  1. Many thanks Hal and Gerold I never flew in this plane, but I heard them practicing in the 1970s
  2. Wow, Jack, so happy to see you back here !!
  3. Ok, the Mig 21 never flew this route, but the Fiat G91 Gina and the F104G flew it very often in my day. I was allowed to fly in the two-seater Starfighter twice back then thanks to my Luftwaffe Jet Passenger Card. Above Fürstenfeldbruck as it no longer exists today Thanks for viewing
  4. Wow, great shots of this beauty !! And the office looks stunning too.
  5. Thanks a lot for commenting, Will, PM and P_7878 !!
  6. Excellent shots, Ryan. When the Cub was released I thought that we already have quite a few similar looking aircraft in our sim and most of them are faster too. But after seeing your post here, I got tempted 😃
  7. Great post and thanks for the story about Steinbeck, P_7878! I remember that we two had a discussion about him a few years back already in one of your posts. If I had to choose just one of his many books, it would definitely be "Travels with Charley: In search of America". By the way, and I hope I remember this correctly, when he arrived in Monterey on this trip, he was so upset seeing these huge crowds of tourists (and this was in 1960 🙂), that he almost "fled" through the Mojave Desert and Arizona and only stopped, once he had arrived in Texas. 😃
  8. Nice repaint !!
  9. Cool shots, Jan. If all those shots are from MSFS, where did you get the B-24 from? 🙂
  10. Above the city of Rheine I pass by a nuclear power plant I have now reached the North Sea. Here I am above one of the North Sea islands called Norderney Above the city of Kiel, partly home to the German Navy It’s a bit boring at FL400 So let’s go back to FL100 I have passed the island Rügen and am on my way to Peenemünde On final into Peenemünde Thanks for viewing
  11. Many thanks Just-66 and Hal. I hope that Hal's link to Wikipedia answers Just-55 question
  12. Thanks a lot for your kind comment, P_7878
  13. Great shots and it's nice to see this old livery on a new plane 🙂
  14. That's a good question. It was a mixture of technical problems (she was a rather complex beast), lack of funds and regulatory requirements by US aviation authorities, once those repairs were finished.
  15. Thank you all for your kind comments, it's much appreciated!!
  16. I think, we keep it simple and stick to what we are used to 🙂
  17. Over 90 years ago, on August 27, 1931, the Dornier Do X became visible over New York at around 11 am. To this day, the arrival of the "DO X" in New York is considered a milestone in aviation history. Here it goes past LaGuardia Before landing on the Hudson, the plane was allowed to fly around the Statue of Liberty The Do X remained in New York until spring 1932, the crew returned to Germany by ship. Our ship is the Majestic of the White Star Line, which was launched in 1914 as the Bismarck Thanks for viewing
  18. Cool shots and a great livery, Darryl !! Did you create it?
  19. Sorry, but no 😃😃 But the screenies are very nice. P_7878, despite the skin!
  20. Thanks a lot, P_7878 and Darryl! OMDB is really huge, I agree. I wonder, how much bigger the new version is going to be. I really hope that some day Just Flight will bring their version of these iconic birds to MSFS, so that we have a proper vc again.
