Tired of graphic issues, spending more time tweaking that flying, stutters, having to trade eye candy for smoothness. My 4770k running at 4.5GHZ and gtx780 with an SSD for FSX surely helped but still... Loved some features of X-Plane 10 but missed a bunch more from FSX, and vicecersa. Theres no perfect flight simulation software as of 2014. I recently decided to sell my trackir 5, yoke and rudder pedals on ebay because it was just sitting there.. Perhaps I will be back one day if Microsoft truly decides to make a new Flight Simulation Program, (aka not another microsoft flight) I have heard some news about it, and I think nobody else can give us the best simulator. FSX was the best thing in 2006, but lets say it's now outdated. Computers these days are 16 times more powerful than they were 8 years ago according to Moore's law, so I will be back, when a better more optimized simulator is made..

Some bloom and/or HDR without bleaching the wings or body of the aircraft, but that enhances how clouds look. More or less.

Interested in DX10 presets, ENB looked goon in DX9, but now that I have switched (and btw best anti aliasing ever Adi thank you very good work), I need a good preset. So far I can't get it right.

Ladies and gents!!! After tuning it up I gotta say that.........It looks and feels amazing!!! I got blown away by how this thing looks especially at night with the HDR effect. WOW! All the sliders set at around 80% with the shadow detail at 3d on aircraft, HDR on with 2xSSAA + FXAA anti-aliasing (higher has a high performance impact, while FXAA only has too many flickers for my taste), clouds 85% and I get around 30-40 fps, I gotta add that my resolution is 1440p. 3D Cockpit shadows have some jaggies and I dont know how to minimize this. And I love the sloped runways very nice. I'm definitely pulling the trigger..

Thank you all. Well I downloaded the demo and cranked all up. 10fps wow. AlthoughI didnt have enough time to play with it. I activated HDR and put the reg anti aliasing to the max and later I read that they conflict each other impacting the frame rate. Like I said I havent had enough time to test it but when I get home I will work with it. Thank you for your response. Truth is I sim a lot in tubeliners. Doing 2-6 hr hauls. However I find myself doing GA as well sometimes so I enjoy both. Are they releasing xplane 10.3? I dont get what you mean by GSN430/530 units. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tired about FSX crashes, micro-stutters, low FPS etc. So im thinking about giving xplane a try with their demo. I got a very good system 4770k paired with gtx 780 and 16gb of fast ram so I guess I could crank all sliders to the max. Is this Demo going to give me a clear idea regarding graphics, smoothness and flight dynamics of what xplane is going to be if I buy it? What are its pros and cons versus FSX? I think is a bit too dark. You can try using different palettes but imo the one from Gabriel Teles is the most realistic one.

I got the Qnix 27" Led from Ebay for $270. Its 2560x1440 res and it overclocks, mine is siting @100Hz. Panning is a breeze. Just my .02

Completed a flight from KMIA to KIAD without issues. KB2670838 must be uninstalled when running FSX in DX10 + Sweetfx. Thanks for the help!
