  1. Sirs

OS is Win7 64 bit Ultimate

I reinstalled Win7 and FSX on a new drive. I have installed the PMDG 737NG series and they all work fine. Other aircraft that I have installed work fine.

I installed the MD11 and when I try to boot up the MD11 I get a "fatal error". I click ok on the window that comes up and FSX reboots. I installed the MD11 with administrative rights.

    Help please

  2. On the overspeed I am only reporting what I saw. The A/T switch was on and the aircraft was overspeed for whatever reason.

My statement about the blue screen with a memory dump was that it has never happened when FSX was booted up. I know it is not caused by FSX. It is a very difficult problem to get resolved.

FS is not a hobby for me, its a passion. I purchased the ver first flight sim that Microsoft released on a 5 in disk. I have had ever copy of FS that microsoft has released.

I am 84 years young and some things about setting up an aircraft for flight slip through my mind.

I have most of PMDG aircraft. PMDG is at the very top for the type of aircraft they design

Now for the 747 issues that I have had. I just finished a perfect flight from KDFW to KPHX.

After our last conversation I uninstalled the 747 with the Win7 uninstaller. I then deleted what was left in the aircraft folders. I then ran AVG PC Tuneup and It did remove some 747 files. I then made a backup copy of the registry and looked for 747 titles. There were some there. I deleted them.

I reinstalled the 747, adminastrative rights, and did not run the Flight1 registry repair tool. I made a short test flight and the course line on the MFD was right on and the A/T worked fine. I then installed some leveries and made the flight from KDFW to KPHX and it was perfect.

    Retards

  3. Partial sucess. I uninstalled the 747 using the Win7 uninstal. I then reinstalled using my existing downloads frome 2011 .I downloaded a new copy of the Flight1 registry repair tool and ran it. I then booted up the 747 and flew for approx 30 minutes and the coure line was perfectly aligned. The problem was with the A/T engaged the aircraft went far over speed.

One of my computer issues is the blue screen with a memory dump that I have not figured out how to fix. I get it quite often but never when any FSX aircraft is flying. It has no effect of FSX.

This last ;uninstall I did not run my AVG PC Tools registry cleaner which was probably a mistake.

When the 747 is uninstalled using the Win7 uninstall, does it remove 747 registry enteries?

I assume that after uninstall the registry should be clear of any 747 entries.

Are you familar with the AVG PC Tools program? I think it is pretty good. I am thinking about purchasing the registry cleaner that you are using.

At present the only issue is the A/T did not control the speed on the last flight. Again the course ling was right on, no problems.

Ahy further suggestions will be appreciated.

  4. I purchased the 747 packages back in 2011. So, I assume the updates and SP's had been rolled into the basic install exe.

I did the installation as you suggested using just the basic installer. I then ran the Flight1 registery repair tool but the course line is not correct.

I have descided that about the only thing left to do is purchase new downloads to see if that will work.

I am open for any suggestions.

  5. I reinstalled the 747-400, after an uninstall with the Win7 uninstall program,.with no problems.

The problem is when I start to install the 2.10 update I got a message that the update is already installed. The -400 had previously been uninstalled. I find no entry in the windows uninstall program for the installation of the 2.10 update.

    Questions:

Why am I getting the message that the 2.10 update is already installed.

    OS is Win7 64 bit

I have PC Tools and run it frequently to clean up the registry. Seems to work ok

Could the message be related to the registry file and PC Tools did not fined it? Where in the registry file would I look for this entry.

I installed the 2.10 update anyway, right or wrong.

I fly the -400 and the course line on the MFD was canted approx 30 degrees.

I Had this problem once before and ran the Flight1 Registry Repair tool and it fixed the problem.

This time I ran the repair tool and the course line was still canted about 30 degrees. Not fixed.

Gentlemen where do we go from here.

    Regards

  6. Gentlemen

My OS is Win7 64 bit Ultimate

I first started to download 747 udates and sp's and i could not download any of them. Now I have discovered that I cannot download anything, even liveries from the site. When I try to download the download bar at the bottom of the screen comes up but when I click on save it says retry. Retry does not do it.

    Help please

    Regards

  7. Sirs

I have installed the new Voulme 1 Evolution Airbus

I cannot get the Configuration Manager to write anything into tha aircraft. cfg file. I think it should but I may be wrong. No matter how much fuel the Configuration Manager says I need for a trip, when I boot up FSX and look at the fuel page all tanks are 100%. If I change the fuel on the FSX fuel page and exit the page it will aways go back to 100%. On the fuel quanity diaplay all tanks read 100%.

  8. Dennis my preference on Flight Planners is AivlaSoft rather than FSC. I used FSC but AviaSoft provides a much better presentation and much more comprehensive planner. In your answer you just beat around the bush and present nothing specific.

  9. I use the flight planner program AivlaSoft to make flight plans. With this flight planner i have the capability to specify the landing runway. When I load the plan into the 737NGX FMC and look at all the waypoints the landing runway is shown, for example RW26. If I open the APPROACH page in the FMC there will be no frequency/heading and no GS On or Off selection. When I fly the plan and on the final approach to RW26 the GS bug starts down and just goes right on by the center position and does no lock on and I do a manual landing. I have found that I must specify the landing runway within the FMC ir order for the frequency/heading and GS On or Off option to be available. In so doing it becomes necessary to edit the waypoint in the approach to get rid discontinuities. This is really not a big deal but it would be nice that as long as there is a runway specified after loading a flight plan that the approach page would always show the frequency/heading and GS On or Off.Regards
