I think this video pretty much shows what can be expected from ASFS if compared to the MSFS current live weather representation and also shows the weather "tools" (historical, turbulence, cloud effects) that clearly MSFS either does not have or are not working right. As always, everything has its pros and cons, and it's up to people to decide wether to purchase ASFS or not at this time.
-
@Damian Clark Just one question: Could ASFS be used with a single license on two different machines running MSFS2020 with the same MS/Asobo license (of course, not at the same time, but just one at a time)?. Thanks

Mandatory Update ??????

Not mentioned, but in the Content Manager there are updates too, and of course you have to "buy" the CU6 from the Marketplace to complete the homework. -
Mandatory Update ??????

Download size or disk space needed, please? -
I'm afraid there are other new sites that make all those reviews in a very good and efficient way.

Active Sky coming to MSFS
edpatino replied to carlanthony24's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
With hundreds of nice weather presets available for the default sim weather, I doubt AS will really bring something to MSFS. -
IniBuilds Los Angeles - Bad Performance
edpatino replied to iFlySimX's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I've always thought that the IniBuilds guys put a lot of gigs in their products, and they're not optimized at all. Time ago, I purchased their KSAT and it has always been a stutter fest. More recently, I downloaded their Skydive Dubai for free and when put together with the rest of Dubai, including not their OMDB version, but the Asobo's one, my graphics card, which I recognize is not the latest model available, looses the battle and crashes the sim, most probably due to VRAM memory reaching out its limits. -
Horizon Simulations B787-9, any news?
edpatino replied to ndflieger's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Looks good enough for me. Of course it can be improved in certain areas but most of it is in a good standard in my opinion. -

What do you think the B787-9 needs to be updated/developed? -

VOR inop in all planes.
edpatino replied to Jack_Sawyer's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
You should have updated to v5 of the current cycle. I don't know about a different thread mentioning any issues, but it worth doing a trial. -

You run the Navigraph Hub and click Update if it's saying so. -

Remove Dune loading screen
edpatino replied to cseilerde's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I normally go away for 5 minutes to avoid the very ugly view of the Dune thing. Hopefully SU15 will do its task. -
It happened to me 3 months after the MSFS release almost 4 years ago. I did verify files on Steam, and bum!, the whole sim was re-installed from ground zero. Caution.
-
If you select the Steam option to verify files, as far as I know, it'll automatically re-install the sim.

Proper speeds for B787 descent?
edpatino replied to Boeing_Driver's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
You can change the default descent speeds on the FMS VNAV page (Descent), but in any case the speedbrakes do an excellent job in slowing down the aircraft if needed. -
LNM update

You can also download the zip version that comes with no installer (you do it manually, by simply unzipping the file and locate the folder where you wish). -
MSFS not staying in full screen mode
edpatino replied to sonny147's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Hopefully it'll be fixed with the official SU15 release this month. Users in the SU15 beta have reported the issue has been solved for them (cannot tell, since I'm not in the beta) -
INI A300 - MCDU turns off after deleting STAR waypoint?
edpatino replied to JYW's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
If it is from IniBuilds expect new upcoming patches to patch the previous ones. -
When people need to get attention... not very funny to me.
