I bought my ASN today, Just 2 little questions:

1) I use upgrade option of ASN during installation , now my ASN activated. Should I keep still my ASE and AS2012 for keep ASN active or for future checking or ....? Or I can uninstall them? (no need to AS2012 textures)

2) I will buy P3D soon but I will not install on my current OS. My machine is dual boot and I will install P3D v2 on my other OS. Can I install ASN under my current license on my second OS? Or I have to purchase another license!? :unsure:

It’s clear if ASN checks hardware specification , the results will be the same for both installations. According the Legal and End User License Agreement I will use it one PC.

Could you please advise me about these question?(I have GEX for US/CA , Europe and Middle east + UTX for those)

1)Unfortunately I didn't backup from FSX default textures so is it OK that I just install FTX Global over current Textures?

2)I read here some problems between UTX lights and FTX Global. So if I turn off UTX Lights(night) option on UTX option, It will temporary solve the problem?

I think it's better PMDG leave Airbus for other developers (FSLAB ,....) , having good relation with Boeing makes nice opportunity for PMDG and simmers to experience as real as it gets with excellent products. So I think 787 will be best choice. Also I hope PMDG change 747v2 project to 747-8! :wub:

I use Corei7 2600K@4.5Ghz with 8Gb RAM on 580GTX over dual screens.My fsx.cfg is tweaked via ******* tweaks and also latest Vsync ½ refresh rate advices.

Result is acceptable , Most of “must have add-ons” are installed, GEX,UTX,AS2012,… some sceneries from FSDT and Aerosoft and some great aircrafts by PMDG ,Level-D.

I already bought FSCaptain, FS flight keeper and Aivlasoft EFB but not always use them ,I am worry about CPU/Resource consumption by these 3 great utilities. For example I use Aivlasoft EFB just for Flight Planning and dispatching! Then exit and load FSX.

Any idea about effect of them on FSX? Resource usage? Effect on smoothness and frame rate?

I cannot recognize for example how many frame rates during approach on PMDG-NGX VC over KJFK (nighttime , heavy weather) may I lose because of them?

I am AS2012 user and it is downloading related DATA via my USB network adaptor (my first Wireless network adaptor that connected to my WIFI modem).

Today I decided to enable my second Wireless network to config it between my PC and laptop for using EFB(Aivlasoft).

Both connections are OK and my EFB providing data feeds via my second adaptor. Also my first adaptor (Wireless network connection)still is working for my internet connection. But AS2012 in this situation lost his internet connection! till I disconnect my second adaptor(Wireless network connection 2).

Voted "No" , I prefer the PMDG nice developers full time focus to upcoming 777 and 747 v2 :give_rose: , after them I think many info. will be ready for 787 so they can .... :Praying:

I am not so expert on OC , but I overclocked my 2700K/Asus Z77 to 4.5Ghz with Vcore 1.28 , 30min Prime95 test passed and Temp was around 62C(full load). All of other voltages are in "AUTO". I think with your excellent cooler You can push to 4.8-5Ghz with ~70C. Did turn off HT? no benefit in FSX and will let you to use lower Vcore.

Sorry but I am confused now between Tweaks (NickN , Ryan-******* , Word Not Allowed,...), I am on 2600K@4.5Ghz /580GTX with Win7 64 and Nvidia latest 301.42 driver.

Dear Ryan or other professional simmers , Could you please advice me:

1)BP=0 or RejectThreshold=131072

2)Shader 3.0 or not ?

3)What about Vsync? (I have 2 monitors and always on window mode and both are running on 60Hz)

4)External limiter (via inspector) or internal?

AS12 is the choice if you want textures that are weather sensitive - the installed size on disk is 4.7Gbytes. There is no option to install a partial texture library. I have seen no impact on performance on my system and you can adjust performance (memory footprint) to some extent by choosing the size of the textures to be installed - sizes range from 256x256 to 4096x4096 depending on what texture is involved and can be DXT or 32bits. I test on an i7 920 @ 3.2GHz, nVidia 260GTX card, 6 GBytes of Corsair RAM system. I'm one of the Beta testers and quite like the program - I've used all of the HiFi programs and this is, overall, the best yet. DJ

In my case (Corei7-930 @3.9) and 580GTX it is better than FPS Limiter 0.2 because stutters 70% gone.I have 2 screen and normally I use FSX in window mode on my 22" screen. (FSX tweaked by ******* recommends)Thanks *******.Regards

I've been considering an upgrade from 285 to 580.But that 14 to only 17 seems way too underwhelming, considering the cost of the card, the increased noise, and the fact that FS11 is (hopefully) not too far off.What are the other components in your system, B748?

Bob, with the newer cards (480/580) using bufferpools *IS* beneficial because of the increased video memory speed /GPU raw power. Remove the PoolSize=0 line completely and test again, you'll see that the FPS drops are less drastic. Leave onle RejectThreshold=131072 in the [bufferPools]section.
