It has to do with creating a relaxing, low tension environment...

I could program an autoland...

Try hitting N1 during vnav climb. I've noticed that the A/T will be in "arm" mode during climb...
-
Other than being a little high and "swervy" on approach, you set it down pretty good.
-
You need to have your cruise altitude selected on the pressurization panel. Also, use engine bleed air for the pressurization during cruise, not the APU..

I know it won't be as good as the PMDG bird, but CS has released a preview video of their 777's EFB....
Nothing breeds a good product like good competition!

Hey all, quick question:
If I take off out of North America (transition FL180) to the UK (transition FL060), at what point should I be changing the transition level in the FMC? On entering UK airspace? On descent?

I come to avsim for the PMDG forum, sometimes HIFI. I don't mind at all having posts like this in the general forum, especially since PMDG news as trickled down since the Conference. I'd much rather have these video posts vs "Hey PMDG, make a 320!" or "I'm not paying $5.00 for my own stupidity!"

Weak sauce. I'll wait for the QW attempt.

Read the manual.

Yikes! fiftyfortythirtytwentytenThis one is interesting too........

I love the '47 -
I get this occasionally, I just reset the sim.

An old video card of mine started showing spikes (sort of like this) like this in every 3D program I ran, didn't last long....the video card died.

Oh and Chris you're lucky to live in Canada as Dutchman.
You're right, I could be living in Canada as a Frenchman!

I am running HD right out of the video card.

LOL, my desk is my bastion in my apartment. Everything else has one of my girlfriend's nicknacks on it.

As you can see, the 32 is pretty much as big as I can go without having to get more desk space. I suppose though, if I were to go bigger, then I could wall-mount the new screen :good:
yes, as mentioned you can use any size you want, make sure it's a led screen, wow what a different.
I have noticed however, with the LCD, that text can be a bit blurry and hard to read. I run the tv in its native resolution, which helps a bit. Does the LED tv have this (very minor) issue?
-
I've got a 32inch LCD tv as my primary monitor. It fills my field of view, so the immersion factor is even higher. Here's a pic, excuse the mess.

To my knowledge, groomers aren't aloud into the cockpit to clean, only the cabin/lavs/galleys...

Does anybody ever do any research about a given topic before posting?

I don't know the ins and outs of it. I read about the problem I was having in this forum, and figured it was worth a shot. Low and behold, after running the fix tool, haven't had the problem since....

It could be the magnetic variation in your navigraph data vs what's in the sim. Short of changing every airport manually with an editor, always defer to what's in the sim. I double check all my ILS frequencies and heading with Flightsim Commander. Alternatively, you can pull up the FSX map, and check them there.I did have the same problem you had (approach mode not lining up with the centre line), and it was fixed by running Flight1's registry fix tool.

As for the discontinuity, you need to insert a STAR before FLL. The CURSO2 arrival via EYW (Key West) should be appropriate.
I use http://www.airnav.com for all my USA charts. Great site, easy to navigate, and everything is current and free! woooot!
