To make the setting persist edit the .FLT file(s) and look for this section:
[LocalVars.0] XMLVAR_LANDING_TAXI_OFF_Switch_Position=2 XMLVAR_FuelSelectorAuto=0 XMLVAR_TBM930_FrontDoor_Unlock=1 XMLVAR_TBM930_BackDoor_Unlock=1 XMLVAR_TBM930_FrontDoor_Init=1 XMLVAR_TBM930_BackDoor_Init=0 XMLVAR_TBM930_CargoDoor_Init=0 XMLVAR_TBM930_HidePilot=0 XMLVAR_TBM930_HideCoPilot=0
Change 0 to 1 for the Hidepilot entries. You can also set the door states here too.

8 hours ago, kaosfere said:Got it. That gives me an idea where to look, thanks. I'll try to get that fixed post-haste.
Not certain, I'll validate that. 🙂
Thanks for looking into it.
If it helps, this mod has the synthetic vision switch working in the G3000. With this mod there is another menu level after clicking ATTITUDE OVERLAYS.

Hi Rob,
I also found these changes on the G3000 flying the TBM this evening. Thanks very much for including them.
Regarding the synthetic vision, yes it is off by default and cannot be enabled. Following the buttons PFD SETTINGS and then ATTITUDE OVERLAYS nothing happens when clicking this button when attempting to re-enable it.
Not a biggie but would be nice if it's an easy fix to implement.
Also, is the Track Up on the MFD working on the G3000 as noted in an earlier post? I can't seem to find how to enable it with the G3000 and touch controllers.
Thanks again for your (and the teams) great work with this mod.

Just a heads up as I came across this last week but not seen anyone mention it here yet is that a PFPX performance file for the JS41 has been released and availble from here:
http://airlinerperformance.net/
There is also an updated version of the Q400 performance file available which includes better climb, cruise and descent profiles.
Please note that you will need the latest version 1.22 of PFPX to use these perfomance files.
Cheers,
Serge -
Here is the file Steve was referring to (I'm not sure if you need to be registered to access this).
http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/2428-aircraft-template-beech-b60-duke/
I have used it however there is an error with the cruise tables. Although the values were obtained from the performance tables supplied with the aircraft, the author based the cruise fuel flows on a single engine which is how it is noted in the tables. I contacted the author about this and he said he would update the file but it hasn't been done yet.
If you do download this file you will need to edit it and double the fuel flow values for the cruises tables. The taxi fuel values also seem a little high so you may also want to adjust these values too. Apart from that the profile seems pretty good.

Hi Roland,
Thank you very much for this add on. I have just installed it in my PMDG JS41 and it works very nicely. I do have a couple of questions however. From the JS41 VC I can control the tilt and range with the mouse wheel but it appears it's not possible to control the gain. Is this a feature you can add or is it missing for a reason? Also, would it be possible to add a spot to turn it on/off? When the battery is turned on the weather radar powers up immediately. It would be nice to be able to control when to turn it on/off as per SOP's.

Serge

G'day Ric,
You might want to check out this page. It appears someone has done the work for you.
http://www.bleedair.de/ultimate-traffic-2-fsx.html
I don't have these installed however so can't say if it works as advertised.

Hi,
Any news to report on the progress of the JS41 PFPX performance file?

Actually a user on the ORBX forums has tried FSX with Windows 10. Things seem rather positive considering it's a preview release.

Sure ASN has it quirks (Like no updates of arrival weather in some conditions) but this could be some setting I have to iron out.. For me opusFSX was a gift from heaven but as the program moved on in development it got more and more inaccurate.. Started to get wind shifts, clear visibility in IMC conditions(wasn't a problem in early opus - heck I still have the metar comparison screens I did).
Only thing I would miss is the cameras.. Which I have from OpusFSX, so that's not an problem
Interesting you mention this. I too thought the earlier versions of OpusFSX had better and more accurate weather than the later ones. I switched over to Active Sky Next some time ago and am quite pleased with the results.
You might want to check your Active Sky Next settings regarding the updates on arrival. There is a setting for that (can't remember the exact naming though, maybe no updates on approach or something similar).
Also, you can still use you Opus cameras in conjunction with Active Sky Next, as I do. Start Opus but uncheck the weather engine option.Cheers,
Serge
Edit: re-read your post and it appears you do have the Opus camera's running with ASN.

G'day Ben,
First off, well done on the Q400 Cadet Training. I really enjoyed watching the episodes and it has definitely helped improve my skills flying this aircraft although I still have a fair way to go before I will be truly satisfied with my level of performance. I plan to watch through the episodes a second time shortly as I'm sure I can extract more information out of them.
The flights you have listed for the FO Training look great and cover a nice cross section of different flights and conditions. The short "How To's" are a good idea also. I don't have anything to add here however one thing I think will be nice to see is a downloadable PDF of the Flight Briefing Package (from SimBrief or PFPX) for each line flight along with any other relevant documents such as charts. Even better would be if the OFP includes any annotations you make along the way (eg. noting actual times and fuel weights at waypoints, flightplan changes etc).
Keep up the good work and I look forward to the FO Training (with the added documents ).

Serge

Sydney is under construction by FlyTampa, Perth I have no ideas. I wished somebody redo Brisbane, a more FPS friendly version.

Brendan,
Anthony Lynch has produced some great freeware Australian airports including Brisbane. Check it out here:

Hi Rob,
Great news about the update.
Will it also include the ability to use the mouse wheel for switches similar to the Turbine?

Has anyone had any issues with their Buttkicker Gamer 2? I purchased mine back in January after seeing this thread. In late February it developed a problem where the amp wouldn't come out of standby so it was replaced under warranty. A few days ago the replacement amp developed the same problem; it won't come out of standby. I'm waiting on the store I purchased it from to resolve the issue however I thought I’d check here in the meantime to see if I’m alone with these issues.

We will be soon be updating the Piston Duke to RealAir Legacy sound and visual effects standards, and a slightly revised flight model that enhances what is already there. Then we will work on the Duke Turbine in a similar manner. Our aircraft are made for the long term.
Best Wishes,
Rob - RealAir
Hi Rob,
Will this also include the option to disable the VC click spots (for Track IR users) and being able to use the mouse wheel for switches similar to the Turbine?
I always find it frustrating when going from the Turbine to the Piston and having the VC view change with a misplaced mouse click or using the mouse wheel to turn on the fuel or flick a switch and nothing happens. It would be great to get these features consistent between the two aircraft.

Roy,
I wonder if it's a routing issue? I'm in Perth. I'm assuming your east coast?
Also, apologies for mistyping your name in my previous post.

Hi Ray,
This probably doesn't help you but I checked just now and I can access the OPUS website fine with iinet. I saw your post in the Whirlpool thread so hopefully you hear something from an iinet rep.
Good luck. Hope it's resolved soon.

I have just checked from home and I can access the OPUS website fine with iinet. This doesn't appear to be the same problem as before (refer to link in my earlier post). For reference I am from Perth. Perhaps there is another issue here???
Regards,
Serge -
I had this issue back in April and am also with iinet. I found a similar thread about this issue on the Whirlpool forums and posted about it there.
http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2058606
An iinet rep responded and sorted it out. I'm not at home at the moment to check (although I'm sure it worked fine over the weekend) however when I get home later I'll check for you so see if the problem has returned.

There are some more Spanish airports to be found here including Valencia with others such as Seville and San Sebastian in development. I don't have any of these airports installed so I can't comment on quality.

If you have the Freeware ORBX AU AI Traffic add-on installed they include a couple of Control Towers (Hi and Low) which you select from the FSX Aircraft menu. Once in the Sim you then slew the tower around to a good location and enjoy the view. You can even open up panels for the radio comms and radar to assist with the spotting.
I was using this a few days ago after forgetting it was installed and had quite some fun just lazing about spotting aircraft.

Darwin is also needed
Anthony Lynch has done a very nice Freeware version of Darwin International which can be downloaded from OZx.
http://aussiex.org/f...-international/
It is also available in a pack with many of his other excellent Freeware airports.

Search for Logbook in the FSX Utilities section of the Avsim file library. There you will find some tools that allow you you edit your FSX Logbook along with exporting it as a CSV file for viewing in programs like Excel.

Below are links to some worked examples you can find in the Avsim PMDG NGX forum. These cover different routes but should provide you with the fundamentals to create your own routes. The PMDG NGX tutorials are also useful.

TBM930 CTD
in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Posted
I've had recent success using the keyboard shortcut to start the battery (ALT+B if I recall correctly) rather than using the mouse. I can then turn on the generator with the mouse and continue with no CTD.
I bet that now I have posted this I will CTD next start.
