  1. I had this issue. The main issue that was driving me nuts was DX12 bug where after a short stutter I would see that the tiles would start bleeding through airports. After the .14 beta update, I haven;t seen the issue. I have however made it a note to delete my DirectX Shader cache every time theres is an update, and also when it's been several weeks since I have deleted. Hopefully some of you can try this and see if it helps.
  2. Very interesting! Thanks for sharing. It would be nice to have some of that technology in a flight sim.
  3. Did Mathis write this? i understand that it wasn’t compatible and that the code was needed to be written. But you’re really telling me that they couldn’t simply have the performance calculations downloaded via payload data? Let’s use the Fenix as an example. It simply reads the payload data, or you manually input the weight and cg. Then you manually copy over your VSpeeds. But at least at that point we would have had an EFB with Simbrief and other functions. Which then could have let them continue developing a sync or simply wait for what eventually happened for additional functionality What’s frustrating of this situation is that we are standing where we are because someone wants to have it be from the beginning 100% perfect. So instead we get nothing. There had to be compromise at some point before everyone just keeps getting frustrated with pointless updates that lead us nowhere. Honestly. I feel like I just watched an episode from Netflix for a mystery show where they “showed what really is happening” and then we climax with and we still don’t know what is happening “
  4. The only *fresh* news we got in that update is that RSR went to Aspen. Good for him. Now let’s be real. This update told us that he is further delaying because the of their huffing and puffing over an initial inability to use Jscript for the creation of the tablet( like everyone else did) they basically invested hundreds if not thousands of hours on something that no longer is needed. Now we are back to testing, yet again. 2 weeks ago it was “we’re really really close!” Now it’s now we are close because we are testing again with out the unnecessary code. I’ve got to tell you. RSR should have been in government because he keeps promising like he’s in the senate. Must be that Maryland air. He’s too close to the capitol. I remember when I lived around there. Even I was full of word not allowed.
  5. This is what I told my wife to put in my Christmas list. https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824281222?Item=N82E16824281222
  6. Voted. Great work Biology. To the guy that’s fighting the donation. It’s a donation my friend. It’s like me giving donation to a shelter to feed animals that also unfortunately has to euthanize animals. It’s a donation. Once I give that money I’m not getting anything back regardless of what they decided to do with the funds.
  7. It still happens to me. As soon as I start FSLTL I see the load causes it to appear. Or of I pan the view it will occur. It happens during high loads to the sim is the pattern I’ve noticed.
  8. So does this mean KDFW and terrain bleed through is fixed?
  9. Be honest. Neo and Morpheus are behind you loaded up into the matrix. Aren’t they?
  10. You turned on HGAS? I thought this was a no-no with MSFS and performance.
  11. I appreciate all the feedback. Two things. This is on an iPhone, 2nd the reason you may not be able to see what I get redirected on is simply because the URL changes eachtime a new session is started. How to Remove “Congratulations you won” Pop-Up Ads| Cybernews This guide explains a version of what I am encountering when I visit AVSIM and ONLY Avsim. I will attempt to clear all my browsing data. This however has been happening for a extended period, with three different devices. I have already attempted turning off pop-ups on the seetings for safari. This has had no effect on the problem. Everyone here is correct, right now, as I have a Moscow Mule at an airport bar in Philly, I am not getting the issue on my Surface tablet. If I try to open the same page we are all seeing on my iPhone, or my business phone I get the redirect, clicking the back button just persitently brings me back to one of the "You won an award, or get a cheap galaxy phone / tablet sites that's clearly a spam webpage.
  12. Two points I have already acknowledged. The reality I am facing is that no ad blocker will stop the redirects. The ad blockers work to “blank” out the ads on the page. But the redirects still occur. I also am perplexed by this logic. How does Avsim benefit from an ad that prevents me from enjoying the site? How does this work when of using an ad blocker the user will not be viewing the ads that generate revenue? Supposedly no one gets paid when an ad blocker is used. So, in another example, any time I do to a newspaper website they are begging that I turn my ad blocker off so that they can enjoy the revenue from my time reading an article with ads I will be exposed to. Has Avsim figured out a way to still get paid regardless of using an ad blocker or not? I am not suggesting that ads go away. I will happily donate if I can enjoy the site on any device. The reality is this when I try to use my phone to browse the forum 97% of the time I get redirected without warning to the site listed above. This is unstoppable regardless of what I do. Why would I donate when I can't find or even enjoy the site while waiting for my next flight on my phone? At some point, I hope it is realized that this is feedback from a loyal “customer base” if you will. It's concerning for me to see that the answers remain the same and that it appears to one wants to place themselves in my shoes to experience my reality while enjoying your product.
  13. Greetings, Avsim staff. There is a constant issue in your platform that in my 18 years using Avsim it has never been this annoying. It’s now cumbersome and takes away from what used to be a pleasant experience. The issue? Even if I’m using Safari, Chrome, Opera or Mozilla Firefox on my iPhone I will randomly get repeatedly redirected to this website. http://bbd383ttka22.top/prize/luckyus-ad/lppay.php?c=66zl9oaoz5fz0&k=7f9c798a9c07afe97c66c338fd563b95&country_code=US&country_name=United States&region=New Jersey&city=Mount Laurel&isp=Comcast Cable Communications, LLC&lang=en&ref_domain=&os=iOS&osv=16&browser=Chrome&browserv=114&brand=Apple&model=iPhone&marketing_name=iPhone&tablet=2&rheight=0&rwidth=0&e=5 Pressing the back button will constantly just redirect me back into the same page. Using as blocker DOES NOT solve the problem. I am all for monetizing the platform to cover cost, etc. However, are we perhaps overlocking something when placing these ads? With my busy life I don’t always have time to open up a desktop. It’s at the point that after my tens of thousands of hours invested in this platform, I am nearly at my limit of patience as all I am going to do when I visit your platform is get redirected to a spam Google site. Please take this constructive criticism in your next meeting among the board members. When the most popular device in the planet that sever of your future and current viewers have access navigating to the site because of ads, we got a problem. Have a good day! -Al
  14. Hmmm bug discovered. I’ll report it on the official forums. Thank you!
  15. Would someone do an experiment for me? I am just realizing that turning this off will cause my screen to flash white occasssionally. I am trying to determine the cause of this, for me as soon as I set it back to 100 it cures the white flashing.
  16. So, can I use my microphone to talk to the controller or is a button controlled system?
  17. Looks like to me that your monitor refresh rate is now not being matched by your frame rate. It makes sense that it happens when your turn in FSLTL as this will decrease your over all FPS. This effect happens to me when I am using G-SYNC or Free Sync on my monitor. To solve it you must have in your settings VSYNC entables jn MSFS. It has to be locked to a fraction of your GSYNC rating that can be maintained. For example, my refresh rate on my monitor and NVIDIA setting is 120 HZ. So I lock my MSFS VSYNC to 33% refresh rate. That locks my FPS to 34 FPS. This can be maintained with out problem by my settings and the flickering is gone. If I did anything higher than 33% then the flickering would return. This is because I am selecting a FPS target for the simulator that cannot be constantly, so GSYNC is missing frames to create a smooth rendering. I hope this helps.
