  1. So you say but it is unknown, that sort of thinking is naturally reflective of the arrogance of mankind, fountain of youth will have side effects and will have mental health issues that is absolutely true, and will not be available to the masses because of its value, therefore just like Plastic Surgery today is for the wealthy any fountain of youth will be very expensive because of its value. My view is the already crazy eclectic wealth will get to live to 200 years and their brains weren't right in the first place, and it won't get any better with medically induced age 🤣
  2. I always wondered about mental health and anti aging, keeping a body alive for 200 years will outpace the brains functionality, we will be left with wealthy, privileged 200 year old mad dudes making bad decisions for a generation 2 centuries younger than them 🤣
  3. I am one of the ones that said 'Before 2003' to be honest my favourite generation was Sublogic Flight Simulator 2 back in the very early 80s, because all though it was very limited in those days we were blown away that a home computer could do these things, and most importantly the limitations were easily overcome by the most powerful graphic chip, your imagination. Therefore Wire Framed Buildings were filled in because you could imagine them that way. Todays MSFS is top notch and amazing to see how far its come, but absolutely early 80s was the age of wonder, imagining where this was going to develop into over time, and the excitement of every innovation along the way
  4. But the possibility of the MAX turning a profit shrinks more with every year we get into this program, never in the history of Aviation has a re-engine turned out like this, and they are going to have to build a new ground up replacement anyways so no avoiding that. Like I said they should have stuck to the original plan
  5. Juan Brown had said the same thing.... Here is the thing about Renton Tubes, there were 5 airliners produced in Renton that were 12'4" Diameter Tubes, First one being the 707, second one was taking a 707 tube and shortening it and you had the 720 (the forgotten airliner). Next one was taking a 707 tube and shortening it as well, but changing the wings, landing gear stabilizers and engine quantity and you get the 727, which still had some common components to the original 707 like fuselage bulkheads, pressure bulkhead, cockpit footprint, windscreens in the front, windows, doors etc etc etc. Next up was the 737, which was the same concept taking a 707 fuselage, shorten it but keep the common components, change the wings, landing gear, and stabilizers, make it twin engine, make it much lower to the ground for easier ground handling in regional airports, and that was the 737, it still had common components to the original 707 as well but modified to suit its needs. The 757 was the one produced in Renton that also had a 12'4" tube diameter but that was about it, they redesigned everything else and had common components to the 767, flight deck, windscreens, windows, doors, avionics were all modernized, it was meant to be interchangeable for pilots flying between a 757 and 767 as the operations were similar. Therefore common sense would have dictated to use this platform over the 737 for a New Engine Option because it was a far more modern airliner then the 737?????? Will no the airlines wouldn't accept that, the 757 has a higher clearance then the 737, and a higher clearance means airlines need to replace infrastructure like hangar doors, maintenance facilities etc to accommodate a larger height, truth is Airliners drive orders and the MAX was what the Airlines wanted, this mess isn't on anyone party it is a combination of interests that led to the MAX My view is the MAX should never have happened in the first place. Boeing was working on Boeing Yellowstone Project to replace the old 7-Series with three new ground up aircraft, and only one phase was complete being the 787, the other two phases were replaced with the MAX and the 777X. I would have preferred a new 737 replacement aircraft based on the technology from the 787 instead, but that ship has sailed a long time ago.
  6. The infinity would suggest our big bang may not be the only one, we could be one of many, and the possibility for an event when one or more universe collide during expansion and overlap I don't fully buy into Yo-Yo theory I just like the idea that it closes up on itself and the energy from that means it starts again
  7. Worth going down to take a look, if not the Electra it is more likely a 1950s era military due to the swept back wings, which if anything could lead to closure for a family. If it is the Electra the wings must have remained intact when ditched in the sea and sank while attached, and broke and settled in the shape we see in the sonar when hitting the ocean floor, therefore plausible, and probably worth taking a look. One way or the other it leads to closure for someone
  8. The universe is a Yo-Yo expanding in all directions until its energy runs out, then it retracts to its origin once again creating the next 'Big Bang', and the cycle continues
  9. I've always said I would have been the Blacksmith, because you will never run out of work, or have to go looking for work, and you will never be cold in the winter. Also you get to raise your kids where you work and know what they are up to all the time. The Automobile was what eliminated that sort of work / home environment, even up to the 1920s they used to build Shops with an apartment above and that building was both your home and your business, when the automobile came you ended up in a house in a suburb and for the first time in the history of the world, work and homelives become separated
  10. Happy Birthday Bill, looking forward to many more
  11. I'm all for an airline called Anesthetic Airways, first you go into the Anesthesia room near the gate and put under, then all the passengers loaded onto an aircraft like cargo, at the destination they are unloaded and brought into a recovery room where you wake up next to your luggage, this would solve all that bad behavior when flying 🤣
  12. Why does it make me think when you mix the FAA with diversity, equity, and inclusion you end up with this...
  13. It was satire on my part, but yea the US Armed Forces are either transparent about it's capabilities, or secretive about it's capabilities, but never exaggerates about its capabilities, when the USA does (properly) develop Hypersonic Technology it is because it takes the time to get it right, and that was the reason why the USA was the second to put a man into space, the USA isn't reckless in its endeavors, take the time, get it right
  14. Other countries over exaggerate, you can tell they are lying when they speak 🤣
  15. Exactly what Bill said, no one good in there right mind would ever enter public office when all the best opportunities are in the private sector, or making your own fortunes. Even my 6 year old has said they would never want to be a Prime Minister, even she knows better 🤣
  16. I used to reinstall Windows10 every 6 months when running FSX and P3D and it was always painful but necessary, what you went through is pretty standards this hobby is a niche not mainstream so we have to go to great lengths to make things work, that is an endless cycle I will admit Flight Sim 2020 is much easier now and I don't invest as heavily into addons anymore, so I just don't have to reinstall things anymore which is far less stressful
  17. The Rear Rudder is the problem with winds like that while parked at the gate. I've sat on aircraft on the ground at Wellington Airport during winds (we are considered one of the windiest airports) and the winds hitting the rudder felt as strong turbulence, even though we were on the ground and not moving. The winds flows are disrupted by the building and swirls around a lot but the rear rudder is getting a lot of stress from it. We can get 140 to 160 km winds a few times a year but we are better prepared for that because like I said, we are are really really windy place in the world, so our infrastructure is designed for that, and earthquakes too EDIT: looking at the video of the one that spun, it was not at the gate and likely the wind generated some lift on the wings raising the nose wheels slightly or reducing the weight on the nose, amazing to see that 😗
  18. 6 months is not enough considering the fraud, covering up the investigation, and risk to life, he got off easy
  19. I'd see it now that Disney ruined Star Wars and Marvel 🤣
  20. Doctor McCoy had Transporter Phobia, and legitimate reasons for it. I am going with Bones on this one, I wouldn't use them either 🤣
  21. I haven’t seen this show yet but that sounds great
  22. They already have a replacement, it's called the 777-9 and here is why: B747-400 (the most popular model) Capacity 416 Seats B777-9 Capacity 414 to 426 Seats Also the airlines do not want to operate a 4-engine aircraft anymore to lower maintenance costs, so if you made a replacement of the most popular 747-400 that is a 2-engine model that is exactly what the 777-9 is as far as capacity goes, therefore it has already been replaced and launching soon
  23. Congrats, maybe just ask her what she want's to do???
  24. I tell you what Noel I started Flight Sim when I was 12 years old and if I end up in a retirement home you bet I would take my Flight Sim with me, that has been the one consistent thing I have had since I was 12 and I am 52 years old now. People and places and things have always come and gone but the Flight Sim will always be there, and it has been a delight to see it develop from simple CGA graphics to this immersive world we have today. If you are the oldest Flight Simmer at the moment hopefully I will be one day too, be well my friend.
  25. I said it today, even if the US Government, through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), released the true story, wouldn't matter because no one would believe it, everyone would question it, because Conspiracy Culture holds more value then the truth, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion... Therefore we will never know because moving forward Society in general is Dysfunctional 🤣
