  2. WR269 received reputation from Rob Ainscough in FF A320 Ultimate is now available!
The FF developer advised against direct comparisons as the two products simulated different series of MCDU and other items, so the FSL Airbus documentation should be good to go but be mindful of the differences in operation.
I recall seeing a video of the two products side by side as the FSL model has been the benchmark for many simmers....to be honest they both look great...I noticed setting take off trim is the one major difference in functionality...it has caught me out many times in the FF.

This is great news, a wonderful product for FSX, was hoping to see it also in P3D. One of the most iconic and well represented aircraft in Flight Simulator.

After the dissolvement of Icarus Simulations and the shut down of the site, the P.180 Avanti was not available. Now it back! You can get it from here:
    http://forums.x-pilot.com/files/file/1081-p180-avanti-ii/
This is the initial version. A new 2.1.0 version is under development, and will be available very soon, probably before the end of the year.
    Stay tuned for updates.

I purchased it and think it is excellent. Performance is very good and it looks better than the P3D version to me. Definitely worth it. And concerning the landmarks: Why should they include them? There is excellent freeware available for this.
  13. WR269 gave reputation to FS++ in Still can't get MCE to work (2)
By "disguise", I was referring to support[at]multicrewxp.com which you wrote as a full e-mail address. Not a good practice in forums. So wanted you to simply edit your post (remove the "@" sign).
As for registration, it's really as simple as attaching "Registration.txt" and sending it to any of the 2 e-mail addresses.
And if you don't know how to attach a file you could equally copy the content of "Registration.txt" and paste it to your e-mail.
The issue right now is that your e-mail didn't reach us, so how are we supposed to send you the activation key?
    Please re-send. Thank you
And please let me know when you have sent your e-mail, along with your initials, as I don't want you to print your full name here

The AV-8B project was born in the early 1970's as an effort to address the operational inadequacies of the AV-8A first generation Harrier, aimed to dramatically improve the capabilities and performance of the early AV-8A's. The AV-8B made its maiden flight in November 1981 and entered service with the United States Marine Corps in January 1985. It later evolved into the AV-8B N/A (Night Attack) and AV-8B Harrier II Plus.
First flight of a modified AV-8B in the night attack configuration was on June 26th, 1987. Deliveries to the USMC began in September of 1989 to VMA-214 at Yuma, Arizona. Follow-up units based out of Yuma received their Night Attack AV-8Bs by the end of 1992.The AV-8B N/A variant (originally known as the AV-8D) had its first operational development in 1984 and included use of the NAVFLIR (Navigation Forward-Looking Infrared camera, consisting of a GEC-Marconi FLIR system mounted in the nose) for night operations. Additionally, GEC Cat's Eyes night vision goggles were provided to the pilot as well as a revised cockpit with color MFDs, a wider field-of-view HUD display, a color CRT digital moving map, and a complete "heads-down" operation capability. The AV-8B N/A also sports four Tracor ALE-39 countermeasures dispensers along the top of the rear fuselage, in addition to two ALE-39 dispensers along the lower rear of the fuselage. The AV-8B N/A also fields an updated version of the Rolls-Royce Pegasus 11-61 (F402-RR-408) vectored-thrust turbofan engine.
The subject of this study level simulation is the AV-8B N/A Bu No's 163853 and up which are the latest variant of this very capable AV-8B version.

  21. WR269 gave reputation to JYW in STUNNING! - The Just Flight Arrow III for XP11
Picked up the newly released Just Flight PA28R Arrow III for X-Plane 11 tonight.    I now own this aircraft for 3 different platforms.  And I can tell you, the XP11 version just bats it out of the park !!    It is as stunning to fly as it is visually.  Dan Klaue did an amazing job converting this a/c to XP11.
Quite possibly the most immersive flying experience I've had in any sim.
I'm only running a GTX770 4GB but with XP11.10b4's apparant performance upgrade, I've been able to increase settings and on this flight was getting a solid and stable 40+FPS.

Click on each pic to see them in their full glory. (untouched pics and no visual/lighting mods).

  23. WR269 gave reputation to Janov in X-Plane 11.10 Beta
There are several long standing issues in X-Plane - and I think the devs are very open and communicative about them.
I think its fair to ask of the user to inform himself through the publicly availabe channels before passing judgement on the ability of a dev team (like reading a change log).
I think an appropriate post to vent someone´s frustration about his favourite pet-peeve issue not getting fixed would be along the lines of:
"I see the long list of fixes in beta 11.xxx, but I am disappointed that they didn´t fix..." or
"It really frustrates me that they didn´t fix...".
Everyone is entitled to have an opinion and also to voice his frustration, but I took offence at the tone of the above post, claiming (in a thinly veiled rethorical question) that the team has been doing nothing but making matters worse - suggesting not only ineptitude but also bad intention.
Yes, we have "freedom of speech" and "...entitled to opinon..." but I think this has limits where someone else is attacked personally. I apologize for hinting at a possibly less than immaculate personality trait in the original poster, I should not have done that, even though I took offence at what he wrote.

  24. WR269 gave reputation to Airfighter in How does Xplane go from 11 to 11.10 ?
    Keep in mind this:
    http://developer.x-plane.com/2017/10/beta-testing-101/
Since you are new in X-Plane 11, and probably in X-Plane in general, better hold off going to 11.10 beta, at least for a few weeks, until things get general stable. It is a major update and things won't be smooth at the start.
