  1. Cool screenies, buddy !!
  2. Many thanks for your kind comments, gents !! No, Gerold, that was not me, but it was fitting, so I put it here πŸ™‚
  3. Excellent trip, P_7878. Isn't it fantastic that we can use today MSFS to relive some fond memories from days gone by. I do the same all over Asia and although the countryside is not (yet, I hope for MSFS 2024) as detailed as the US and parts of Europe in MSFS, it's good enough for me to relive part of my past travels πŸ™‚
  4. We take off from Bugalaga in the Indonesian part of New Guinea and fly to a little known airstrip called Tomosiga Tomosiga comes up in the distance The strip at Tomosiga is 370 m long, at a 2,700 ft elevation and comes with several slopes and ondulations It is slightly S-shaped with a rather narrow center section. The ground is always a bit slippery and of course, in places like this, there is no go around! The place opened in 2019. Hard to believe, but it took some 31 years to be built and it is still today a work in progress Every single piece of equipment had to be brought up there through the jungle by hand. Appologies for the poor picture quality, they are from a 1991 video Reality vs. MSFS Thanks for viewing
  5. Cool shot, Andy. I know what you mean with the huge size of some of the liveries. They are usually in 8K. I am not a rivet counter, so I don't need 8K. That is why I normally bring those down to 4K and half the size by using Photoshop. Takes me less than 5 minutes.
  6. That looks really good, many thanks Jan !!
  7. Interesting screenies, P_7878. The scenery and the plane look really nice.
  8. Great shot, Andy. Strange that you had a CTD, when approaching one of the GAIST ships. That Milviz F-86 is a marvel in MSFS.
  9. Thank you very much Gerold for your comment, it's much appreciated !!
  10. Many thanks for your kind comments P_7878, PMP, John and Will !
  11. Wonderful colors in your shots, P_7878 and thanks for the interesting narration!!
  12. Thank you, John. I couldn't have said it better πŸ™‚πŸ™‚
  13. It's a beautiful bird, P_7878 and I think the Orbit color scheme looks really good on it. I'm not sure, whether I remember correctly, but didn't FedEx even opt to replace the avionics of their A310 fleet with modern ones, so they could extend their service life?
  14. Great shots, P_7878. With a bit of practise it's not so difficult to master it. I'm actually quite happy that we have default planes that are far better than the ones we had in FSX, P3D and XP11.
  15. Great shots and this seems to be a nice add-on πŸ™‚
  16. It’s early morning as we prepare for departure with D-ALIN D-ALIN gained fame, as our first chancellor Konrad Adenauer flew with this plane to Moscow in Sept. 1955 (his first visit to Russia ever) to successfully negotiate ten years after WWII the release of over 100.000 POWs from Russian prison camps When he entered the flightdeck on this flight, Adenauer hit his head at the door frame, so the captain was wiping off some blood from his forehead Above Macau The Ha Long Bay looks better in real life We have reached Yangoon Bangkok and the Chao Phraya River, which is of course not blue Along the Malaysian East Coast near Terengganu Meanwhile we have reached Singapore Thanks for viewing
  17. Unexpected indeed, hahaha. You can also get your tent under the wing of a Boeing πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
  18. Many thanks buddy !!
  19. Many thanks for your comments, my friends!! I didn't know, he lives there πŸ˜€
  20. My very first flight in the Dash 7 Into Long Beach Along Huntington Beach And Laguna Beach Torrey Pines is a Marine Conservation Area La Jolla, we are getting closer to San Diego Sea World We were still able to see Shamu perform here Balboa Park. In the basement of the building right in front of my plane is a huge model train exhibition. I must have been there at least five times πŸ™‚ Thanks for viewing
  21. Very nice tour, P_7878, and you took it low and slow to get the most out of it πŸ™‚
  22. Excellent shots, buddy!
  23. Great story and fine shots, P_7878!
  24. Great shots and welcome to the "new" 737 world, P_7878.and I'm happy to hear that you enjoy it. I have the same plane and like it a lot. As PM said, it's an easy plane to fly and I wish you many happy hours in it πŸ™‚
  25. Thanks Gerold, next time, you pass through our lovely town, let's meet by all means. First round of beers is on me (maybe the second and third one too πŸ™‚). With the conversions it's nowadays a hit and miss. You'll find on YT plenty of videos how to convert from FSX/P3D to MSFS and what tools to use. I found that planes I loved to fly also in MSFS like the converted Tu-114, suddenly all gauges stopped working and the entire panle is just an annoying big grey block. Although there are still quite a few birds that work, don't expect them to fly as the real MSFS planes do. And nowadays we have so many planes to choose from in MSFS, that I rarely go back to my old conversions.
