17JUN14 - Scheduling and General Updates

Actually I have expected the so called backlash from the AVSIM "community". This was learnt as I got some smart &@($* comments from a person whom later I discovered was a PMDG BETA tester. I was wondering how come it was defensive posts pro PMDG all the way. Enough said it is now comming to the July and lets see what other creative reasons they will come up with should there be another delay before SP1 is released................AND THE WORK GOES ON?????... Based on their speed that they are dragging their release dates do not rejoice too soon. Later it will be "it will be released when it is ready" statement being posted 2 years from now when we request for updates. Darren

Because like many lured into buying it expecting as what they publish in their statements of why they take so long in development to be of that standard. But with sky high expectations then you start to see people post on forums like this of this problem and that problem with the long delayed released product. Gosh speaking of this, now it is what? 9months since the release of the B777X and still no SP1?

Something like a shout box? Being fed rubbish info so I just try to echo the same back in the forum. But Bert, thank you for that kind advice. Anyway I have grounded my FS X and am into Formula 1 racing at the moment so am not really that concerned by the ridiculously late release of the SP1 and -300ER. (are they trying to break the one year anniversary since the original release before SP1 is released?) But it was just reading their so called "updates" that gets I am sure not just me but many others alike on the forum frustrated as it just appears to be buying time statements. I can bet when the SP1 comes out, there will be many complaints on this forum about it also as PMDG now is trying to forge a romantic notion of perfection (which is why it is taking so long) but we all know that is impossible. Hi! Thank you for your advice. But what answer we expect to get from PMDG? "It will be released when it is ready" or "the work goes on"? Do not need to have a reply as it seems to serve nothing more than merely lip service. But just to follow the forum rules I will sign off. Darren

Actually not to sound insensitive but I find it strange that the release of the SP1 and -300ER is delayed again due to RSR on medical leave? Like any company the work does not stop when the management is away. Wait someone is going to jump in to say that software industry is different from all other industries. This is the first time I have heard that a product/ service is delayed yet again as the management is on medical leave. To buy more time? Just be honest with your customers will do. First it was "it will be released when it is ready" and now this?

17JUN14 - Scheduling and General Updates

No no! Please don`t jump into this. It will be released when it is ready whether that be 10 or 20 years from now. WHEN IT IS READY...And the work goes on................

Wow! Did not see that coming!

    09JUN14 - PMDG 777 SP1 and 300ER updates

No wonder they do not have any release dates!! Check this out. Imagine when RSR announces the B744V2 will be released by this weekend for example, what will be the backlash if it was like this thread? It will slip week after week. Even an update also cannot meet the deadline just to release some more information, what more an entire package?

    PMDG 777-300ER Release date?

"It will be released when it is ready?". DO not need for PMDG`s official reply. Boss is back in Singapore this week and I will try that again with him also. Next month is my project deadline(something which PMDG doesn't set of looks like even have, a deadline hence the dragging on and on of the release date) Gonna be another 3 hours lecture. I think I will have to check if Starbucks got deliver to my office!

    09JUN14 - PMDG 777 SP1 and 300ER updates

Yes??? Week`s almost finished(in fact it is over here in Singapore). Any updates? "It will be released when it is ready??"
  13. DarrenLiewWY

    Regarding the 747 v2

Please no! Do you want to see the next statement from PMDG. "The B744V2 will be released concurrently with the B777-300ER and SP1"?

    09JUN14 - PMDG 777 SP1 and 300ER updates

Exactly! Later it will be "It will be released when it is ready" all over again....
  15. Oh! How about they are so busy that they have no time to report on the update of the SP1? Or as someone mentioned above that reporting the same stuff over and over again is a waste of time? You mean they have been going over and over the same thing? There is this project here in Singapore called the "Circle Line". There was always an industrial talk that that project was going around in circles. Hopefully it is not the same case for the PMDG updates or perhaps it has due to that we are now coming up to around 9 months since the initial release of the B777X with no service pack for us paying customers of the PMDG products.
