    Hi Gents,

    I have tried everything under the sun to make this work but all with the same result.
    Update window appears, Updates start, Update windows closes.
    This happens at different stages of updating.
    I had it drop out at update 3 0f 65,  20 of 65 ,  31 of 65  and so on and on.
    Please do not blame me for feeling utterly frustrated at this time.
    Over the last 24 hours I must have tried 20 times.
    I even completely uninstalled A/V , disabled Firewall, followed instructions as per Robert, Used direct line
    through my ADSL by removing Phone and Filter, Complete fresh install of the 747 v2....
    I have tried everything but the download window just drops out.

    PMDG staff,  Can you please Update the aircraft pack itself so at least I can download that the normal way?

    Dear PMDG staff,

     

    Now that we are have been spoiled with the new 747-400 sound pack is there

    any chance of doing the same with the 737 and 777 ?

    I very much love the engine fade-out effect when it climbs passed FL140 .

    Would love to see that in the other products as well.

    Gents,

     

    I recently bought a throttle quadrant for the PMDG 737.

    It's non motorized but has all functionality.

    I have little to no experience using FSUIPC but will go through some tutorials over the weekend.

     

    I should have no problems setting up the throttle, flaps, speed brakes, parking brakes.

    However I could really use some advise on the reversers (axis control, not switch) and fuel cut off switches as I

    am not sure where to bind them to within FSUIPC.

     

    Any help welcome

    Hi Gents,

     

    I had another go at it setting up a basic flight plan.

    When the time came to select rwy and star the FMC page showed neither rwy's or stars and

    was followed by the message WMKK ERR: 15 RWY N/A  along the bottom of the page.

     

    Any ideas welcome

    Gents,

     

    Sorry but have a odd problem with NAVDATA.

    Parked at WSSS for a flight to WMKK.

    No STARS or SIDS are displayed in the FMC of the 777 for WMKK (Kuala Lumpur INTL) 

    Then I set up the very same with the 737 and have no issues at all. (All STARS and SIDS displayed)

    All on very clean and new install.

    Installed 777 first then decided to install 737 as well.

    Must be something to do with where NAVDATA is located?

     

    Any Advise welcome,

    Hello Rob,

     

    It makes no difference, taxi way, runway, apron area.

    My Lighting settings are as follows

    Shadow quality - medium

    Enable terrain to receive shadows (ticked)

    No - Terrain shadow cast

    No - Cloud Shadow cast

    Object shadow cast 6000m

     

    Internal Vehicle   Cast   Receive

    External Vehicle  Cast  Receive

     

    and the rest un ticked.

     

    Tried every possible selection without luck.

    I remember encountering same issue with Milviz 737

    Hello Gents,

     

    Just a quick one.

    When using my beloved PMDG 737 in P3D I am getting odd shadow cast of the aircraft on the ground from the VC.

    (Only showing bits of the plane) The other view points are not effected.

    Did do a search and believe it could be a P3D rendering issue.

    Anyway, If someone has some tricks or tips it will be appreciated.

     

    Have a complete clean install and not using Nvidia Inspector at this time.

     

    To all the PMDG staff I very much appreciate your wonderful products.

    Hi Carl,

     

    Thank you for the response.

     

    I have the i7 4970 (not sure what name it goes by) and paired up two GTX 780 Ti's

    Also use 16 gig of high speed corsair vengeance memory on a Asus Rampage V Extreme MB.

     

    I have minimized any tweaking.

    Dropped back the settings in NVidia inspector with the exception of Antialiasing-transparency Supersampling which is AA_MODE_REPLAY_SGSSAA_8X (can.t stand jaggies)

     

    I youtubed P3d tweaks and came across what for me is a miracle tweak.

    They mentioned to add the following line in to the p3d.cfg [Main] directory

     

    FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.01

     

    I selected an aircraft that previously gave me 29~33 FPS and without changing any settings (except to insert the above mentioned line) It now sits on 43~47 FPS.

    So this will hopefully also take care of PMDG's 777.

    I flew into Brunei INTL Airport (WBSB) whilst using ASN and here also the weather was pretty nasty.

    Could that contribute ? Other then using ORBX Global and Global Vector I have a complete clean install with any other airport sceneries or other aircraft.

    Hi,

    Yep it caught me out as well. Established passing the localizer capturing ILS and all of a sudden find my air speed dropping very quickly so disconnected auto throttle and auto pilot and did a manual landing. Saved the passengers ^_^.

    Had speed set 161 KTS and then out of the blue she dropped like a brick.

    Hi there,

    I for one am looking forward to flying the 777 in P3D.... I do however have a concern with this product and that is performance.  I have noticed that some "other" complex aircraft in P3D take a real frame rate hit.

    More so then in FSX.  Do not get me wrong, I am not after sky high FPS but to have it hover between 15 to 20 in P3d

    will make for a poor flying experience whichever way you slice to cake.

    Currently (with SP1c) installed in FSX I sit around 35 FPS give or take 5 frames. ... And because it doesn't fluctuate wildly I am experiencing very smooth flights with the 777

     

    My question to you Robert is how this product performs in P3D ? (keeping in mind that I'll be happy with anything mid 20's)

    Hey Noble.....It goes without saying that I use the NGX although I still get lock up/freeze with her.....

    She flies great and never check the stupid frame rate counter...If the PMDG 777 is close to the NGX I will be more then happy.

    Hi Gents,

     

    I can not wait for this amazing aircraft to arrive on my hard drive.

    Just one question from me

    I am definitely not concerned about silly frame rates.

    With every new plane I purchase I do however check the fluctuation of the frame rate counter

    because that gives me a fairly good indication on how smooth the flight experience will be.

     

    With this in mind just how smooth is the PMDG 777 experience ?
