  1. Anyone got this working with Prepar3d version of the 777?
  2. Does this option in the ini still work with this release? [sDK] EnableBroadcastData=1 I have some addons that rely on this but they are complaining that I haven't set the option. Tried restarting P3D and the addons a few times but not joy. Anyone have ideas?
  3. Working for me in 8.1. Installed outside of program files though if that helps.
  4. Re head movement issue: see here for a way to stop it: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/topic/how-to-disable-dynamic-head-movement/ I haven't tried this myself yet, but I had it noted down for future use (for when this day would come)
  5. For the beta testers - how easy was it to get your addons into 2.5? With the new folder structure and re install, can we expect addon installers to still work? What exactly changes in the folder structure? Anything that won't work anymore and we have to wait for updated installers?
  6. Great news! Been waiting so long for this.. Off to the store now
  7. That's the FSX "overstressed". It's meant for default planes. Most addon developers develop the aircraft with real parameters that don't tie in with the default "overstressed" options. Alot of the damage options best to turn off. Even crash detection is a problem, because many scenery addons have invisible things that trigger a crash.
  8. Aerosoft downloads section, lots of stuff
  9. Interesting because transponder mode works for me. He pops up the 2d. I'll have to double check it worked through next flight. V speed callouts work but I set them myself in MCE window. Are you saying it will update automatically?
  10. iFly 737 is a complete systems sim - but the VC is not good compared to PMDG. iFly 747v2 is out now - but has some FPS issues for people reported. PMDG - now it won't be long now 777 is in testing for P3D, and the others (NGX, 747v2) are to follow. Q400 Majestic Dash 8 - is awesome and works great in P3D, much better than Aerosoft, and on par or better than PMDG in my opinion. My advice would be to get the Dash 8 now, then get PMDG in a few weeks as well for the jets. If you can't wait and don't want to buy a Turboprop - then consider the Aerosoft to hold you over. Alternatively there are several Retro jet options..
  11. Hi All, I noticed I got some pretty bad blurries in 2.4. I didn't think you needed to tweak in Prepar3d but I had an open mind today! I tried someone elses settings from ORBX forum who has gone through the tweaking process, the end result I have to say was a great success. I haven't tried any really long flights to see if VAS is ok, but in terms of blurries they are gone. Your mileage may vary, but worth a try. It took me only 10 minutes to backup my cfg and try the new settings: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/88427-p3d-the-ultimate-settings/ The only things I didn't apply were the affinity mask, left at default, and the anti-aliasing I dont need much.. Hope it helps someone else like it helped me. Cheers
  12. Hi What does this do in the settings? Also can we make it easy to change and remember the setting? Going from 18000 to 10000 takes alot of clicks Thanka
  13. Hi, A couple of things with the Majestic Q400 not working with latest Majestic patch 1012 and Prepar3d 2.4: 1. After MCE has touched the flaps, the state of the flaps is not recognised by addons anymore: a) I couldn't request MCE to retract them on climb b) RAAS didn't recognise my flaps config and gave warnings c) My VA ACARs system didn't record flaps retraction on takeoff when it usually does without MCE d) MCE refuse to put flaps down in approach flow and refuse to put them up after landing. It's like it couldn't access them anymore. 2. I can command SEATBELTS OFF by voice, various combinations work. However the VoxScript fails to execute this command. I tried various combinations, all using the GUI and the test never executed these. 3. Voice test button doesn't work in the GUI when configuring copilot etc. Not a big deal. Could be related to Win 8.1 64bit. Unfortunately this is all a fresh install so I can't say any particular thing causes these (windows, prepar3d or whatever). I have been flying without MCE prior to this and only just started using it again recently. Other than the above, all Q400 flows and commands I have working well and have built my custom flows it works great. Thanks!
  14. Yeah, I've heard RNPs great for saving fuel, allowing airlines to stay in idle from TOD to touchdown. But we don't pay for fuel do we It was your training vids that made me investigate Navigraph actually. I'm still on the fence.. it would be nice to have a single source though instead of going through 10 different shortcuts to find the charts I need - and the different formats that each country has their free charts in. Do you find the formatting of the charts in Navigraph cloud fairly consistent between locations? Or do some areas have Jepp charts stored whereas others might have other provides or even the free AIP charts stored? If it's consistent, it would be nice. Even if RNP are not included.
  15. Navigraph charts look ok but in the demo I saw its missing all the RNP plates.. For Australian airports anyway. Is this the same across the board? Or do you guys just not bother with RNP approaches since they are a bit boring anyway?
  16. iFly and PMDG are totally different aircraft, they're NGs But I do understand the Milviz choice for the 737classic, it is a good aircraft. I guess I chose the wrong one for the 737 classic.. I think CS looks nicer, but has bugs in the FDE. Anyway, it's not a big deal. You've done a great job on the CS 707 and 727 already! I don't fly the classics that much and the 707 is preferred.
  17. Hi All, I've been away for a while, and see the CS 707 & 727 have some good scripts. Does anyone know is the CS 737 also working? Any scripts for it? Cheers
  18. It's an excellent product. I have theirs for the A320. They are working on more after this.
  19. Thanks, I think I'll do it with the linked OFP method. I can't justify all the extra time needed to create every registration inside TOPCAT just to be able to balance the payload.
  20. Thanks guys and thanks Kyle you did answer another assumption I made that I can't send to FSX with complex planes, even the Airbus doesn't allow for that either. Small clarification of my question though - when I meant "Send To" I was talking about the "Send to -> TOPCAT" that happens after releasing the flight plan. Not sending from TOPCAT to FSX. I'm asking are you happy with the calculations added into the OFP before the plan is released (when you click the calculate takeoff/landing buttons after compute) - or do you have to go all the way into topcat by using the Send To as well? The reason I ask is because the calculate and add to OFP functions work without creating registrations in TOPCAT (whereas the Send To doesn't), my thinking is if I can do it this way only, then I don't need to go through all the work of setting up every livery in TOPCAT. But I want to know am I missing out on anything doing it this way only, or if my thinking is missing something here. Ahh missed this, thanks so it seems the OFP part would be missing this information, and we have to use the Send To Topcat to get the complete set of information? One question though - why use the total fuel from TOPCAT instead of PFPX? Or does it work out being the same? I have the TOPCAT performance module against my PFPX aircraft, but I don't have a matching registration setup in TOPCAT (But the tutorials say that I should). Are you saying it's OK to do it this way? OFP method saves time instead of using send to topcat?
  21. Hi All, Just got TOPCAT in advance of the 777 release (P3D), and looking at the 2 different integrations. Do you guys use the "Send To" function, or do you find it's sufficient just to run the takeoff and landing calculate and append it into the OFP? Would I be missing much to just use the OFP based calculated data and not opening TOPCAT? Also I noticed this seems to work without requiring creation of all the aircraft in TOPCAT, I think it just uses the PFPX data in this case is that correct? Thanks
  22. Just got response from the developer about future plans, they are working on iFly 747v2, and then on Majestic Q400. So there will be 5 CDUs available in the long run, although I'm waiting for the PMDG 747v2 and hoping they will do the CDU for that as well.
