In graphics settings within sim, set 4xMSAA

In nvidia inspector, set antialiasing mode to 'enhance application setting'

Still in nvidia inspector, set 'transparency supersampling' to 4x sparse grid super sampling.

Be warned though, this setting looks great but in heavy cloud it will/can hurt fps.

Also, in my experience, any SS antialiasing will also hurt fps if using dynamic lighting.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I went ahead and did 2xSSAA with the nVidia Inspector settings set to "Enhance the application" I cannot run 4xSGSS because of the TFDI issue with the screens and the dynamic lights kill it.

Thank you for your help Stu!

Thank you. That seems to have helped quite a bit. There was an error in my post, I meant to say I run 8X MSAA instead of SSAA. I can run SSAA perfectly fine with the 1080ti but dynamic lights come to a crawl. I'll tinker around with the settings and report back, but you have me on the right path. Thank you.

You should not need a special monitor for this to work.. I have a 60Hz monitor, fps locked at 30, vsync and triple buffering on.

Thanks for your help. I guess for the decent portion of the leg I will limit my FPS to 30 until final approach. That might seem to help. I will report back.

Looks to be a wide spread problem.  I have the same problem but not as bad as some it seems.  I have it regardless if I'm locked at 33 or unlimited (the two settings I use).

The only thing that I can do is force the sim to refresh the scenery, but there is a risk of it crashing. Do you have a 30HZ screen?

  5. Hello team

I seem to be running into a bit of a situation with blurriness on decent. I checked out this thread here to no avail. http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=125808

This only happens when on the decent no matter what aircraft I have installed. The autogen fails to load and all the textures are blurry and unreadable.

    i7 7700k 4.8ghz
    1080ti 1950mhz boost clock
    480GB PNY M.2 3GB/s

    ORBX Global, Vector, LC

    My Prepar3D Settings

FPS are on unlimited and VSYNC/Triple buffering on. 60hz monitor 60FPS.

The only tweak I use in the Prepar3d.CFG is Affinity Mask of 84. Without this my sim would stutter.

    Any thoughts?

I have given up using NI with Prepar3d4. I used it for 4xSGSS, as Antialiasing was really poor in former versions, but this is history now. Besides, I have a 30Hz monitor relieving any need of external fps capping.

Settings like Maximum Power and a couple of similar ones certainly wan't hurt, but I can't tell having derived any observable advantage from them so far.

    Kind regards, Michael

Hi Michael. Question regarding your monitor.

Which make and model do you use?

    Thanks, Ryan

    Hello, Erich!
Now I'm using P3D 4. This version of the simulator has its own lighting features, so I tried to make my preset and new sky textures. They are not yet on the site. You can take it here. Separately, textures with other presets and a separate preset with other textures will not look very good, so it's advisable to use them together.

Love you work Kiwi! Will the sun effect work in V4? I am using the suneffect.cfg and textures provided on the website but I see no effect. Maybe new features for V4?

    Thanks.

  8. Hey all!

I seem to have an issue with FPS in Prepar3D V4.

    Issue:
With Vsync on, Triple buffering and unlimited FPS it is hard to maintain a steady 60FPS. It jumps from 115-25 at times and is stuttering uncontrollably.

    My goal:
I want to stay at 30FPS, but when I lock the frames it is not smooth and stuttering badly, enough to give me a headache.

    My rig:
    i7 7700k 4.8ghz
    16GB 3200Mhz
    1080ti 11GB

Should I buy a monitor that can support 30Hz? If so what do you recommend? Is there a way I can force my 1080p monitor to 30Hz?

    Thanks, Ryan

  9. Hello all, I'm running into a bit of problem that I have been attempting to troubleshoot. Is anyone having an issue with the product stuttering a few minutes of being loaded in the simulator. As soon as a switch on the autopilot it stops stuttering, but while on approach and disengaging the autopilot back to 8 FPS, and so on. I have it installed under the migration tool, the aircraft manager works well too.

    Thanks, Ryan.

I found KXNA from Ryan Whitford nicely done.

Edit: Oop, I see its already mentioned above.

Thank you guys. It took me a while to make that scenery. Glad you like it!

  11. Hello all!

I'm in a bit of a pickle with my FSX, I usually use "CTRL +   _     +   "  to zoom in and out of my aircraft in spot mode, however I hit a button that freezes my free pan view... You know when you hit the space bar and move your mouse it pans around. I cannot figure it out for the life of me, has anyone else experienced this before? If so please provide input!

    Thanks, Ryan

  12. I just purchased this software myself and did a flight. I am amazed on how it portrays the sky so beautifully. I might have to change my updates to every 45 minutes because I sometimes see it change dramatically while I'm enjoying it.

  13. The new 1.2c is out and it is fixed for now. They don't really respond to emails well. I have mentioned all the bugs with the aircraft but they just respond with simple sentences like "Sir, the paintkit will come soon" after I wrote them an entire email on everything that wasn't right including the Flight Dynamics (which they continue to ignore). Wilco has published yet another overpriced addon that has little to no effort put into it. What a shame.

PS The paintkit, you cannot work with it. You have no idea where to paint. Wait for the Aerosoft/DA CRJ.

  14. Hello all.Not to dig up an old topic but I bought the Wilco 737 EVO2 and for the 15 bucks extra I grabbed the repaints. Terrible, just terrible. I have done a total of 2 flights with it and cannot fly it again. The VC is "alright" but they could have used higher quality textures, but I guess im just spoiled by the PMDG. The winglet variation of the model in inaccurate, when you look at the Southwest repaint near the winglets the texture doesnt even cover the entire surface because the winglet is too wide. They used the same gauges as in the 06 version, the same .AIR file from 06 and the "Ultra realistic highdef soundset" sounds like the 06 version with the FSX sound cone added. Not to rant on and on but I am just so frustrated with this purchase. The majority of the community on facebook agreed and suggested to them to fix their obvious model issues but for 2 months they made no comments regarding it. Too bad for their company and it is sad to see they are making the CRJ also but hopefully they have learned their lesson.Take a look at these pictures, to me it looks like the nose is off a bit but I guess we fly with the systems right?CRJNextGen_7.jpgdelta_bombardier_20071027.jpg
