  1. What does Air Manager have to do with monitor (visuals layout)? Pretty sure your reply has nothing to do with the OP inquiry. Air Manager, please kindly correct me if I'm wrong, is about adding gauges and panels. Mitch
  2. Hi Roger, Those night lights shown are default lights meaning they display wherever within the simulator. Not just exclusive to Reno. To date, I have not altered or created any night textures surrounding the airport area. I hope to do so prior to release. While I describe them as "default", they are actually night textures I created for our sim based on what I've perceived to be realistic (as possible) during my many night flights aboard real life Delta commercial flights. Mitch
  3. Hello all. I'm only 2 days into this project. But I've invested about 15 hours or so. Just wanted to give some updated screenies from what I have so far. My goal is to tackle the airport, casino's, and locally surrounding area. Will see. Here is what I have so far: -----> Please keep in mind I have not added Mipmaps yet. 4. Yes sir. About 80% done. But the gentlemen who was doing the modeling had to take a break. Mitch
  5. Ok. Dedl, and his associated swat team, have lit a candle under my butt and are holding me hostage in an undisclosed bungalow within the Canadian Rockies. They feed me Bud Lite and Twinkies. That's all I get. I'm on strict orders to upgrade Mach-1's Reno-Tahoe Airport, and Casino's circa 2008. So it has begun. KRNO2022Edition for FS2004 is underway. And frankly I'm excited about it. I will post updates as I have them. Expect accurate taxiways, night effects such as ground illumination from light poles, accurate Afcad, etc. etc. Early stages: (The images will appear very distorted as they were screen grabs within ModelConverterX) Image 1 Image 2 Image 3 Mitch
  6. Well. Ok. Put 2 1/2 hours into it this evening before work. It's a start anyway. (KRNO) Planned - KRNO 2022 Edition
  7. You two have inspired me. Think I'm gonna tackle a newly refurbished KRNO for FS9 - freeware. Stay tuned........... Mitch
  8. Dedl, Chris, You guys thank you so very much. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS!!!! All better now. It's amazing the knowledge that exists in these forums. Both of you thank you again. Mitch
  9. Dedl, Chris, you guys rock. Thank you so much. In the process of testing now............... Mitch
  10. Hello all, I have a weird problem that pops up from time to time. Common Denominator: Always involves freeware, 3rd party airports. Never occurs in any payware sceneries. The problem: Scenery becomes blurred out. I most recently downloaded Gary Widup's Casper, Wyoming airport scenery (cpr2007.zip). As I fly within close proximity to the airport, all scenery becomes very blurry. Not only the airport, but everything. The ground, in total, becomes blurry. This includes default ground textures, autogen, etc. surrounding the airport. But only if the airport scenery is located somewhere within the view area of the screen. For example, if you were to bank and the airport leaves the screen, the scenery returns to normal. So it is without doubt caused by something in the airport coding. This is not the only airport that I've incurred this issue. A few years ago, I downloaded and installed airport scenery for Reno, Nevada. Same problem there. And there have been others as well. It always involves freeware, 3rd party airports. Again, the conditions wherein this happens is: 1. Close proximity to the airport. i.e. 10 miles or so. 2. Occurs only if the airport is somewhere within the viewable area of the monitor. I would be grateful to anyone that possesses knowledge on the causation of this issue. Mitch
  11. Hello everyone, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays. Does anyone within this forum know how to program XML? I have HUD software that I have been using for several months in our simulator. It is a very nice hud that was donated to our community by Bob Kellogg. A package he encouraged us to "Feel free to modify". And I have been doing so for the past 6 months. My editing of the hud was to make it look more like an airliner hud rather than general aviation. I have succeeded in many ways. One I'm comfortable releasing back to the community. But first, I would love to integrate Dutch Owen's "Ice Gauge" into the hud. Both the hud and the ice gauge reference common XML "Element" entries. This should be able to be achieved by somone with knowledgeable XML skills. My hope is that we can get the "ice warning" to show on the hud. If some has very good skills at this, please contact me here or by PM. This is a nice FS2004 HUD that many of us airline fliers can enjoy. Mitch 757simulator.com
  12. I was wondering what ever happened to you. Glad to see your back. Hope you release this as you say you will. Sounds like a great scenery add-on.
  13. Dump XBOX - Useless for building a homecockpit. Mitch 757simulator.com
  14. Not sure what your point is...... But this can easily be done in the software coding operating the switch. Mitch
  15. Trioer, hello. Good to hear from you. Yes we were more than halfway through with ABQ. Unfortunately the gentlemen I was working with, who is much more talented than I, became slammed at work as well as all the fallout we dealt with C19. I hope to solicit someone with modeling skills to see this project through. I personally want this done as I love to fly there. Thank you for reaching out. Keep your fingers crossed. I haven't thrown in the towel yet by a long shot. M
  16. Pretty simple. Zip it up and make sure you enclose a Readme file so downloaders know how to properly install it. Upload it here to the file section. That's it.
  17. Release it. The rest of us do. I really can't fathom why anyone would "abuse" it. Frankly I'm not sure what that even means. But your looking at a sim that is well dated. Can't think of any incentive anyone would have to do such a thing. Us FS9'ers are a small group and several of us have contributed freeware scenery, planes, repaints, utilities, etc. At the end of the day the decision is yours. But I can honestly say I'd enjoy the scenery and I'm confident most other 9'ers would as well. Looks like an awesome package and I think you should enjoy the accolades & appreciation world wide that you truly deserve. Mitch
  18. Any update on releasing this to the community? Mitch
  19. Wow. Nice work sir. Cockpit builder here. Is there a way to remove the bitmap bezel to the ST3400? I have had my own bezel laser cut from acrylic and have added switches assigned based on the Keyboard settings in the INI file? They work very nice with the exception of the "VUE" entry. I was hoping you had a quick solution to removing this before I have to dive into the gauge coding. Many thanks for this awesome gauge. Its extremely obvious you put a ton of time and work into this, and your many other, gauges. Truly superb!!! Michael www.757simulator.com
  20. Ed, I'm finally saying the heck with this. I surrender and give up. Too much time exhausted on something so simple. That said, I'm still going to send you my files in hopes you have some magic at your disposal. I have PM'd you the files. Many thanks my friend. And thank you to all others who tried to help.
  21. >>Did you size the gauge as I said? <Size x="530 Y="440"/><< Ed, Yes sir as I conveyed to you earlier. Im gonna play around with this a few moments longer. If no luck, I’ll send you the panel file. Something odd is going on outside the realm of normalcy. The mere fact I had to move this from Window9 to 6 should be a clue something is very odd regarding my system.
  22. I understand. In your situation you are adding it a one monitor setup without issue. Perhaps that's a clue. Thanks again Ed.
