Along the Indian-Tibetan border
The mountains around me look quite impressive, but none of them are higher than 5,300 meters
I am now in Chinese/Tibetan airspace. In front of me lies Mapam Yumco Lake, which is one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world and one of the three sacred lakes of Tibet. It is 4,583m above sea level, has an area of 412km² and is around 70 meters deep. "Mapam" means "invincible" in Tibetan, "Yumco" means "lake of jade"
