  1. Hi to all the X-Plane enthusiasts, With all the recent HD mesh + Skymaxx Pro release for X-Plane, I am finally pull into X-plane website and download the demo version for a try. After playing around with the rendering settings, I want to see what will be the difference with HDR on. But the result is enough for me not to try the product any further. I have consider pretty high specification PC: Core i7 2700K, ATI 7950, 8mb DDR3 low latency RAM. I have tried every rendering options from low HDR AA, with combination of high AF and vice versa. Nothing seem to change. I have also play around with the texture resolution, cloud and world detail, no luck! Enclose are 2 screen shots, one with HDR off: And with HDR on: And this one in 3D cockpit mode with HDR on: The aircraft windscreen has all the line texture and clouds is pixelated. I would appreciate if any experience X-plane simmer can give me some advice. Thanks!
  2. My dl speed touch 4mb, last night reached 7mb sec Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk
  3. With that estimation figure. Every copy must sell at $600 price tag and get 50,000 simmer to place a 10% deposit toward the development? But then again do we even have 50,000 fsx simmer world wide?
  4. FSX it self is cheap, when you start adding add-ons to try and run it as stable and as real as possible, then you need to invest in high end CPU, Graphic card etc. Often these kind of investment can cost as much as from £600-1000. If you just want to have a stable and cheap simulating experience, I personally think Accusim C172 as add-on is OK and affordable. I use to be very frustrated as you until I completely upgrade my PC. Oh a piece of advice, don't download crack add-ons. These software/add-ons often contain viruses and can cause your fsx to crash. People here that has a stable FSX simulation experience buy genuine stuff. Unless they try to push the system to the limits.

  6. Thanks for the HU, been waiting for this update. :smile2:
  7. My landing light effect not showing probably in DX10 preview. Same with during final approach. Don't know if anyone experience the same.
  8. I have managed to found my fsx July 2013 backup file and done a full restore. Everything work well so far. Must have some dodgy sound file I installed recently that cause the CTD.
  9. Thanks for the advice Paul. But I already have the full latest version of Pete's fsuipc. It still has the g3d.dll error when I inject shade. Shame though, I suppose all fsx rig react differently.
  10. It is nice to have shade with DX10 + Bloom, but unfortunately it cause an g3d.dll error. Without injecting shade it work perfect.
  11. They are working on the first simulator atm. Hope they will work on FSX soon, it will take FSX to a whole new level. http://youtu.be/ipbtMJagv5o
  12. Thx for link, but the driver is not there for dl. Does this version 'solve' the DX10 spike issue on AMD cards?
  13. Strange no one mention anything about this new version out on Sept 30.2013 http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=381912 Those of you with an AMD card will be happy to learn that the latest RadeonPro beta now supports SweetFX and can run all the effects without relying on the InjectSMAA injector. This makes it easy to use with RadeonPros many other cool features, but most importantly this also works with 64bit executables, which the InjectSMAA injector that SweetFX currently ships with does not. It is however an AMD only tool otherwise I would probably have chosen to it as the default injector I develop SweetFX for. Changelog Version 1.5.1 LumaSharpen in 1.5 still had some experimental code activated when it should not have. Fixed that. Changed some code and settings to workaround a bug in SweetFX Configurator. The configurator should now work fine with SweetFX 1.5.1 The Custom shader now have some more interesting example code that inverts the luma of the image, and it now has an example setting. Version 1.5 New compatiblity mode allows some effects to run on really old cards that does not support Shader Model 3, but only 2. New Levels shader to allow people to easily set a new black and white point. New Explosion shader. Scatters the pixels similar to Irfanviews Explosion filter New Custom shader - a blank template already integrated into SweetFX, to make it even easier for people to write their own shaders New Vibrance setting "Vibrance_RGB_balance" allows people to set Vibrance per color component New border-width and border-color options for the Border shader Created two new curve formulas (9 and 10) Created a new ordered dithering algoritm with much better quality than the old one, while still being just as fast. - It also affects the compressibility of the screenshots and videos less. Improved the Cartoon shader. It should have better quality and be slightly faster now. New Splitscreen mode : Curvy. Wrote a new DX10 shader technique that will correctly bypass SMAA code when SMAA is disabled Wrote a new DX10 vertex shader that can generate texture coordinates without relying on the DXGI proxy to send it a position. Extra gamma corrections under DX10 is now only done when necessary, that is when both SMAA and another effect is enabled at the same time. Clamped output of Monochrome to ensure it never outputs shades that are out of range, even if the user used bad conversion values. Reworked some code to make it easier for myself to use GPU ShaderAnalyzer on the SweetFX shaders. Fixed problems with presets for older versions. SweetFX 1.5 should now be compatible with presets from all previous versions ( 1.0 to 1.5 ) Included a log.log with the installation to hopefully prevent some of the issues with create file permissions on Windows Vista and up. This log also contains information to resolve the problem that arises if the injector can't write to this log. Improved performance of the Border shader Improved performance of Lift Gamma Gain Improved performance of the random dithering algoritm Improved performance of Curves formula 4 and 8 Improved performance of LumaSharpen Improved performance of SMAA Improved performance of DPX Improved performance of Vignette
  14. Thanks for sharing your settings in RP Charles. Copied your settings and had a small fps improvement. However, I can't seem to see the OSD in game.
  15. Can you share your settings in RP, I'm curious what you have chosen in visual, Advance & tweaks TAB. Regards
  16. Never mind, just found out how to do it. Might be useful for future Saitek Quadrant owner, here is the method: To set the fuel levers, go into the FMC in the NGX and go to Menu>PMDG Setup>Options>Key Commands>Control Stand>(press)Next Page (button) and you will see "ENG 1 IDLE (shift+ctrl+F2)" "ENG 1 CUTOFF (shift+ctrl+F1)" "ENG 2 IDLE (shift+ctrl+F4)" ENG 2 CUTOFF (shift+ctrl+F3). Now go into FSUIPC and go to "Buttons+Switches". Move the Engine one cutoff switch all the way up, on the G737 and set that button in FSUIPC (check box-Select for key press) then click the "Set" button and type the "ENG 1 IDLE" hotkey combination in the box, then check the box "Key press not to be held" and go down and set "Press the key(s) to be sent when you release this button" to match the "ENG 1 CUTOFF" hotkey combination in the NGX FMC. Double check to be sure you have everything right and set ENG 2 the same way. It works beautifully! Also, the best thing to do with FSUIPC early on is to go to the FSUIPC.ini file in the FSX>Modules Folder, open it in "Notepad" and look for Profiles=No and change it to Profiles=Yes, then select "Save". Then make a profile for the NGX in the FSUIPC Options and Settings within FSX. Also use this to make custom profiles for all of your aircraft. That way whenever you load the NGX or other aircraft, all of your controllers will be custom pre-set. Do this before you make any other settings. Credit to Signmanbob post in mycockpit.org
  17. Hi all, I have been trying to assign the 3 buttons on my Saitek Quadrant to use via fsuipc to toggle PMDG737 engine idle/cutoff lever but without success. After google search the closest method by manipulating the FSUIPC offsets for the fuel valves. (In the Buttons/Keys drop-down, assign to the "Offset Byte Bet" control, offset x3590 (for Engine 1) etc, Parameter 1 for "idle", 0 for "cutoff") But the above method doesn't seem to work with Saitek throttle Quadrant. If any Saitek Quadrant users have work out how to assign the buttons, please share. Regards.
  18. Interesting topic. I am having the same issue on my 2700K, lowered to 4.6ghz for now. Will try and tweak it again when I got the time. But my cpu only 2 months old, begin to wonder it may be the mobo not suitable for overclocking...
  19. Thx for the HU, didn't know this until now. @ Charles, do you have Radeon Pro? Look like there is plenty of tweaks to play with. If you can please enclose some pictures here when you done with it. I like to compare the tweaks I have selected. Regards.
  20. I'm running my i7 2700K at 4.80ghz on Noctua D14 Howard. And it seem all stable after 8+ hour on prime95 stress test.
  21. Is your PC overclocked? Is yes you may want to lower your clock speed. I have been trying to tweak my i7 2700K to 4.8ghz lately and I get plenty of these.
  22. hmm...is more of a toy than "Simulator".
