New user here with the "same" question. I created a group called North America and added all my NA airports there. When I see the group screen I click on the plus sign and click off so it's not selected. I hit save and then load up P3D V4 and start at a North American airport that should be disabled but it's not disabled. I was doing this to not load sceneries when I am not flying in that area. I thought this would help P3D V4 run smoother. I think I am missing a step here or I don't quite understand the mechanics. I read the manual which is how I got here but I didn't see too much relating to my problem. I would appreciate any help, thank you.

Just noticed a sale on this add on and I was curious. What kind of experiences do you all have with this addon? Does it work with P3D V4 and is it heavy on frames. I have been using all the orbx stuff so I would like to see if this is "better". What do you like or dislike about it? Thank you

Could you explain disabling the in sync model option again?. I am using environment force and I would like to take full advantage of this program so I am curious about that setting in skyforce. Is it called in sync model or something else? thank you

Do we know if this has been already started or is it fresh from the start. I am asking because technobrain's rjtt is only on sale for another day and if the drzwiecki version is far into the design then I may wait for that version. But if we are talking years to completion then I will buy the technobrain version now. I will buy the drzwiecki version on day one but I can enjoy rjtt for years before the new version. Thank you

I am in the same boat as you. It's been this way for FAOR, ZBAA, and LEBL too and it's getting to be a reoccurring thing now. I think that the FSDT version looks better at first glance but will it be a huge file and will they include KMDW too? Also, how long for FSDT version to be released? Then how much will it cost? I could afford to buy another airport if I wait to buy only one KORD. These are the unanswered questions that stop me from buying anything. I really want a more current airport but I don't want to rush to buy one version and then be sad when a better version comes along. So I wait to hear any news.

I own active sky, asca, envtex, skyforce and environment force but I think I only need to use skyforce and environment force. It seems with all the tweaking that you can do with environment force that you don't need all those other programs. With environment force you can change the lighting of the sky so no envtex needed, change the clouds so no asca needed or texture direct needed, and you can change the weather so no active sky needed. It seems to me that environment force can handle all of these variations by tweaking the appearance. This is most evident in the water because just by changing lighting, waves, and height you achieve about 20 different "textures". I may be wrong but I think I stumbled upon something.

is there a link to the twitch stream talking about the automatic mode? wherever I search, I only get the latest stream that talks about manual mode. I can't find the other stream anywhere.

Not sure if I am getting everything I want. I have done a few flights using environment force and skyforce but I don't see a difference in what I had before using active sky. The clouds still "change" when flying but I don't see the groundbreaking technology for building skies unless I am doing something wrong. Has anyone else seen the difference? I don't use PTA or shaders and don't have any idea what they do. I just have a basic setup, but I think that the weather injection has improved in skyforce because I didn't see the cloud popping from before. Thanks

Does this mean that I can uninstall skyforce and active sky?. Has the weather injection improved with skyforce? I would like to get some space back on my computer.

So I have discovered something that could possibly explain some the problems at this airport. I noticed that if I check the SODE option in the config program then the terminals are all missing and only jetways are shown. I have moving jetways but nothing else. If I uncheck the SODE option then all the terminals are back but I don't have moving jetways. So for some reason I can't have both and I don't have any service vehicles at WSSS no matter what option I choose. It doesn't solve all the problems but it may help with the invisible terminal problem. Hope it helps.

Where does this go exactly? Is this for the animations. I can't get my animations to work and when I click the animations menu everything crashes every single time.

Yep, I am having the same problems. Either I have a CTD or if it does load then I don't see any terminals but I can see the big round dome. also the taxiway over the highway is floating. I did not have those problems with the earlier versions but now I do. I also can't get the animations to work right. First of, I don't see many vehicles just some here and there. I have the setting on 5 which is the highest. I also get a CTD whenever I try to access the animations window. Very frustrating.

They just released an update that includes moving vehicle technology, downtown buildings and other things. It's a great scenery but quite frankly, I don't get all the hype about the advanced vehicle technology or I didn't install it right. When I load the scenery there are a few baggage carts, buses, one guy standing the gate and that's about it. The baggage carts don't even pull up to the plane and there no new service vehicles that I can see. I have the animation density at it's highest but don't see much. It was a free update and upgrade so that's always good. Maybe they will add more vehicles later. It's a good time to buy it because it keeps getting better with each update and the advanced animation is not a deal breaker.

Yes, I had to delete that file completely and now Mumbai seems to be good. The only thing is that I don't have the apartments around VABB that comes with the scenery but I can live with it. Do you have the apartment buildings? Thanks

May I ask you how you installed Mumbai? I thought if I could delete it and reinstall it then It would somehow fix the elevation problem. But of course after I un-installed it I couldn't remember how I installed it the first time. In the install options, there is a P3D4 option, so I am confused if I install it that way or make a folder in P3D4 and then download it to that file then use add scenery in P3D4. By the way the other airports I bought (Macau and Kathmandu) work very well, so that was good news.

I have an external hard drive that I use to store files to keep them "safe" from damage. I just thought that to save space on the computer I could somehow have P3D use the scenery from the external hard drive or even a cloud based storage system that way the sim would run smother and I would still have all my scenery in the sim. My big add ons are airport scenery and AI planes.

Thank you for the link to the VVNB scenery. I am always reluctant to install FSX scenery into P3D because you never know what it will do to the P3D setup. Since it worked for you it should work for me so I will install and cross my fingers. Looks like it is just a folder that you move into the add on scenery folder which is the best way for me. If there is a problem it's easy to just remove that folder. It's too bad that there isn't a list of FSX sceneries that will work in P3D because I'm sure we are missing out on some good scenery. I thought it might be a wireless cloud storage type of thing. I always thought the only way to install scenery was directly into P3D so I am trying to wrap my head around installing scenery somewhere else and then it showing up in P3D. I am thinking that I am missing out on something that could really benefit me. I would just like to find some sort of idiots guide to making this work.

I read about external hard drives like the WD small portable ones and I was wondering how they work in relation to P3D. Can you move scenery and ai planes to the external hard drive to save space on the computer? If so, then how is P3D able to "see" the scenery and use them in the sim. Do you have to plug in the external hard drive into the computer each time you want to fly?. I don't want to buy a new computer but with the large size of sceneries nowadays this could really come in handy. I am just not very computer savy and I just heard about this today. Thanks guys, after a reinstall then everything came back. I found the textures in ASCA. If you check under WX influence, you see all the textures with envtex. I was told that if you click on each one then you will see that the cloud weather types are checked depending on the conditions. If you click on a non envtex texture then you won't see any check marks.

Do you know if their even older scenery work as well. I am looking for the two airports in Vietnam but they are for 2004. For some reason I thought there was an elevation issue at Mumbai which is why it wasn't recommended. Did you have that problem?

So once upon a time, I was using REX skyforce, AS, ASCA, and Envtex together and it all seemed fine. The past couple of days I have been tinkering around with envtex and ASCA and now ASCA doesn't see my Envtex textures. There are about 64 Envtex textures that ASCA uses at random but I only have 4 now. This results in problems with ASCA because it's looking for textures that are not there. I tried all sorts of combinations in settings and it didn't work. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Envtex. I also followed a very good tutorial and still no luck. Now I am at the end of my rope and it's giving me real fits. I really should have left things alone but I am always chasing another "improvement". By the way, I would be so happy to see one product that does everything and doesn't have a hundred different names. It's getting more confusing every time something new is announced. Thank guys
