  1. Superb shots from a super great looking plane!
  2. Excellent - all these details really let this Cub apear super amazing!
  3. WOW! This looks really, really amazing!
  4. Welcome! When it comes down to civil flightsims - and for now at least - i also think that FSX/P3D still is the best choice when it comes down to flying around New Zealand. I have not been there in real life, but i am pretty sure that New Zealand is one of the greatest places on earth and i really hope to visit it one day. Whenever i go flying there in the sim, i very much enjoy flying above ORBX scenery and flying above the fantastic Godzone Virtual Flight sceneries for NZ, which are also absolutely beautiful. But i am also very much looking forward to - and hoping for - a nice rendition of NZ in XPlane 11. Judging from an official statement about future plans for 2017 on its website, Godzone may provide some dedicated scenery for XPlane 11 one day. Another very promising looking scenery for XPlane, which may be released some time in the future as well, is being introduced here at the forums: http://www.avsim.com/topic/495803-new-zealand-ultimate-vfr/ So let's see what the future may be holding for us! As for now though: Have a great time flying!
  5. +1 - and yet, as all the many threads of this kind clearly show, discussing about and comparing various flightsimplatforms obviously seems to be something very interesting to many flightsimmers. as long as it all stays calm and peaceful, it is great to join in every now and then
  6. Hi Jose! I really (always) appreciate Your point of view and constructive criticism, hence i put a "" into my previous post when i was refering to the aspect of flightdynamics. And yet i really have to admit that, although i still very much enjoy my FSX under DX10 due to the many great add-ons i am using it with, XPlane 11 is a stunning flightsimming platform even if being used just right out of the box. And with more and more advanced 3rd party add-ons (such as PMDG's DC-6, IXEG's 737, the Airfoilabs C172, Thranda the Kodiak, XEnviro and all the many more) available for XPlane, i - at least for now - consider XPlane to be a great alternative for all of us flightsimmers around.
  7. Why? ... flightdynamics i assume  i'd rather still go for XPlane though, as in my opinion (and as the videos above proof), XPlane 11 is really amazing these days for what a desktop flightsim may have offer, once everyhting is set up accordingly. Now i'm not saying that P3D is a bad thing, so please do not get me wrong, but honestly - and again, as the videos above clearly show - right out of the box, XPlane 11 really is my prime sim of choice - at least for now ... P.S.: ... i also have to second though, what has been pointed out by Dave in #17 ... XPlane's default clouds look very dissapointing
  8. WOW! You should really post this one in the screenshot section here as well - what a stunning capture from XPlane and XEnviro! Great!
  9. After reading through this vivid thread here (and elsewhere about ORBX going XPlane) i dare saying that albeit being completely aware of the somehow "questionable" common history ORBX and XPlane may have to share, i remain overall positively surprised and more than ever believe in a bright future for XPlane!
  10. And again: Great XPlane shots from Yours here Mik! WOW!
  11. These are stunning shots - XEnviro looks really good so far!
  12. Thank You Tony! Thank You very much! This looks amazing ... again! WOW!
  13. One great shot after another here Jose - NYC at its best!!
