Hi Erich I am not aware of any in-sim replay functionality of Tacview. Tacview is replaying the flight in its own map (which can be filled with specific terrain layer data). There is a free Tacview Starter version and a 21 day free trial period for Tacview Standard. So you might want to try whether the software suits your needs. Best reagrds Andreas

Remote Overhead 777

Hi Mark Thank you for the reply. Great to hear that you are thinking/working on a respective "solution". I am looking forward to its release -
You might need to uninstall and hide from reinstall subsequently, after KB4038788 provided patches from Microsoft (such as KB4041676) too.
-
My personal priority 1 wish is having a fix. Time when the fix will be available for me is secondary. And I am happy to hear that MS is announcing having taken attention to this matter, figured out the problem and being willingness to provide a patch to cure the problem.

Rob's most recent information can be found here https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=126667&start=255#p169125 So probably quite a few of us (running P3D V3.X) will look forward to around November 14th, 2017 when Microsoft is intended to release a respective patch to correct the occuring CTDs.

Unfortunately I have to confirm Jude's findings. Also in my environment (P3D 3.4, Windows 10) after having updated with KB4040724, trying to start P3D is resulting in a CTD just after having loaded environment i.e. right before flight sim screen would show up. Did you also note that it is looking like KB4038788, previously diabled from updating, now is showing as having been installed?! And even worse, after having updated with KB4040724 it is looking like KB4038788 can not be selectively deinstalled anymore. So I will need to deinstall/hide KB4040724 and hope that Microsoft will come up with a respectively amended patch in a reasonable time . . . Andreas Furger

"not yet" hopefully doesn't mean never Most current statement (May 24, 2017 1:33 am) by VRS Varmint in the VRS forum (https://forums.vrsimulations.com/forums/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=18147#p119300) was: "Just to chime in here, I would urge people to settle in the long haul (months) on any TacPack/Superbug compatibility with P3D v4. It is also highly likely that the changes required are going to be so large, we may have to roll them into a 2.0. This is not going to be trivial and there will not be anything remotely resembling v4 support for the foreseeable future."

At least according to https://forums.vrsimulations.com/forums/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=18147 VRS products are not yet Prepard3D v4 compatible

auto start with FSX
furger replied to ozflyer's topic in Aviasoft Remote CDU for Phone / Tablet Official Support Forum
Hi Jeganathan Put it into EXE.XML (however as far as I recall the installation might do that anyway [on request?]) . . . <Launch.Addon> <Name>SimServer</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>"Your drive/directory"\SimServer.exe</Path> <CommandLine> </CommandLine> </Launch.Addon> . . . Good luck Andreas -
Hi Bryan You might want to change the link to the FS2Crew forum on your website (from currently https://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?s=08ce222c1a8dceac36c718efed90b25f&showforum=212 to https://www.avsim.com/forums/forum/212-fs2crew-support-forum/). Regards Andreas Furger

Hi Wen Trying to activate my 777 I unfortunately receive the following error message as of today "error unable to connect to activation server please check your internet connection and try again" Could it be the case that your server needs a reboot again? Regards Andreas

The only reason I could think of why there were two entries for "Autofeather (arm/off)' is that I most likely did not deactivate FS2Crew before having made the updates of P3D and FS2Crew. And as it looks like havin been the only assiggnment which should up twice . . . I (hopefully) finally resolved the situation by having set assignments to "Reset Default". Thank you again Andreas

Hi Bryan Thank you for the feedback. Yes, I had assigned "$" to "Autofeather arm/off". When pressing this button then something is shortly flashing up (on the right hand side of the screen, at a size totally different to what I have been used for with FS2Crew). However it's just like a flsh. Therefore I can't say what it is. And it does not come again when pressing the key once again. Now, guess what, I tryed to change the assignment and found 2 entries for "Autofeather arm/off" (see attached PrintScreen)??? I then assigned the other one to "SHIFT + N" and this one is working. Great - thank you for the good idea - problem solved. But do you know what these 2 entries are? They look to me like being exactly the same. By the way, I did a full install (after having deinstalled the previous version). Best regards Andreas

Hi After having used FS2Crew successfully for quite some time I now encounter a problem with starting it. Currently I do not even have any reference to FS2Crew panels in the 'Views -> Instrument Panels' option of P3D. Yes, I have 'enabled' FS2Crew via the FS2Crew 777 Config Manager and yes, I am running P3D with Admin rights and also the 777's panel.cfg file shows the FS2Crew entries (as [Window20] to [Window24]). What I did in between the last time it worked correctly: I updated to P2D 3,2, reinstalled PMDG777 (with some additional liveries), reinstalled FS2Crew 1.8, . . . Any good idea would be appreciated. And if you want to, there is a great tool "LogEdit" from Dan Downs at AVSIM Library available which allows you to convert between FSX and P3D formats of the logbook resp. importing from either format. The tool can be found at http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=191574 Andreas Furger
