at my end synctoy can not syncronize or echeos or contribute files which are encrypted, is there a hidden switch or something else what I'm missing (Win10, all updatet)? Best regards

I have the steam version, originally installed in Win10 which was later updated to Win11. When I installed MSFS I stipulated that it must be installed on Drive D  in folder 'MSFS steam'. The 'Official'-folder was then placed in this folder. I placed my Community-folder in the Steam folder as well. When running Synctoy it is very easy to select each of these two folders (separately) to make a backup to wherever you want. The backups are verified after each run. If, for example, the Official-folder gets damaged, you delete this folder and then copy the backup over in it's place.

I don't know where the 'Official'- and Community folders of the store-version are installed. Simmers with the store-version might give you some info eg how to install this version on a different drive and whether the encryption is then 'broken'. If that is so, Synctoy should then do the job.

  2. Have been using Razer Orbweaver for more than 10 years. Fantastic in combination with Chaseplane in previous flight sims. Better than Tartarus in my view but unfortunately not available anymore. 20 Programable keys for views in cockpit as well as internal/external views in FS2020. Never had any problems with updates or sticky keys. As a matter of fact as good as new. One of the best hardware periferals I have at the moment.

  3. Update went fine. Everything is working except that now the flaps are not working (all Aircraft). Nothing was changed in the control settings. Checked everything - no double bindings etc. How is this possible as before the update I had a perfectly running sim?

I had the same problem in the UK. I solved it by going to the Microsoft App store and searching for "flight simulator". When I clicked on one of the resulting thumbnails it took me to the MSFS page on the Microsoft UK site, which gave the prices in UK pounds and accepted my UK address.

Thanks Muklum. I appreciate your help. Could buy, download and install without any problems after I logged in to the Microsoft South Africa site.
