Don't spill your coffee doing aerobatics! Yes, it is a neat feature. In FSX, you could use the mouse as a yoke, but you could not control the throttle. In FLIGHT, you can!
Yes, I had a go and looked through that as well with 7Zip, and I found the camera.cfg somewhat similar to FSX! And quite an interesting range of stuff it contains as well!

I have installed drivers 295.73 on my card and it works fine. Just make sure that you don't use the Auto Detect and use the manual selections, as the Auto Detect doesn't always work. It gave me notebook drivers instead of desktop drivers.
