Hi Everyone -
I am increasingly wary of my own "build it yourself" computer skills. While I have swapped memory and added a few graphics cards in my lifetime, I am simply not comfortable with assembling a system from scratch. I read with interest the recent forum chat about Jetline Systems, as I've been leaning towards a Jetline myself, but the cost of their systems is definitely giving me pause.
So, I ask if you have thought about an out-of-the-box Asus system, specifically this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883220989 . (If link does not work anymore, it's an ASUSG10AJ-US010S Desktop, PC Intel Core i7 4790 (3.6GHz) 16GB DDR3 2TB HDD 128GB SSD Windows 8.1 64-Bit.)
I realize the SSD is probably too small, so I would likely have to install FSX on the hard drive. Yes, the 3.6 GHz is on the slower side from what I am reading about here. (And I'm not too confident in my skills with overclocking, if it could even be done. I've never done it.) But for $1400, this does not seem like a bad buy. I appreciate hearing any of your thoughts out there!
Thank you ahead of time,
Ken
