  1. Hello, after installing my new graphics card I am no longer able to start p3d and get a fatal error. I used guru3d driver uninstaller to remove old drivers before Installing the newest drivers for the 980. After the installation completed, I started p3d and got the fatal error. I removed prepar3d.cfg to let it rebuild but did not fix the issue.. I then completely removed all the files from the appdata/roaming/lockheedmartin/prepar3d v3 folder as well as everything from appdata/roaming/LockheedMartin/prepar3d v3/shaders folder. I think that made it work, I was able to restart p3d few times without problems (I had trouble with some scenery) and the error is now back.

    Thank you for any help.

    Here is my crashview report

  2. There is at least one user I know of who is using it on a 2nd PC.  It will work using the wide-client of FSUIPC or XPUIPC.  The problem will be that the microphone/headphones for the voice will need to connect to the 2nd PC.  If your Sim PC is playing the engine sound, etc over it's speakers, this might work OK.  The second issue is the joystick button will need to be on a device plugged into the 2nd PC as well.  The person using 2 pcs is using a "button box" plugged into the 2nd PC.

    You could also use a HotKey on a keyboard on  the second pc or even a separate joystick.  The downside, for now, is that I don't know how you could use the mic button on your yoke or flying joystick. This is an enhancement on the roadmap, but not available now.

    Dave

    You can send button press on joystick via widefs, would that work for you?

  3. Just to comment on what Guenseli has said about proatcx......... there are people in the forum including myself who provide help to those who have questions to ask. So I disagree with the statement that there is no support.

    The developer is currently working on completing the next version of proatcx and hopefully we will see it released soon. From my understanding the next version will be well worth waiting for.

    I have personally used proatcx myself since july 2012 and have recorded voices for the pilots, copilots and controllers heard in proatc.

    There are issues with proatc but most of them have workarounds which are mentioned in the forum.

    Roy

    Roy the thing that gets me is why a developer would do this to ruin his reputation? I own pro atc x and I like the progrqm for what it is but user to user support and the dev not showing in the forums notvproviding updates etc.. is it worth it? If next update comes out that will be great but its still speculation and what if hes still not around to offer support after release? If I was looking to purchase the program now j7st for those reasons I would go with someone else..

  4. Top = Orbx

    Next = Addon Airports

    Next = UTX

    Next = Default

    This is without mesh and Landclass - you did not mention if you did

    Well UTX comes with landclass doesnt it? I see an entry for it. Actually 3 different entries, custom, urban, vegetation then there is another one (europe only) should i group all these together?

    I downloaded the scenery configuration tool but it doesnt show me any of my addon scenery. Just the default.

  5. This is frustrating, I think I got same issue here, but i'm still confused.. I enabled ftx global, it put 2 different items into the scenery library. I ended up putting them on very top then, utx usa and Canada then airports, and  then the default fsx entries. Can someone enlighten me? I'm not home right now so I cannot try it but should I move the ftx global entries below the utx ones? I disabled the utx lighting. Thank you for any help.

  6. [quote name="I agree that FTX would be doing themselves and us a favor by converting FTX Global to X-Plane 10/64bit, but I doubt if they will listen.

    I, for one, would buy it again.

    I'm pretty sure orbx and p3d are partnered up in some way. I wouldint be surprised to see global be included with p3d v2. I might be wrong but we can only hope.

  7. Gents-

    The fellow is an antagonist looking for attention.

    Ignore...

    Don't hand feed the trolls...

    Etc...

    Neil-

    The galley/cabin service vehicles are interchangeable, and depending upon the airline the galley service will enter on the left to deconflict the staging of onload freight behind the left wing.

    For the purpose of simmers, it doesn't matter- which I'm sure you are aware.

    Do you want to continue this game?

    Please- let us not pretend that my choice of words created your original post about a "worldwide standard."

    Sorry Im not following.. Maybe I misunderstood the person I quoted. Sorry..

  8. Here is why: I have been at this business a long time... I won't bore you with the details, but at one point in my career I was one of the key operational managers over the largest daily collection of 777s anywhere on the planet... (wow... that was a long time ago...holy smokes...)

    How old is the picture in your avatar? You dont look THAT old lol
