  1. Burning Blue Design did not form from Sim720. Sim720 sort of morphed into Turbulent Designs who no longer exist. Apart from distributing through Orbx, BBD never had any connection to Orbx though are clearly are inspired by the small UK strips done in the past by Orbx.
  2. Fly2High are a conundrum, I have questioned their tactic of being exclusive at different resellers for their releases. Perhaps they have an attractive offer to be that "exclusive" in that first week or so of release. But splittng up their (growing) customer base to get the new product seems counterintuitive. Unfortunately they do come across as the cash for grab cohort to me.
  3. Even though the content is purchased through the in-game Marketplace, those sales are attribued to Steam as they are the reseller of the DLC.
  4. I’m surprised Orbx still has LIEO v1 for sale in the MS Marketplace, it really should have been pulled from sale when v2 was announced at least.
  5. They moved that reveal to FSExpo https://fselite.net/content/pmdg-attending-fsweekend-possibly-announcing-new-secret-project/
  6. An interesting question and from the scenery perspective the influx of many new names was from what I believe the ease of getting your scenery into the sim, both from a creative process as well commercially via the resellers. With the release of MSFS we were presented with a very user friendly SDK (relatively speaking compared to others) that allowed easy object placement, creation of taxiway/aprons etc. It was all the familiar ESP tools like Instant Scenery/ADE/SBX all rolled into one. What I found from my experience is that these lesser known airport scenery developer names came with an interest in flightsim having dabbled around with development and some from working mainly in XPlane. So now presented with a platform with fairly low barriers to entry and a massive uptake in users (and revenue) no wonder we saw a big influx of new scenery devs. Unfortunately, this has resulted in some dubious practices by some that have exploited the situation. And some have withered away realising that the effort was not really worth the reward.
  7. Pyreegue’s Belfast for me. I also like what iniBuilds did with Leeds Bradford as well.
  8. From the YMML FAQ which is on the Orbx site. I'm guessing you are at D6 perhaps. Do the other jetways work? Q: The jetways at gates C7, C9, C12 and D6 won’t dock to my aircraft! A: These are T-type jetways and for now they are static and won’t dock to your aircraft. We are not aware of anyone who has ever managed to animate them properly with all necessary animations (extending, going up and down, tunnel following up-down movement…) with one exception: ORBX’s ESGG airport. We are currently working on implementing the same treatment for YMML and will provide an update as soon as this has been achieved – making YMML one of the first and only sceneries to fully support T-type jetways.
  9. Very curious to hear that FSLTL has the smarts to inject Ai to the correct gate, first I have heard of this capability. Pretty sure AI still gets assigned by radius of the parking spot, but happy to stand corrected. To add futher about the devs having correct AFCADs with gate assignments, the problem is that how to do this is not documented in the SDK. The only way is a time consuming maunal edit of the project XML. Or using an ADE export from a P3D project. Add to that the additional research required to figure out who parks where, someting only a local or regular simmer to the airport would be looking out for. Regardless, adding these gate assignments is worth the effort overall, just highlighting the complexity behind it.
  10. Rob has done an amazing job, its great to see him go strength to strength with each release.
  11. We had our official channels to make comments on etc. and now that burden is lifted. And thank you.
  12. Great to see the much deserved shoutout for Lars. I’ve always admired Contrail from afar and had the pleasure of meeting him in person at FSExpo after many years of first meeting him whilst working for Orbx. It’s great to see more larger developers use Contrail as I do know that he provides great a service to the vendors and customers alike.
