  1. Greg, Great to hear from you! How are you doing? Thank you so much for responding. Yea its kind of weird. This issue only happens at Terminal 3 - the 3rd party addon. It worked flawlessly for the longest time which makes me think I created the issue, some way, some how, by installing a scenery completely irrelevant to this scenery. Anyway, what happens is AES drops its jetway overlapping the ones pre-built into Terminal 3. Again, it only happens at Terminal 3 and no where else in the scenery. Honestly, I can live with it. I was just hoping someone could "kick me in the head" and advise why "whatever I did" is the cause for this. Thanks again for the reply, Mitch
  2. Trioer, I will certainly try this. Thanks a bunch! Mitch
  3. Yea I read your reply before you deleted it. Glad you re-read my comment becuase I made it quite clear it was a 3rd party addon adding Terminal 3. And yes it worked wonderfully before something changed. Perhaps something I did that caused it to change. So no, I have no interest in contacting FSDT for help. But thanks for playing. Mitch
  4. Some years ago, I added the 3rd party update to FSDreamteam's KLAS which updated the airport to include Terminal 3. It worked for quite a long time. But last night I flew into KLAS and taxi'd to Terminal 3 to find double jetways. Yes I have AES for this airport and yes the jetway responded accordingly. I should mention the original Terminals did not have doubles as I witnessed taxiing past them. I also noticed flying into 01L I had no localizer or glideslope. Any help appreciated. Mitch
  5. FSXAIBUREAU? So these base models work flawlessly in FS9? So what do I do? Download these base models and put them into my FS9/Aircrafts folder? Then copy all the Amazon repaints into these folders? Very confusing. Also, last night when I started downloading the repaints I noticed many listed in "Repaints.txt" file were mentioned 3-4 times meaning I downloaded the same repaint over and over. Additionally, I noticed some of the repaints had mention of P3D in their file description. Hey listen. If this is too overwhelming then no problem. I can do without. Appreciate all the help you've provided up to this point. Thank you. Mitch
  6. Trioer, I finally got in to Alpha India. In the process of downloading repaints, etc. Where do I find the base model for all these various repaints? For example, I downloaded Amazon Prime Air from the link you provided on Alpha India page. Once downloaded, I see all the repaints & links to those repaints. But I assume there is a base model needed for these repaints? And I assume all those repaints will go into this base model folder yes??? If so, where to get base model? Maybe we use this Amazon Air as a learning process and hopefully I can tackle the rest later. Mitch
  7. Trioer, Thank you again. I now have AIFP. Unfortunately I cannot do anything with it has my account with Alpha India still hasnt been approved yet (24+ hours). Mitch
  8. Trioer, I finally was able to download and install AIFP. Huge problem though. First it directed me to download & install dotnet 4.8 which I succussfully did. But when I click on the executable AIGTech - AI Manager.exe the program hangs. Just sits there and does not allow me to pick a version. Initially tried on Windows 7 and later on my laptop Windows 10. Same thing. Just hangs. PS: These bombardments of advertisements on Avsim's site is absolutely ridiculous. This would have never happened under Tom's watch. Sad. Mitch
  9. Trioer, BINGO! Thank you very for taking the time to write out this process. I plan to start in on this at earnest over the upcoming weekend. You guys are the best. Thanks again. QUESTIONS: 1. Where do I download a version of AIFP that works with FS9? On their website they are referencing MSFS2020 and P3D. 2. Where can I find a list of the aircraft/repaints etc. that I need to download for the "Delta plan from Summer 2021" you reference? Mitch
  10. Trioer, Perhaps you can elaborate more. I would like to update all my Delta AI planes and flight plans. I have not done this for years and my knowledge of how to do so has evaded me. The recollections of what I did in years past was to download what I wanted from WOAI and use their installer. Since WOAI is no longer around, I fear now I will have to download each base model, paint scheme, etc. etc. and install them myself. God I hope this is not the case. I visited Alphia India has you suggested but I only became molre confused. I'm not stupid. But can you, time permitting of course, provide a step by step instructional on how to achieve what I'm after? If not, or if its a huge time consuming process then dont bother. I truly understand. Respectfully, Mitch (Michael)
  11. Sorry folks, But i'm I'm back. Does anyone in the FS9 world still update their AI aircraft and flight plans? Reason I'm asking is apparently I have not. In fact I know I have not since a WOAI package I installed several years ago. At the time, It was extremely accurate. In 2022, I still have Delta operating MD-88's & 90's. No A-350's etc. etc. Suggestions? Always appreciated. PS: KRNO (Reno-Tahoe) Upgrade is coming along fine. Trying to get the night lighting maps correct has been my biggest hurdle. I may release my homemade night maps for the entire "default" landscape. If I do this, keep in mind they will be for fast moving jets which overcome inaccuracies in day to night texturing. More aimed at the correct lighting at night which provide that beutiful sea of lights. PS2: I recently heard from Dave Rollins and KABQ FS2004 is not dead. Far from it. Dave mentioned he has been doing "limited" work on the airport. Time permitting. In fact, he's to the point of removing runways that have been real-world removed and abandoned by the airport authority. Thank you everyone. Suggestions on the AI are appreciated. Mitch
  12. Hello all, Was hoping someone within this community (FS9) could help. As a few of you know, I have a motion simulator inwhich I've been building, for what seems half my life, and I'm in the process of replacing my Aura tactile transducers for the more effective Earthquake MQB1's. In fact the installation is now complete. For those not familiar with tactile transducers, they are commonly mounted in simulators (gaming platforms) to the pilot chair, floor platform, etc.etc. and provide the thumps, bumps, rattling, etc. associated with aircraft movements. You really dont hear the sound providing the effect. Rather you feel it. They respond to very low frequencies. If you've been to Disney Land/World you've probably been on rides that employ this technology. My question: I have a few sound (wav) files I have created , for example, aircraft ground roll, gear thump, touchdown, and reverse thrust for example, that I am hoping someone with more knowledge than me can help me with. The aforementioned files already provide tactile feedback as they are in their current state. I was hoping someone could take these sound files and even lower the frequency to say 20-30hz where the transducers really thrive. I have WavePad Sound Editor Pro. But for the life of me I cannot figure out how to accomplish what I wish. If anyone has suggestions, tips, or advice, I would be greatful or your input. Respectfully. Mitch
  13. Bingo. Great and informative reply. Thank you so very much. Making note of this and adding it in my scenery journal. Thank you again Neumanix..
  14. Peter, and everyone else who responded, thank you all for sharing your knowledge. Greatly appreciated. I have been under the weather (sick) for several days now and I apologize for not having responded to each and every response. I beg that you understand I sincerely appreciate every response as I understand it took time away from your normal activities. Thank you again. I am now to the realization that mipping these night textures is safe to do. I plan on using "Mipmap Manager" to do so. But Peter? You bring up another area that I'm totally word not allowed about. "Alpha Channels". 1. What are they? 2. How do they effect the visual texture? What is the benefit? 3. And do I use "DxtfixerX" tool after I've added the mips in "Mipmap Manager"? Still confused, Mitch
  15. Educate yourself before asking such an asinine question.
  16. I'm struggling right now but thank you everyone for your advice. You have no idea how much I appreciate it.
  17. Ed, I'm a little confused. That's what I do often. Get confused. 😃 So after reading these posts, and thank you for everyone who responded, I'm still not sure what to do. I'm referring to the night ground textures. For example, located in FS9/Scenery/World/Texture the files labeled 029b2lm1.bmp-029b2lm7.bmp so on and so on. These textures. Can I, should I, MIP these. Yes or No. I've received excellent advice over time from many. Dedl from Germany helped me immensely. But honestly, I am a hands on guy, a builder, and a programmer. Hence my flight simulator. I still do not have the time to understanding of images, alpha channels, mips, etc. etc. I enjoy creating textures. Textures that make my FS9 seem more realistic based on the many real world flights I do. Perhaps I simply need to create, and then forward to someone with a better understanding, to complete prior to release. Frustrated, Mitch
  18. Folks, 95% of the credit goes to David Rawlins. Glad to have him back on board. Mitch (Who-Dey)
  19. Folks, KABQ update for FS9 is not dead. Progress continues. Image 1 Image 2 Image 3 Image 4 Image 5 Mitch
  20. Hello All, I am working on KRNO as you know. I'm making ground textures for the surrounding area. I have a question un-related to this. My question involves the default ground textures we use in FS2004. You know the ones labeled for example: 029b2su1.bmp, 029b2fa1.bmp, 029b2wi1.bmp, 029b2hw1.bmp, 029b2lm1.bmp etc. etc.? My question is more directed towards the LM default textures. The light map textures for night time. I have completely redone these textures to my liking. My questions: 1. Should I mip these? 2. If doing so, will it cause a CTD? 3. Any benefit in doing so? Your thoughts. Always appreciated, Mitch Quote
  21. Ok thank you. I stand corrected. Sorry Josh. Mitch
