1.
Hi,

You need to forget about mytraffic or world of ai, they have nothing to do with flying your own aircraft.

If you're just after the call sign changed go to the aircraft you want to fly in the free flight screen and select the call sign you want to fly with as I said in my earlier post.

If you want to fly with the correct livery, again as I've said, download the livery for the aircraft you want to fly. Once you install it, it will show up in the free flight aircraft selection screen where by you just select it as normal and you should find it will be set up with the correct call sign for that livery.(you have to make sure you have ticked the "show all variations" box too on the aircraft selection screen.

Steve

Hi,Thanks for clearing all that ! Ive tried to use World-Of-AI to get my livery for the aircraft tail signs. I used the installer they asked me to download to add the airlines I want onto the game but when I load FSX just as its loading up it says : There are multiple objects with the same title. They must have unique title names (folder name)--> WoA_AIA_B763_GE_DAL-delta airlines_NC simobjects/airplanes/WoA_AIA_B763_GE(every single airline I loaded with the installer has this error but with its different name in the error etc). There are about just as many errors like this equal to the airlines I downloaded - not to sure if they are in the wrong folder or what. But according to my world of AI installer they are all going to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes automatically. Thanks again.

  2. Hi again,Easiest way to fly routes is to use FSX's own built in route planner, it's not perfect but it gets the job done. If you want more realism or more options you can use a third party planner such as FSBuild (http://www.fsbuild.com/) or use a web based planner such as routefinder ( http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/) amongst others. If you want ATC to call you by a correct call sign, Southwest for example, and you want the aircraft to be displayed in a Southwest livery then as I said previously, you have to download a Southwest (or whatever airline you want to fly) repaint for the aircraft you're using. This will give mean your aircraft is painted in the right colours and ATC should call it by the right callsign. If you just want ATC to call you by the right callsign and your not bothered about the paint scheme then you just have to select the aircraft you want to fly from the free flight screen, then pick the callsign you want from the airline callsign box.(this assumes you have installed and run the editvoicepack program mentioned earlier)Steve
HI Steve,Thanks for the help again. Just would like to ask - as mentioned above if id like to get a call sign with the paint job etc i'll need to download these call signs myself online because I was thinking that My Traffic 5.2 not only gives Traffic AI but as well as Airline call signs with its real life routes etc. Ive tried using World-Of-Ai but once I installed these airlines I cant seem to get the airline with the call sign at all. Where would I be able to find it in FSX? Will I go to Free flight and just choose the Call sign there(Including the paint job) or what? May seem a bit obvious but I kinda suck at this :oThanks a million!

  3. Hi,editvoicepack only updates what ATC calls your aircraft, United, American or whatever. If you want to see your aircraft in the airlines livery, you have to download the required livery repaint for the aircraft you are flying. As for starting at a gate or parking spot other than the runway, you can select which gate or parking spot from the free flight menu. When you select which airport you want to fly from, go down to the box marked "choose runway/starting position" and click on the little arrow next to where it says active runway and you will be given a choice of starting positions (assuming the airport you're starting at has gates etc, most have, especially the major airports.)Hope this helps.Steve
Thanks it really does help a lot. Also just wanted to ask how do I fly the real routes the actual airlines do? Like Ive seen on YouTube . ( eg southwest KSFO to KLAX) And also I already have My Traffic 5.2 installed which should help with the airline call signs etc but they are not shown.

  4. Ive updated EditVoicepack already and there are airlines. But when I go to Free flight and clicked details I clicked the airline that I want but it does not show - the plane is still the same. and how can I start at the gates like in your videos rather then the runway - as well as fly the real airline routes. Sorry if these are stupid or obvious question - I am kind of a dork at these kinda things!

  5. It probably adds them to the airline.cfg file, so you'll see them referenced on the text atc instructions, but editVoicePack will add the voice wav files so you will hear them. Watc some of my youtube videos below to here how they sound. The latest ones have my modifications added. For example this playlist
Also can I ask how do I update the airlines.cfg file so that i can get my call signs. Because there are only the FSX fake airlines in that airlines.cfg file.

  6. There are plenty of alternatives, both free and payware. If you use default ATC, get editvoicepack, that will modify the phraseology to more standard ATC instructions, and is modifiable. It also fills in the blanks by adding the real world airlines. I also have an additional modification for it available in the FSX/Sounds library here, that adds wind call outs for landing instructions, and expected flight levels for Clearance Delivery. Your payware choices are Radar Contact 4.3 (RC4), Proflight 2000 Emulator (PFE), or VOXATC. You could even go with the ultimate realism, with live ATC from VATSIM. This is the site to get editvoicepack.http://www.editvoicepack.com/
OK i'll try those. But Since I already have My Traffic 5.2 doesn't that already provide all the real world airlines for me to fly? or does that just give Traffic basically

  7. There is nothing to ask, Wayne above gave you the correct answer, these aircraft models are AI only, you won't see them listed in the aircraft selection menu. There is a way though to make them user flyable, although I don't know why you would want to, as the models are not even at default quality in terms of visuals. There not meant to be. To make them flyable, you need to add a panel to them.
Oh okay. But how do I fly an airline on the planes I already have rather then the FSX fake airlines. Or is that not possible also - like some videos on You Tube where people fly the actual airline routes with the call signs etc.

  8. Ive managed to get the planes parked all over the airports I go. But how do I choose different planes and airlines . As well as fly different routes according to the airlines. And also how do I start a route from the parking lot of the airport instead of the runway.

  9. So I just finished installing My Traffic 5.2 and followed all the steps closely. But when I open my FSX I do not see any new plane under the Free Flight : current aircraft tab. Also when I go to a airport there are no other planes at all - Ive also read a lot that sometimes it could be a less populated airport but Ive tried KLAX, KSFO, WSSS - All heavily populated airports. Ive also check the support and tried to fix this problem by checking in the Communicator folder As well as in the My Traffic\scenery if I had an AI schedule file in FS8/ttools format installed somewhere but I did not. Ive also tried deleting the my traffic , aircraft , scenery and schedule's and rebuilding it but my Traffic UI and Call signs for my planes are not there. Would really appreciate some help I have spend days trying to fix this. Even going to world-of-ai and trying to get UI's there but it still does not work!
