  1. Same for me.... I run a 5950X + 3090 OC 3440x1440 everything on ULTRA and had a big boost when switched to GPU rendering displays. Some people will even curse me from complaining about "37 FPS" on intense scenery but I've been really spoiled having over 60ish with anything else in the same cirumstances (PMDG and FBW included). Only I was celebrating too early with my 3090 giving the "turbo" for the Fenix... So I realized the displays were crazy laggy. Had to switch back to CPU. However, I noticed one thing: you don't get the display's choppiness when rendered by GPU (in my case) when running in windowed mode. Anytime I hit the Windows button, displays were smooth. Even when popping it up. As soon as you go to fullscreen, crazy lag.
  2. Exaclty same issue here !! VS is very broken for me, using either PMS or TDS. However, I just found a quick and easy workaround. Before trying anything with the VS, hit IAS first and then, go back to VS... this works for me !
  3. And never mind about something conflicting with the AP... tested again with only the 414A (1.7.0 + SU9) and TDS in my Community folder and the AP is totally crazy broken for me. VS won't work consistently.
  4. Made a quick test with a "clean" Community folder and there is something definitely conflicting with the AP..........
  5. I was editing my last post as you wrote. Please disregard the VS change on ground. I forgot to arm the Altitude select. That's why I couldn't change it. As for the VS not keeping its consistency during initial climb, I'm still having this issue. As for the ILS, it's simply not working on TDS when loading the Approach as you suggested earlier and with PMS, I have to recycle GPS/VLOC to make it work.... I'll keep trying !
  6. Yep, I did it. As you said, with the TDS, if we load the approach, ILS won't work no matter what. even removing it from the flightplan won't fix it. Tested the PMS (I own the lifetime license version). It worked but had to recycle the GPS/VLOC otherwise, the plane would overshoot the LOC/GS. Quite frustrating. I hope this gets fixed soon on both PMS and TDS. As for the AP, there must be something VERY wrong I'm doing. I'm experiencing pretty bad functionality. VS many times is not responsive. After takeoff, engaging AP with preselected VS won't keep the climb rate.
  7. Ah, good to know then ! I'll keep testing and flying it. As for the ILS bug, I had something quite similar with the Carenado Seneca but a simple GPS/VLOC cycle made the AP track the ILS signal. Somehow, it makes sense that this bug is more towards the TDS GTN. I'll try an ILS with the PMS GTN and see what happens. For the VS/ Alt Cap / Heading bug, I'll keep checking ! Thank you very much for quick answering !!
  8. Since I bought this plane last night, it would be a bit hard to read 69 pages to follow the bug fixes and progress. I tried today a flight NZNR-NZAA with the 1.7.0 version. Using TDS GTNXi and everything seems to be very nice and smooth. Loving this plane since last night however, the AP is quite quirky. I know it doesn't use the MSFS default AP and unfortunately we can't use the mapped keys to control it but regardless, The AP behavior is weird. Even pre selecting a VS prior to takeoff, after engaging the nose goes down. Even turning it off and then on wouldn't normalize the attitude. It worked after I pressed IAS. Not sure if it is conflicting with the Default AP mapped keys since I pressed some of them (for my habit's sake). But this was all manageble. The show stopper for me was the AP absolutely overshooting the LOC/GS. Again, using the TDS GTN, everything went fine, the GPS to VLOC Auto switch worked perfectly, the frequency was correct but after pressing APR, it showed "LOC" and the GS was still to be captured. After many attempts, recycling all modes, including the GPS/VLOC mode on the GTN, nothing made it work so I had to do un ugly land after zig zagging the final app. Not sure if I'm missing something here... What bugs I've experienced so far: - VS MODE - On the ground, after activating FD and selecting VS, and turning the VS wheel, vertical speed after +600Ft would go to -900FT. - Heading Bug - it would randomly go from 10 to 10 degrees when turning the bug and then working normally again 1 to 1. - Altitude Capture - Sometimes it went crazy. it went over the armed altiutude and would go down again making almost impossible to capture. I fixed the problem by switching from IAS to VS in order to stop the oscilation. - Flaps/Landing Gear Warning sound won't stop even if you turn BAT OFF I really apologize for not reading all the pages here since I bought this product last night (And yes, I am aware it's still in BETA) but is this a known issue (AP not following ILS with TDS GTN) still to be fixed ? I'll try the same with the PMS GTN (I have the payed version as well but after getting the TDS, it's nearly impossible for me to use the PMS lol). I would really love to see the ability to control the AP using the mapped keys but I don't know how possible this could be with a "in house" modelled AP. As for the rest, it's a terrific software !! Tons of fun, beautiful cockpit and feeling, nice sounds (sometimes a bit too loud hehe). Just loving it. It worth every penny. I hope to see these issues addressed !! Thanks !
  9. Hi Bert ! I was just wondering. I believe the WX Radar stopped working after the latest version of your mod. I might be wrong but, I've been flying the F50 lately and noticed no feedback from the WX Radar when flying around Thunderstorms. I set the HSI on Full ARC mode, and both pedestal knobs from "FP" to "ON" and "MAP" to "WX", then even tilting up or down and waiting, changing distance, I still have no Display on the HSI... Could anyone confirm it ?
  10. It's a bug. GPU won't work anyway. Our option is to setup the plane and start the engines very quickly ! PS - Carenado has a Pop up menu to turn on GPU with their Citation S550 which is quite older then the F50 (and it actually Works quite well)... And they are sometimes crazy enough to not implement a simple thing in a much newer add-on like the F50... Go figure.....

    Fokker 50 GSX

    Thinking this way, I should get as many Embraer as I could ... And let's say, they are not Carenado's master pieces. Another Dev, Wilco ERJ's ..... meeehh... I pass... Hopefully Aerosoft will make a decent one some day ! About Fokker, I absolutely love them all ! It's part of my life and memories. One of the largest Brazilian Airlines operated Fokker massively during 80's and 90's (TAM, LATAM nowadays). The first airline airplane I flew in my life back in the 80's when I was 9, was the Fokker F-27 ! Even nowadays I simply love that plane and the sound of the Rolls Royce Dart... Very distinctive with the 4 blades propeller rather than the F-50 with it's more "modern" turboprop sound ! Another thing is: I'm really enjoying the subject in this thread but it's very funny and curious how a FSDT GSX subject has turned into a Fokker "Conversation"

  14. I've been editing many Carenado's aircrafts night texture files in order to dimm the fllood lights to a more acceptable level of brightness. I did with the F-50 as well and I'm very happy with the final result ! I haven't posted any Picture so far but in my opinion it's without a doubt far better than the default flood light when using dynamic lights. If there is anyone interested about it, I could email the files...
