  1. Yeah, I get that, and I get that fans of this approach must find it bizarre why detractors like me nitpick about it, but the fact remains that it’s only ever replacing one globally uniform weather depiction with another. Simply knowing that makes the world less plausible.
  2. Which areas? I would have thought they’d announce any improvements to areas updated on the MSFS scenery servers?
  3. I’m interested in its passive mode, and allowing clearly debatable things to be dismissed as not debatable does neither the developers nor the users any good. Something I would imagine someone with your voluminous history of complaints on this forum would respect.
  4. They may stretch to the horizon, but not around the world.
  5. Oh, I bow to no man in my disappointment at what they did to the clouds in SU5/7, but the cumulus is at least an accurate choice some, if not much of the time, as opposed to the globally uniform type of the addons which is accurate precisely none of the time.
  6. This is what puts me off as well. It’s as expected, and as clearly understood but the videos and screenshots of the whole sky from horizon to horizon being exactly the same weather just seems so off. I get it does happen, but always and everywhere? I don’t know how people put up with it, but obviously many do, Cloud turbulence being added to passive mode would be a big draw for me, but the active mode’s permanently uniform skies look like a huge immersion minus.
  7. And another vid from the wonderful, indefatigable Tornado pilot CGAviator:
  8. I like a man who knows when it’s time to call it a day😅
  9. My question was specifically about turbulence in clouds which, looking at the text (thanks Allvega), it seems is not available in passive mode. Understandable as I’m guessing they can’t tell exactly where the clouds are when MSFS is managing them, but it’s kind of the last thing keeping me on the fence at the moment. Will keep an eye on the development.
  10. Does AS inject cloud turbulence into MSFS live weather’s clouds in passive mode?
  11. Does it add cloud turbulence to MSFS live weather in passive mode?
  12. Love CGAviator. Expertise and childlike enthusiasm in one package.
  13. I think I was hinting that boomers got their money very easily compared to the previous and following generations but look down on the following generations who are unlikely to ever experience the luxury of not needing or wanting (more) money.
  14. Another city update next month? I really would prefer more world updates…
  15. Found the boomer...(sorry, couldn't resist)
  16. Where does it get weather from for countries with no / few metars?
  17. Happy to see so many Asian airports in that list. Hoping that 2024 improves those parts of the world even more.
  18. I just like the idea of being in a global weather system, one where I can see weather in the distance and watch it approach or recede, or for me to go nearer or further away. Even though it makes no practical difference to my flight in Czech that the weather in Tanzania is different but part of the same framework, it helps my immersion to know that it is, and impedes my immersion to know that the weather I'm experiencing in one place is being repeated the world over. Daft, I know...
  19. With the historical weather, cloud turbulence and more ‘active’ atmosphere, this may be worth a punt even before we know more about 2024’s weather. Guess it’s down to the pricing now for me.
  20. Do you think the headphone simulation in msfs compares well to this experience?
  21. I've often wondered just how much noise the best headsets can cancel in real life, coz the headphone simulation in MSFS seems to cancel quite a lot.
  22. Very interesting, but wanna see what native 2024 can do first.
