Sooo their (ini) aircraft and scenery perform poorly which also seems to reflect their ethics & business practices… nice.

That’s no surprise, it’s iniBuilds… everything they touch has poor performance

I had this debate with myself recently when I wiped my windows and do a fresh reinstall. After seeing several articles and tests show that windows 11 performs slightly worse in games and photo/video editing apps than 10, I decided to just stick with windows 10. 

This has been the #1 plane I've been waiting for! Was by far my favorite back in the FSX days! Didn’t pre order though, so will have to wait with the rest of us, whenever that will be… 

I thought it worked well enough and is enjoyable. May not be perfect but I rarely ran into issues!

inibuilds LAX does it for my 4080 at 2K. Because of that bad of performance, I haven’t bought another addon from them. It’s the only scenery that causes my 4080 to max out. 

Great scenery! Hometown airport, and I’ve been saying for a long time someone needs to do it as its location and scenery is great for people unfamiliar with the area! And now with the terminal and ever expanding airline routes, it offers something for everyone. 

I also don’t need yet another Airbus. Especially from a dev who can’t seem to properly optimize their products for the sim (A310 tanks performance, same with their sceneries).

Maybe I’m missing something then… me and the only other buddy I have that uses the sim both get poor performance with it and we’re both underwhelmed. We had  looked forward to it, used it a few times, put it back in the hangar and it’s been there since. Same with their sceneries, bad performance and poorly optimized. There’s a reason they are able to rush out every product they’ve ever touched.

TLOD is 200 and I’m not sure number of AI. Whatever live traffic setting in MSFS put in. Maybe around 20-30?

PS. RTX9090 won't help you guys. Many sceneries are still CPU-depended, so learn how to oc your CPU to 5.5-5.6

Rare to get to 5.5+… Most of us are happy to OC in the 5.0-5.3 range. And even then, it doesn’t help much with sceneries that are poorly optimized. The best thing that’s ever happened for the sim hardware IS the RTX4080/90. Overclocking my CPU to 5.0 saw a few frames more. Putting the 4080 in my system saw more than a 100% improvement. So yes, overclocking can help marginally, but it’s not the solution to one developer who is notorious for poor performing sceneries. FlyTampa KLAS is better quality and includes the entire strip and I don’t see a measurable drop in performance with that.  

Nope, still horrible performance for me even with an RTX4080 and frame generation on. 

I don’t know. I get the frustration on delays when you’re looking forward to something, but this community makes it hard for any dev to win. Everyone throws a fit when they hear “soon” or “it’ll release when it’s ready”. So they give a release date of when it’ll drop IF everything continues to go as plan, then something comes up that was unexpected so it gets pushed back, and then the community gets mad at that too. 
 

Maybe just count on it not happening when they say, so if it does, it’s a nice surprise. If not, then no harm no foul. Besides, I wouldn’t think this product is big enough to miss out on work or  extra income for… (no offense REX!). But that’s just my opinion, to each their own! 

All ini airports have been a fps killer for me too.

As said before, it’ll only be inevitable if we allow it. Just sit back and let others dictate how our jobs go, our lives work, etc. while the CEO’s get richer and unemployment stays up. How many thing will everyone let be taken from them just because it’s “inconvenient” to do something? Where do we draw the line? There is a place for AI, but a cockpit is not that place. AI is suppose to HELP us, not replace us.  

I will ALWAYS push back and fight against this word not allowed. Autopilot is enough automation. Straight up replacing pilots?? No.

It’s common to land long when following them in real life too. Most of my co workers will come in with 3 red 1 white to better hit the 1,000’ zone.

KPVU. Right next to a large lake, in a valley by 11,000’ mountains, brand new terminal built, huge GA presence, base for Allegiant and Breeze, has a large university also based there along with a Signature FBO.

Those of us who don’t have 30fps to spare… which is the majority of users. 
 

And the argument with Ferrari (niche/minority) doesn’t work. Does Honda (majority/masses) waste their time trying to push the envelope with high tech fast cars, or do they put their focus, energy, and money on what the majority of their customers uses and needs are? Besides, I’ve got a 4080 myself and even I don’t always have 30fps to give up 😒
