  1. I mean if I want the callouts in fixed wing aircraft too, I would have to change the aircraft designation. But it creates trouble.... so helicopers have the full callouts set only for now.
  2. Well I tried and things get affected :D. Not worth it...
  3. So is it possible to change the aircraft engine in X-plane and call it a day? Not sure if this can have an effect on flying characteristics ...
  4. No. I want callouts to be enabled for all planes not only helos. I want to hear the GTN calling 500, 400, 300.... until 50. But it is only possible in HTAWS. Actually I do not want to disable VOC, I want to enable them for GA too 🙂
  5. YES YES of course, it says HTAWS test OK and written HTAWS in the lower left corner of the GTN unit. No change, it is the same, for GA it says TAWS and no audio callouts. For any Helicopter configuration A or B and TCAD it says HTAWS. Does not work with terrain proximity as expected. No difference.... It seems that HTAWS automatically works with all the bells and whistles whenever TAWS is selected within a helicopter. Otherwise no callouts after 500. So the thing is to make the GTN believe it is a helicopter I think 😄
  6. Not sure I can see any significant difference. It must be within planemaker to let the GTN understand this is a Helicopter I think.
  7. Here is the ini file of the arrow Here is the ini file of the 222b Helo
  8. In the settings there is only TAWS A & B. I tried A and it works with the helos. Is there any other setting we should change? NB: I think it works worldwide...
  9. It is the RXP GTN callouts with the male or nice lady's voice! It isn't X-plane's... The option is available in the Cowansim 222B for example. I have added the 2D gauge to the Nimbus Huey and it is available. See pics. Meanwhile it is not available with most REP packages and not with Just flight aircraft nor with Torqusim BN-2T. In the aircraft above it is called HTAWS while in the others it is TAWS. Maybe this is what makes the difference and I am not sure if it is a setting in RXP or if we have to find this out in planemaker....
  10. Both pics are from different add-ons in X-plane. I have many aircraft with callous and others without. I am not sure why it is not available at times. It seems to be a feature of the standard RXP GTN though.
  11. Anyone knows how to make the voice callout option in the second picture appear in the first pls?
  12. Hi there I am mainly using X-plane and I need to activate callouts when they are not available in the GTN screen. But I have no clue how to make this configuration work when it is not there. I am attaching a couple pics to illustrate what I mean... Thanks for helping!
  13. I just ordered the CLS-E bundle... my pocket hurts 😄 Hope I will forget that when I have them running
  14. Would any owner of the Brunner CLS rudder inform us if it is good enough for the price? Does it work fine with all aircraft? Any advantage over conventional ones such as MFG or others? Thanks!
  15. I am about to pull the trigger on the CLS-E. 15 cm from stop to stop is about the minimum I would like to have. I see really long stroke in airliners to be honest. Would be nice if an NG owner shares his experience though.
  16. I stand corrected here. It has piston engines... my bad 🙂
  17. I would not call the Aerosoft DC-8 a "study level" aircraft though... I recommend you try the Coolsky DC-9 instead of the SkySimulations if you want something close to "Study level analogue gauges aircraft"... The DC-6 is a turboprop not a turbofan. Jets have turbofans 😉 As a side note, if you also fly other than P3D simulators... Felis is building a 747-200 for X-plane which I expect to be close to "study level", but he is just started... So expect few years ahead!
  18. You may consider it as an additional interface that makes you see how the aircraft is thinking and acting during Descent 🙂
  19. Copper you got it right! VNAV Speed Band is implemented in the PMDG 748 and I do enjoy it a lot! :-)
  20. hahahaha... No no I take it easy. Nice day 🙂
  21. I have used this plane without this feature and I know what the FMC is doing and never had any problem with it. I like animation and I like a busy PFD. To each his own. And btw the NGX is not the hardest brain resource using airframe to begin with I am sure you know this. I like animation / diversity and I like to have choices, and I do respect whatever you like.
