What else is in there that's changing airport textures? REX, Zinertek, Orbx? I don't have ESSA. Does it have a configuration program that's set for winter and what you're seeing is snow kicked up by the wheels?

hi all, 2 things. 1. What exactly does the counter directly above the %rpm (Engine Gas Generator % RPM) gauge do? 2. The audio panel switches and toggles (COMM, NAV, ADF, etc). Is there any rhyme or reason to how they operate? Seems like you can turn them on but not off. 3. Gyro pressure = 4.5. Green arc is from 2 - 3. ??

Here's from the Orbx forums concerning DVDs bought from other online stores: "So FSS will charge a very low AU$3.95 service processing and administration fee to have your original non-FSS purchased DVD validated via order numbers and a photo of the physical DVD with date evidence." FSS = FlightSim Store Good hunting!

I joined the Orbx forums at least a year before I purchased any of their products so I don't think actually having an order number is a requirement. Unless they've changed policy, you only need an order number for support on the scenery you bought. My guess is they're having problems and not advertizing it.

Read thru all 12+ pages of the "S550 with ISG FMS" in this forum and you'll catch the drift on how to obtain the necessary files. Be aware these mods require the ISG1 gauge pack which is not included, but for sale on SimMarket (and possibly other) website. $22 I believe.

pcflight.net?? A "solid" aircraft "stunning in all aspects." 8.2 out of 10?? Mr. Haynes is certainly entitled to his opinion but I don't share it. IMO, it's mediocre, over-priced, but has the potential to be much more better if only they'd finish it. Ditto for the Phemon 100.

Understand that the Flight1 Mustang is for FSX only. They hobbled it so the glass cockpit won't display in P3D. That said, its a great plane and one reason I keep FSX around. And don't forget Flight1 30 day refund policy (which I doubt you'll need.) $50 for the Mustang? Then the S550 should sell for $20, if that.

<sigh> The ONLY plane I would buy again if it became available for P3D.

While it's always a good idea to backup important files, I'm pretty sure the updater will offer to backup the files before changing them.

And I doubt the upcoming Hawker will be nothing more than a repackage of the Phenom and Citation with a new set of mediocrity. Curious about your "other bizjet" comment. Where in P3D is there a different bizjet?

Been thinking of doing the same thing in 500-600nm jumps, but also want to visit 6 continents. So I need to figure out where to start and how to jump across oceans without getting wet. I remember getting a freebie called "Around the world in 80 flights" so maybe I'll take a look at their flightplans.

If you're using FSX, why not consider the Flight1 Citation Mustang. IMO still the best small jet out there, even after all these years.

Hi Stef, Let me guess, they lost your order or the order was incomplete?? Two weeks ago I placed an order and it took 8 days to get the download information. There was a thread in the ORBX forums about server problems which included FSS. FSS has a monopoly on ORBX, unfortunately. Although the US dollar is buying more these days.

If you're questioning exactly which airport is showing in FSX/P3D (whether it's the stock airport or some 3rd party airport or etc) AND you have FS Commander you can easily find out. From the menu bar of FS Commander > Window > Airport Information will bring up a window with all sorts of information including what file is being read to display the airport. IE: "Based on file: AFX_EKCH.bgl" in red letters. Since FS Commander builds its database like FSX/P3D prioritizes its scenery areas you know for sure if your scenery ordering is correct or not. Also helps to sort out why that lake is in the middle of the runway. KORD 28C. I speak from experience. FS Commander is shareware and works for 30 minutes until registered. Support the author..

Hi, I don't have the Learjet, but I do have the Avelina from Lionheart. I have "Terrain.1\Lakes\...\como" which has the panel.cfg, sound gauges and other Avelina files. Should show "alias=" in the panel directory of the Learjet. Anti piracy was my thought when I discovered it.

Yes, but with a gotcha. Taxiways (taxi links) need to have their draw flags set properly so they will display correctly in P3D. Airport Design Editor (ADE) by Scruffy Duck software easily does this. www.fsdeveloper.com PS: I wonder if this is still the same in P3Dv2.5? EDIT: Yes, it's still the same. KMGY shows the taxiway lines but not the surface.

Paranoia mode on. This past weekend the server hosting REX, FSS and a few other websites was having problems. I placed an order on FlightSim Store Sunday morning (my time) and it seems to have gotten lost. Connection? Paranoia mode off.

hi Fabio, Consider price versus performance. Look at the benchmarks for the GTX970 and the GTX980 and ask yourself if paying the extra $220 is worth it. I bought a GTX970 back in November and it's more than able to run P3Dv2.4 without overheating. I can't comment on P3Dv2.5 as I don't have any scenery addons installed yet because of the change in file locations. And no OOMs so far. Have you tried the "UIAutomationCore.dll" trick with v2.5?

I have to agree and you already have it. As opposed to something you might think you need to understand VFR flying. Once you get through the lessons, you can concentrate on where you need more help. As far as planes, I like Lionheart Creation's Avelina. It's a strange electric single prop, great for doing the low and slow with no engine noise to disturb the tranquility. __ Jerry

I noticed that too. Once you turn the YD on it's on forever. I'm surprised at how poorly this airplane is coded. Service Pack should be huge if they bother to fix this plane.
