Taken Sound card out and all works well! (so far) Did a flight from eham to egnm changing views a lot and doing replays of the landing as well as changing to a different aircraft. All worked fine.So basicall I've spend a fortune on a sound card that I can no longer use?! grrr you'd thin Creative would pull their finger out! I mean it wasn't a cheap one :-(But thanks again to everyone for trying so quick to help me, especially during the holidays! :-)

Had the pc made my pc specialist and i've just noticed the sound card has been placed ontop of the graphics card and it's very warm to the touch!!! Will turn off system and see if i can relocate it to another slot. Hope so!

Turned things down and it's still saying 53c with the flame icon next to it. turned it down to 16bit instead of 32bit display too but not helping. Both fans on the graphics card are running as well as the case fans at 100%. Could it be a faulty card? Off to look at the simviation forum you mentioned. I've got my frames down to 30.

OMG it's overheating!!!!! Thanks for the advice! so it's framerates and antialiasing I need to lower then? Will let you know how i get on! Looks like I should have gone for one of those hidious looking gaming cases lol

Cheers. What is the EMB mod you sperak of?Bloom is off but traffic was at 100% and frame rates set at unlimited. I heard that there was a special way of setting frame rates possibly through the config file? Something about setting it to unlimited but then actually limiting it in the config or somewhere else. Am I just making this up or did I hear correctly? I'm please people giving me hope, thanks guys!

Have installed Speedfan and will keep an eye on it. Wondering if it may be a ram issue?

Dear all.Finally saved up for new pc and after FSX had been out six years (If I'm correct) and then foud out that FSX doesn't want to work. Have I rushed into things, did I not give MS long enough to iron out the bugs?Anyway, I thought I'd list my specs and then a screen shot of what's going on as well as the things I've tried. The graphics seem fine (i can even do a 30min flight say from eham to egnm) but then it happens once i decide to change settings via the file menu at the top or maybe try and run a replay. Sometimes only a few textures dissapear such as the outside of a plane but then as you try and do more, say move between views, things just stop loading and you end up making a prety pattern on the screen until you have to ctr alt del just to get out. I'm gutted as I've saved up for this pc and now it seems like i shouldn't have bothered.Things I've tried:Different graphics drivers, older and beta.Uninstalling eveything and reinstalling on a separate folder on C:\fsxFiddling with the setting within FSXAdding that file UIAutomationCore.DLL file (the one that's a 32bit vista file that you drop in the main fsx folder but NOT in the system folder)Upping the texture_max_load to 2048ScreamingEverything appears to be fine with the default aircraft but who wants to fly those!?!?!?!I have level-d 767, quality wings 757, pmdg 747 & md11I'd list my scenery but after the second install I made sure to install the pmdg 747 first and it happened before I'd installed anything else. Not saying it IS the pmdg 747 as it also happened after installing ultimate traffic 2 with the textures of the AI planes going invisible too! The problem also happens with all the other addons listed previously, it's just that I love the pmdg so much that I loaded it first :-)My pc specs are as follows;Intel i7-2700k8gig ram64bit windows 7nvidia gtx-580 3gigssd hard driveasus p8 z68-v profsx gold edition.Any ideas please let me know,James

I keep getting these weird fuzzy things in the sea at night and have tried changing lots of settings to get rid of them.I'm worried as the last time something like this started happening (fs9) it was my graphics card that had to be changed!It's so ugly I can't imagine it was actually designed as part of the game so would love it if someone could tell me how to stop it.I use REX and wasn't sure if it was a particular choice of sea textures causing it but I've swapped about and they still appear.Many thanks, James
