  1. Try deleting the ILS already there , let it diplayed PARKED, then try your new valid ILS frequency.

To delete, click on the NAV/RAD page, then click DELETE on the FMS, then click the ILS key ( L4 ? ) it will then display PARKED.

Now enter in the ILS / CRS

  2. I have a Logitech G35 Headset and a TV on my left approx 1.5ft away and a Fan on my right running at full speed during the day and I must say, I rarely have any problems considering the amount of background noise going on around me ..

The only time I get the FO saying "Are you sure about that ?" is when my darling wife is yelling extremities at me .. :LMAO:

  3. Just to Clarify the findings on my system after a quick test (I don't usually call the FA, nor do I normally use external speakers.)1. Use the FA to call the Flight Attendant.2. "Hello" sound comes from main speakers.3. Speak "One Coffee Please" through mic.4. FA say "You Bet, I'll be up in just a minute" - sound comes from main speakers.5. There's a knock on the Door and the FA Enters, "Here you go Guys" - sound comes from headset.6. Speak "Thank You" though mic7. FA Says "Sure Anytime" sound comes from main speakers. My initial though was that it may of been a geographical issue being the FA is down the back of the plane and should come through the main speakers, then when he enters the cockpit that he would come through the headset. All that works fine right up until the very last saying "Sure Anytime" where he is still inside the cockpit but he's voice is heard like its on the Intercom at the back of the plane.I hope this helps.Cheers

  4. Hello Bryan,Excellent product !Lately I have been practicing External Power / Air Starts etc.I was hoping to request (at a minor priority) if we could see an option on the Briefing Panel to allow us to select the intended Power Source at the Arrival Airport. If we require the Air Cart and GPU because the APU is not allowed on the ground, then we could select it whilst in the Briefing Panel instead of re-opening the Config panel for the same reason. From the manualUsing the GPU and External Air at the ARRIVAL Gate:

Many airports do not want you use to the APU. In those cases, you need to connect the GPU at the arrival gate.To do that, please do the following:
    1. Prior to landing, select EXT in the PWR/AIR SRC box as shown in the figure below, and choose the air source to be used: Air Start Cart (AS) or Air Conditioning (AC). ...........................

This would be great if it was achievable via the Briefing page as well since we are already there .Is this a feasible idea ?If its too much hard work, then not to worry, am happy with the way it is :)Thanks again for such an outstanding product !CheersAdam

  5. Hello fellow FS2Crew user's.I have been using voice edition since its release and have probably done over 50 successful flight without any major problems what so ever. But this morning I was sitting at a stand at EGLL for EDDH when I got a call from a friend to join a flight from YSSY to YBBN in which I did.At EGLL I had FS2Crew up to the "Before Start Procedure" before ending the flight back to the home screen then selecting the same aircraft for a stand at YSSY.I then started FS2Crew at the new stand in YSSY and although it started ok and when though the pre-flight, I soon started having the issues of checklists and not configured yet etc etc.I could not contact the Ground Crew with these errors even after trying everything normally. So to sum things up, maybe a lot of people have done what I just did and that is change the status of FSX whilst FS2Crew is still running which in return must cause some issues.Like I say, this is the first time this has happened and the first time I have had to cancel my intentions and restart at a new departure airfield without completely shutting down FS.I thought I might mention it here in case it is happening to others and it could be an easy fix.Cheers

  6. Voice control all the way for me.But its easy for me to say as English is my only language and the Voice Recognition picks me up no worries.I do wish though, my FO and flight attendants could understand some of us Australian Language, such as ... "She'll be right m8" , "Bloody Hell", "Throw us a tinnie" , "Shrimps on the B.B.Q" and "Fair Dinkum" ! :LMAO:Top Notch Product, backed with Top Notch Service !!Keep up the great work!

  7. I think that may be because the FO sits on your Right side so the majority of sound will come through your right speaker / headphone. The Cabin crew are probably heard in in both ears but I would assume that when the flight deck door is closed you wouldn't hear them anyways. (but you can using the volume)I'm sure Bryan will inform us either way shortly.

  8. If you have certain key assignments assigned to certain things like I do then you may find that the MKR Audio Ident is being turned on accidentally.I run EzyDok and use my G13 to switch between 20+ views which all take a separate key assignment, and FS uses a lot of SHIFT+CTRL+XX for their Audio panel so I have to go in and unassign a lot of those settings within FS.Maybe this helps, maybe not, just my experience.Cheers

  9. I use TOPCAT on all my flights and find it pretty accurate when comparing the data from it and the end result in the FMC.I find that you can set up the W & B in TOPCAT Manaully but I tend to skip that part as I don't read nor write to the aircraft's .cfgSo you load your fuel and payload in the FMC and it goives you your gross weight,I then go to the Take-Off page in TOPCAT and enter my GW wieght into the Take-Off Weight box e.g if my GW is 68.8 I would put 68800 in the box.I then put in the Departure ICAO into the Airport box and update the weather via Active Sky and TOPCAT will give the RWY and winds / QNH etc etc.I then set Optimum for both FLAP and THRUST,I use Air Conditioning ON and Anti-Ice OFF on most of my Australia flights but this varies in other areas. Then hit the compute button. Here is my Assumed Temperature and Reduced Thrust setting for the flight I'm doing at as I type.TAKE-OFF YPPD/PHE RWY 14 TORA 8202FT PMDG NGX BOEING 737-800 CFM56-7B26PORT HEDLAND TEMP +25C QNH 999 WIND 110/22 (19KT HW)------------------ CONDITIONS ------------------- ** FLAPS 1 ** TO2 ** DRY ** ** AIR COND ON ** ANTI ICE OFF ** ASSUMED TAKE-OFF WEIGHT 60807 KG ------------------ FULL THRUST ------------------- +25C 71116 FIELD 139-140 140 148 2340FT 93.3%---------------- REDUCED THRUST ----------------- +42C 63412 CLIMB 142 142 147 974FT 90.8% +43C 62808 CLIMB 142-143 143 147 864FT 90.7% +44C 62211 CLIMB 142-143 143 146 743FT 90.5% +45C 61616 CLIMB 142-143 143 146 620FT 90.4%//+46C 61021 CLIMB 142 143 146 494FT 90.2% +47C NOT AUTH +48C NOT AUTH***************************************************DO NOT EXCEED MAX STRUCT TAKE-OFF WGHT OF 78471 KG***************************************************As you can see I have taken off using FLAPS 1 and TO2 with an assumed temperature of 46 degrees which gave me a 90.2% thrust rating. When I select TO2 and enter 46 degrees into the FMC it says the thrust will be set at 90.4% so its pretty close for me :)If you set up TOPCAT like in the Tut #2 and follow the above you should be on the right track.Good luck.
