  1. What is causing this: PMDG-MD11X and PMDG-747X excessive heading off-track and 35 degrees bank angle.MD-11 and 747X cannot maintain AP engage Nav track or heading during the various cross winds and wind speed changes. a-I didn't have this problem with PMDG-747in FS9.b-I wonder if there is Nav/HG sensitivity numbers in MD-11 and 747 cofig.files needs to be adjust.c-Only thing I checked in FSUIPC wind smoothing 1and 0. 2. So you mean you just turn on the 'preview' mode, or something else?? I recall having issues when trying todo this, but I don't recall when I last tried, might be before running Vista Ultimate 64. Guess I'll give it anothershot.
Check the FSX DX10 preview mode. Also, you need to check AA and Anisotropic filtering. In my opinion FSX Passenger, UTraffic-X and Atr72-500X compatibility problems with DX:10 mode/Vista 64Sanal

  3. Is anyone else getting consistent OOM errors with the MD-11? More importantly, has anyone found a way to reduce them? How can I tell if I have a memory leak? Thanks in advance.Bob..
I was getting OOM and sceneries/graphic/ screen switching problems. I resolved all of them with switching to FSX DX:10 mode. There are some minor issues with DX:10 mode, but nothing like before I made the switch to DX:10.I have Vista 64. Vista 64 my opinion has many problems with DX:9., because Vista 64 mode is DX:10. Navdia upper graphic cards are DX:10. So, simple logic says, why shall I put step stopper between, FSX DX10, Vista 64 DX:10 and high Graphic cards Navdia 280+ DX:10.This combinations, gave me problem free FSX flying.Try it...Sanal

  4. Hi,Right now, the only way to do so is to open the individual wave files with a sound editor and edit the volume. A volume control has been suggested for the future. Thanks,
Jim, Are you planing any major update for X-Pax. If you , can you consider these following items:1- drink / food /movie manual activation2-On going mini bar report, showing passengers approval figure , drink and food service progress and after arrival passenger status leaving the plane3- FA informs "all passengers left the plane"4- Flight review reportsRegardsSanal

  5. yes, sorry (Alex I am :) )I was indeed using ActiveSky. Will try FS weather next time...so there is nothing like "fuel heat" option? I guess not, otherwise your would've told me about it.How about the autobreak problem?Alex
I was flying at FL400. Destination BIKF (Iceland) "Real World Weather' was on and temp at 400FL was -63. I got "Fuel low Temp" warning and both engine were flare out. I manage to restarted at FL100. There is no "Fuel Heat" option in MD-11. Only help,EICAS warning "Decent to warmer altitute".Sanal

  6. I did dowload FSX and SP1 to my new PC . But I can't dowload SP2. I am getting a suprise message "Microsoft Flight Simulator X service Pact2 requires the English version of Flight Simulator X" MY FSX is an English version..I never have problem in last two years installing/uninstalling FSX SP1 and SP2.. Why I am getting this warning? Am I doing some thing wrong???ThanksSanal

  7. That is a good question. I just purchased a new PC and downloaded FSX. There were no DX10 review any longer at Graphic setting. Some search , FSX sp 1 doesn't have DX10 review. SP2 has DX10 review. I didn't downloaded yet., I am sure it must be there.Sanal
Service Pack 2 contains Directx 10 review . http://www.fsinsider.com/downloads/Pages/F...rvicePack2.aspx "Flight Simulator X Service Pack 2 addresses these post-release customer concerns (see the Readme file for details):Multiplayer compatibility with Flight Simulator X: Acceleration DirectX 10 previewIMPORTANT: If you have already installed Flight Simulator X: Acceleration expansion pack, do not install Service Pack 2.IMPORTANT: You must install Service Pack 1 before installing Service Pack 2."

  8. Maybe rhetorical question but how do you set FSX to DX10 Preview mode?

  9. Some airports have it, some don't. You'll also notice that your nav and beacon lights are rarely visible. It's either a nvidia issue or a DX10 issue, and as far as I know, there's no way around it, save updated drivers. Until the 181.20 drivers, apparently the flickering taxiways were much much worse. I guess just hold out hope that updated drivers fix it.-stefan
I cumulated around 10 hours flight with Md-11 x in DX10 mode. I don't think I will ever go back to DX9. I have experiencing some times Nav lights problem, but its many times better then screen black and window/none window and graphic/scenery problems.Sanal

  10. Sanal,Many thanks for identifying this fix.I shall not be applying the hot fix because the Microsoft text saysWindows Vista hotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.I am always very cautious about applying hot fixes. Instead I prefer to wait for software updates. Just a matter of trust :( Cheers, Richard
THe Only thing I am sure of is that problems in last two years are gone. No more OOM, black screens and many ugly graphics issues, and many others. Please look at my two picture. First one with DX9 and second one DX10, FSX "AA" ."Anisotopic" filtering selection and Microsoft hotfix.Regards

  11. Hi SanalI made the move to Vista 64 Home Premium.Dual Core E8600 2X 3.33 GHz8GB RAMUSUS P5QNVidia 9800GT 1024MBFS9 runs @ 70+FPS with all the sliders to the far right.FS9 runs @ 50+FPS with PMDG 737NG and 747-400 sliders to the far rightIf you go for Vista you need the 64bit system otherwise you will have OOM errors.System runs well although I am still clearing a few bugs ( not PMDG )You cannot use the Options / PMDG menus in full screen mode. Works okay in normal windows mode.Cannot start Sqawkbox in fullscreen mode - will operate in FSM thereafterHad to purchase FSUIPC to resolve some control input issuesStill have an issue on Sqawkbox when there is a buzz every time anyone uses the mike. There are some fixes but these don't work on mine.Overall I am pleased and the graphics are brilliant although I have spent a fair time on the help sites getting rid of one or two bugsRegardsRoyH
RoyH,Thanks for your advise. Do you have FSX. If you, how is your FPS run for PMDG747X/MD-11XRegardsSanal

  12. I have good PC and close to two years I was experiencing OOM , black screen and many graphic problems ,specially when I switch Ctrl+Alt+Enter window mode /none window mode. Paul Gollnick,Manager PMDGCustomer and Technical Support was helping me to find a solution. Last week he sent me http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953186 link regarding solving Vista problems for black screen issues. I downloaded and nothing happened , PMDG 747X and MD11-x continues experiencing structure disappearing at dusk time and some airport terminal sceneries, also.I informed Paul, he asked me if I am using FSX DX10 mode. I said no. Then I decided to try DX10 mode.BINGO all problems disappeared . I made two flights with MD11X and 747X in both flights at dusk time I didn't experience any structurer disappearance or any black screen. Utilizing FSX DX10 solved my problems. DX10 also improved performance.Only minor problems I did have experience I cannot use nHancer and UT Traffic . I think both softwares are not complain with FSX DX10. I have confidence nHancer, must have a solution,.I suggest try to utilize FSX DX10,and make sure download Microsoft Vista Hot fix 953186, also in FSX Graphic settings select Anisotropic filtering and check AA settings. I hope this info will help you ,also.Sanal :(

  13. Here is the PC configuration I am interested to purchase. Will I have any performance problem with this configuration, IF. yes. What upgrades do you recommend, to I can fly MD-11X and 747X FSX slides up-to MAX?? ThanksSanalIntel Core2 processor Q9400 (2.66GHz,1333FSB) w/Quad Core Technology and 6MB cache 4GB DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz nVidia GeForce GTX 280 1024MB Serial ATA RAID 1 With Dual 320GB Hard Drives OS: Vista 32 bitCan I have get over 25FPS in Major Airports. If not what upgrades will Ineed it?
Do you have any expertise advise for above configuration? It is important for me.ThanksSanal

  14. I'd like to second Dan Downs' post. I just made the move to Vista 64 (x6800 2.93ghz, 8gb 800mhz, 768mb 8800gtxoc, 1 75gb 10k, 2x75gb 10k striped for FSX partition). I had very satisfactory performance under V32, but even with the /3gb switch & OS mod I'd often max the RAM usage. Under x64, assuming you have access to all required x64 drivers, you should have no problems. However, I would recommend going to 8gb of RAM (4x2gb was approx 140usd last month). The latest fsx binary is large memory address aware and is able to demand RAM past the 2 or 3gb limit of a 32-bit system (WoW in Vista 64 will still only grant a LMA x86 thread up to 4gb). The additional RAM will offer plenty of overhead for system tasks, other software, etc. For some background on the SLI and multi-core questions PTaylor's blog archives have good info (though pay attention to the dates):http://blogs.msdn.com/ptaylor/archive/2007...multi-core.aspx-Dan D. (not Downs! :D)

  15. Well, with the 32 bit system, there exists a possibility to get OOM errors. But, the video card is nicer. The second system may be fine, but the SLI won't help you at all. Also, I and some others have been having severe graphical problems in Vista 64. It's really hard to say without the rest of the system specs.-stefan
Stefan,Thanks for your replay. I was very satisfied XP performance in FS9. I switched to FSX with Vista 32. Then all OOM problems started. Iwas wondering, will I return to XP or not.? I will probably will stay Vista 64. If I can get the nVidia GTX260 to that PC..Sanal

  16. If I have to choose between two OS options and video cards which option I should choose for MD-11X and 747X:1-Windows XP Pro with nVidia GTX260 1GB Video Cardor2- Vista Premium 64 bit with SLi, Dual nVidia GeForce 9800GT 512MB and the Aegix video acceleratorThanksSanal
    Do you have any recommendation???
