landing, it is a shame having spent a few hours getting to a destination and FSX ATC lines an aircraft up in front of you. I have had the opportunity to fly on the flight deck of many military aircraft it always amazes me when you have travelled over great distances and navigated using VORs and NDBs that you come out of the cloud and there before you is the airfield and runway spread out, welcoming you home. I wish somebody would redesign the ATC part of FSX, not the full blown packages that Radar Control or some of the virtual on-line sites offer just something a little more joined up that interacts with the AFCAD and AI side of the house a bit more. I realise I am drifting off topic so to bring it back definitely the Approach and Landing.
  23. Take a look at the link, If it works within FSX without killing the frame rates it will be amazing. I hope PMDG are considering a similar but better of course flight planning tool.
  24. I have excellent scenery for the UK, France, Germany, Luxembourg, and Spain a couple of the Greek Islands and Athens. They are by Aerosoft, Fly Tampa, UK2000 but I am lacking a destination in Italy. Can anyone recommend good scenery suitable for the Queen of the Skies or the NGX? I am considering adding the MD11, I had it for FS 2004 and enjoyed its looks and systems, but may just wait for the B777. I had Italy for FS before FS2004 but have Googled it and cant find an FSX version. I am also interested in NL2000 V4, I was able to buy that on disk for FS2004 but can't find it available on disk for FSX. I am weary of Bit Torrent and my download speed isn't up to it! Any suggestions gratefully received.
  25. I was on the flight deck of a VC10 going into Dulles many years ago, we were just about to leave the Centre to go to the final controller when a guy on another aircraft gave his amex number over the radio and asked the controller to pass it to his wife as he had forgotten to leave it when he left that morning, he also passed her telephone number. There were al lot of calls from many crews along the lines of 'Don't worry we will look after her and thanks for the meal' many can't be printed here. I also worked with a controller who in a very British accent when handing off traffic would end the transmission with 'Cheerio' rather than have a nice day. As a controller with over 20 years experience at Terminal and Centres I have heard some very strange transmissions, I will miss it when I retire in the coming months.
