  1. I have just started flying theMU2 in P3D V4.5 as well and noticed the same - lights up the ground unrealistically from some pretty high altitudes. Is that embedded in the model or can anything be adjusted in the aircraft.cfg? Jim
  2. Thank-you Al! That is the doc I was looking for. Really appreciate you sharing that! Cheers - Jim
  3. The link to the pilots operating manual appears to be offline (MU-2B Pilots Operating Manual - http://givdemo.com/images/N360RA POM & AFM.pdf) Does anyone have a downloaded copy they would be willing to share? Jim PS - apologies for resurrecting a 3 year old discussion, since the link was in the first post figured it was appropriate
  4. Listed at full price for me. Do you have the p3d version and this is a cross platform deal?

I’m sure that is $20 off the $99 for the 767 instead of off the regular, but never charged price of $135, but stranger things have happened. copied from their email.... Captains,Goodbye 2020 sale (all* Base Packs are $20 off) starts at 2020Z 20DEC2020.Runs for 20 hours only. See you at https://www.captainsim.com/store/* all with regular price over $20.Stay tuned,Captain Sim News
  6. The mail out for the current sale states that it excludes flight 1 titles. Not new as the previous sale stated the same, (although it is a bit shady stating no fine print and then tacking some on ;)) The 10 off Tuesday mail outs I have include no such constraint. They likely should honor your discount and clean up their advertising. jim From the mailer.... ‘.....On Now! Runs Right Through Until 9 am Wednesday 8 July USA Eastern Time No Coupon Codes Needed. No Fine Print. Your Discount Is Automatically Applied When You Add To Cart. Discount shows in your order subtotal. Excludes Flight 1 Titles‘
  7. Yup, was hoping for an across the board sale to pickup some of the Alaska airports as well. Maybe Black Friday or Christmas ... not so far off... jim
  8. Only fuss with DVDs, (or anything) being sent into Canada is the risk of duty and brokerage fees. FSS indicates they use the postal service, and under $25 is duty free into Canada - but if the same package was sent by UPS/FedEx/DHL - they automatically charge a minimum brokerage fee and duty on everything - a $15 purchase can be slapped with an additional $30 or $40 of fees ontop. Had it recently happen with a single DVD purchase and UPS. As long as it is mail - it's low risk - but anything else is a gamble.
  9. Can't quite bring myself to send to a fake address - figure it will come back to me in some way. Did discover that that there is a significant cost bump between 3 and 4 DVD's for international shipping. Had 4 in the shopping cart, to be sent to Canada, and shipping was > $30, was about to walk away, but decided to remove one item, and for 3 DVD's - the shipping was < $15. Just under $10 CDN in total for each airport. Not a bad deal at all. The ordering of the download version of each for $0 works like a charm.
  10. Tom - Thank-you for your contribution to our community - thoughts are with you and your family... Jim
  11. I would vote to have it included. Great product btw! Jim
  12. I would speculate that Aerosoft has an overstock on product in the US that they are trying to reduce - their sales for the last year seem to be only for box editions in the US store. Their stores for other countries seem to offer more sales on downloads. For those of us in Canada, this is bad news as I believe we need to use the US store to avoid EU or other country taxes, but the shipping of boxed products from the US is really prohibitive. This amounts to no sale for Canadians. These are the shipping prices in USD: For deliveries within the United States: 1 item: US $ 3.95 2 items: US $ 5.95 For deliveries to Canada: 1 item: US $ 19.95 2 items: US $ 29.95 So a $23.99 product on sale for 20% off will cost about $40 USD by the time it gets to the door. If the product was actually manufactured in the EU as well, we would also stand the risk of being charged import duty on top of this. Certainly understand that it is still 20% off what the regular price would be - but I would prefer to stick with download products instead of paying such a high cost for shipping. (This may actually reflect their shipping cost + labour as well, but my point is that it almost doubles the price of the average product on sale - so it would only be attractive to those that are dead against ever buying downloads). I use to buy Aerosoft product only from Aerosoft, but in the last year I have been buying from PCAviator when they have sales instead, simply due to these boxed product only sales. One poor chap mentioned this on their forums quite a while ago and got shutdown pretty quick. I really like Aerosoft as a company, believe they contribute very positively to the flightsim community and continue to buy downloads on occasion, but hope they are able to offer more downloads in their US sales again soon. - Jim
  13. I have noticed the same thing - spent a bit of time googling around to see if it was on my end or theirs - found this article where another fellow running a forum had the same issue.... http://peter.upfold.org.uk/blog/2013/01/15/cleaning-up-the-ip-board-url4short-mess/ Looks like aerosoft forums have been compromised...
  14. *this is also posted on the Majestic support site; repeated here to catch all vroute Q400 users Folks - Vroute fuel planning has been updated for the Majestic Q400. This is beta only and is subject to testing and subsequent tweaking as required. To have a new aircraft added to the fuel planning section of vroute, what the developer requires is that a volunteer does a bunch of test flights and collects the required data to calculate in-route/taxi/minimum/etc fuel. I volunteered, and certainly could use assistance/feedback from other Q400/vroute users. I do believe that you need the premium as opposed to the free vroute in order to see the fuel planning section. The data supplied is based on 40639 lbs Dry Operating Weight/Mass, as specified as default in the Q400 Control Panel. In looking at the stats for quite a few Q400's, this value does fluctuate based on the configuration and makeup of the aircraft. There are many fleets that have lighter Dry Operating Weights, but many that are right in this range as well. I believe the developers designed the Q400 with this as a DOM, so it is what has been submitted. If you are a Vroute user, please do try out a few routes and see how accurate the fuel planner is for you. This is only beta and will need feedback from vroute users to confirm whether it is close to being accurate. You can leave your feedback here if you believe the values need to be tweaked, or of course directly on the vroute forum. Should state again that I am just a volunteer tester and Q400/vroute user, and not the developer, but can incorporate any opinions/experience/corrections of your fuel planning into the test results for submission. Jim PS: If you are not a vroute user, but want to check it out... http://www.vroute.net
  15. No improvements over the previous version for AirHauler. Your only option to get engine start to be recognized is to do a <CTL><E> on startup once you set the props to max (Ctl-E will force them to max, which is a challenge during flight!). You will need to repeat the CTL-E just before landing to have that register as it seems to stop sending whatever data AirHauler needs during the flight. Registering the vertical speed on landing works fine since the last update. Great plane - but AirHauler users will share many of the same deficiencies as some VA ACARS. It's workable though.
