I like the Carbon Cub most as it is so cute. It is so small but is flying like a big one. With working flaps and nav- and landing lights. And i have nothing to do with the companies!

Will the Carbon Cub SS have a cockpit? Didn't see one in the trailer :-( ... hoping, as it has a lot of paint schemes also.

Hi, please correct the headline! It is Cub not Cup! To see the Carbon Cub SS for Flight, after the Icon A5 is just amazing, as I recently purchased both of them! ;-) Ok, only out of hard foam. The painting of the Carbon Cup SS is excactly the same as in FLIGHT. Seems that the manufactures of both aircraft have a good marketing strategy to arouse interest in their aircrafts. Please give us a Discus 2c, Ventus, ASG29, Duo Discus, Arcus, or whatever glider for towing!!!!

Haha, just got another coffee! Who needs work! Go on folks. For me it is absolutely comprehensible that people are talking about Flight and FSX in both forums. As so many people are bahing against Flight, it is only fair to let people write about their experiences with FSX. What I notice is that the bashing against Flight is decreasing from day to day. For me Flight with its smoothness is stunning every time i fire it up.

Same here. I had to lower one graphic slider from max to high (and I love the mirror of clouds and mountains in the water, esp. at dawn). I then disabled v-Sync and the FPS seems good again. But panning around fast, the picture is a little bit jumping. :-( What should I upgrade? i5 750 running at 3.7 Ghz 12GB RAM DDR3 1333 560 ti twin frozer 500GB Samsung Spin Point F3 Prob. the i5? to an 2500? Please help!

With the update i had impact on my fps. Had to go down from max to high. But disable vsync improves it without having the bad stuttering.

How could you? The more as you are a glider pilot like me and are flying Condor. Condor without TrackIR is nothing! Go and buy it! Go Go Go !!!

I can understand all these people who are in favour of FSX, as they have spent a lot of money for it. That was exactly the same when FSX came out and a lot of people said they would always stick to FS9. Well guys, time will tell. ;-)

... in my opinion the Flight screenshots look much better, but what counts the most is SMOOOOOOOOOTHNESS! I am no longer willing to stutter around the world, after hours and hours of tweeking and waiting for flights to be loaded. I do not want to know how much of my lifetime was already wasted in sitting in front of this loading screen of FSX. Never again! I love Flight so far and I think that it we all should be very happy that Flight exists.

Looks like I can push the remaining graphics settings to maximum, as there are much less trees and objekts around in Alaska. For now, the highest fan speed of my GPU is caused by the huge amount of trees on eg. Kauai or north-east of Maui. Can't wait to climb in a Tundra Piper Cub or a Beaver!

Is the trackir 5 worth it? I still have trackir 4 which is a little broken but working well.

Great news! MS you made my day!! What will the mixed weather theme be like? Changing or different in different areas? Will there be snowstorms in Alaska? Just thinking about purchasing trackir 5 or is my trackir 4 more or less the same? Cant wait!!

1. Smoothness! 2. Loading procedures, only a few seconds. I do not want to know how many hours I had to watch the "loading" message in FSX. 3. I love not to see the landing strips miles ahead. Finding them is a challenge (without always tapping M). 4. Moving trees, sun flickering through them at dusk or dawn. Beautiful fog transitions. 5. Walking around your aircraft. But the most impressive thing for me was the sound (outside view!) when changing the RPM under full throttle from high (Ctrl + F4) to low (Ctrl + F1) and contrariwise. Just awesome and 100% realistic. That's the sound the prop makes during the RPM test procedures before takeoff. The most negative Wow effect, and I mean that negative, I could not really believe that it has been intentional: 1. No TrackIR, even since every low budget model flight sim supports TrackIR 2. No cockpits. If I had to choose, I'd prefer no external views, than non cockpit views. 3. No control input settings, I hate those unrealistic dead zones and disproportional/ expo curves. 4. To realise that i am addicted to check twice a day if Alaska is released.

On FB MS Flight postet that there will be basic and deluxe aircrafts. Meaning with and without VC. Give me all of those deluxe aircrafts and you can have my money instantly :-) the basic only in a "deal of the week" bundle on Steam.

Just how I found most aerocaches. Use the P51 F9 view and zoom in as much as you can. You will see the rotating AC miles ahead, while autogen is still missing :) I know its a bit cheaty, but its Great Fun

Thx, i have Steam for some other games, and I am expecting those cockpitless toys in a bundle on Steam for not more than 3,99 € in a few weeks. At this price I would give it a try.

as I only have the Live version installed. I thought I can, but on Steam they say that you have to have the Steam version of Flight?

For me and my NVIDIA 560 ti twin frozer it gave me nothing but micro stutters. I installed the previous one, and everything runs smooth again.

I am a little amused that MS releases again a cockpitless warbird, actively knowing, by more than 200 posts of there customers, that almost nobody is interested in any cockpitless plane and also the majority is not interested in warbirds. At least not if you cannot use the guns. So i beg all of you not to buy as money seems to be the only thing that counts. The more as you need not to buy the plane to watch it flying from the outside. You can just follow some other Multiplayer dude who bought it. Than i even do not have to mess around with steering ;-) Nevertheless I love Flight, the RV6 the Maule and the Stearman. The weather and graphics are just awesome. So much more fun than any other sim. And i hope that the guy responsible for developing cockpitless warbirds will retire soon, or will be moved to the Alaska dev team.
