  1. Have any of you genius' have figured out how to get all the panel gauges to work without having to run the dome light? It just ruins flying this great aircraft at night. Any help appreciated. I have to switch to the older Carebeo Baron at night.

  3. Back on FSX:Steam more during this lock down. Since Sim flying around 1998 I've logged 1400+ hours in GA props from Piper Arrow to 421/441. Have several (mostly) Carabeao A/C's have many likes and dislikes about each one with favorite being the 310R. But since the night flying requires having the dome light on I switch to the Pipers and beech's for night flight. However, I dusted off and pulled chocks from the RealAir Duke the other day and was reminded how well behaved and near perfect these aircrafts are. Everything works. Ground handling is a breeze. all the buttons and switches are legible and easy to manipulate. Kudos to the RealAir guys for making such an outstanding product! )
  4. If the graphics are at least equal to the Alabeo 310R, then I'll be the first in line to get this bird. I have no doubt the flight dynamics will be good.
  5. Has anyone figured out how to get ALL the gauges lit without having to have the entire cockpit / dome light on yet?
  6. 310R (Alenado/Carebeo). It's workin now. In preflight I basically just cycled the tank levers ....? dunno
  7. For some reason the fuel defaults to draining the right tank (mains) instead of automatically cross feeding..?

  9. " "What you are seeing is correct! If Unit1 is the active navigation device, BOTH units will tell you that!" missed this earlier. Thanks for this confirmation. I can stop chasing this rabbit..It's not logical though. unit 1 should say unit 1 and unit 2 should say unit 2. avoids confusion..
  10. I can't mouse over the SIM card slot on both units at the same time for a picture to show but . Even after properly Flight1 configured as GTN650 unit1 and GTN unit2, they both (when moused over) say "Active nav source unit 1 click right to change"? I did get the FREQ to change COM to NAV as you pointed out. Thanks. The 2nd unit DOES display different NAV Frequencies as the other. I've noticed the second unit is very slow clicking and screen changing.. Another interesting thing the new GTN Complete (750/650) does is create another Panel file "panel XgaugeWizard.cfg. along with the panel. Are we supposed to now modify both the panel.cfg AND panel XgaugeWizard.cfg to duplicates? The only mods I made were in the panel.cfg.. Thanks again for the assistance
  11. Bert, Perfect timing, brother. I was JUST now struggling with that. Middle wheel changes from Com to NAV - check.. Next. Why do both units , when you hover the mouse over the blue tab/button (under the COM/push squelch). say "Active nav source unit 1 click right to change"??? and Yes they were properly configured in the Flt1 CFG as unit unit 2 respectively. Then rebooted. When you right click on either BOTH change to unit 2. I'm chasing my tail on this
  12. Bert, Perfect. That's exactly what I want to do. But I can't get the 650 to change to and display the NAV frequencies. I actually did by mistake but it changed back to COM which I don't need or prefer for the second 650... Thanks
  13. Thank you... Yes re: the second button as you described Com1/Nav1 for 650 unit 1 and Com2/Nav2 for 650 unit 2. but they do NOT work independently. despite.. I'm using the freeware version of FSUIP4. I think I'm going to just use the 650's as substitutes for stock 430's along with analog stock nav/vor2 avionics provided. I will use my beloved gtn750 where the A/C allows good integration into the panel with proper backlighting etc...
  14. Dane, Thanks for the reply. So as mentioned I now have the F1 GTN Complete which adds the 650 to my already existing 750..Heres the new problem. I can't get the two 650s to work independently Using the Flt1 Config I've set up 650 unit to be unit 1 and 650 unit 2 to of course be unit 2. but they are either both as GPS or both as VLOC or 'NAV". I like to run GPS with my 750 (650) unit 1 and sometimes switch to NAV VOR1.. for grins. BUT I want to have the second unit setup as NAV/VOR2. But I haven't found a way to achieve this. Spent the last 2 days reconfiguring panels for my faves.. the Care-Baron 58 2 650's, Care-C340 2 650s, Care-V35b one 650 along with Nav VOR2 old school backup.. I'm gonna leave the Carebeo-310R alone as it works just fine with 1 750. After playing with it.. Im also not real keen on the 650 but it works well in the F33, V35..
  15. pardon my ignorance but do we leave the rest of the Vcockpit03. gauges 3 thru 10 still in on the above. I would think wed lose the rest like the annunciator , gem etc. whatever else is in that vcockpit. please clarify. i just got the gtn759 complete which includes the 750 AND 650. I also think we could substitute the gtn 650 in many Carenado panels with existing 530. 430 gps’s
  16. I tried this. I didn't mind the line. but some buttons didn't work on the 750. especially the popup button was ineffective. It looked great though. I also tried Bert's double GTN650 setup but in my case not having the 650 I used two gtn750s with Bert's resizings. but I couldn't get that to work either. I'm back to the GTN750 stack and run it on a second monitor. Along with an occasional AVIDYNE I copied from the 441 Conquest.
  17. Nice. Had buddy that owned an MG Midget, 2 MGB's (pre ugly bumpers 71 or older) and an Austin Healey Sprite, Austin Healey 3000. A cousin that had a Sunbeam Tiger. I owned a lovely 1972 Triumph TR-6 factory roll bar and overdrive. LED would ruin those cars...

  20. please explain textures settings I'm willing to tweak.. .. FWIW. I don't hate the Milviz and respect the efforts. As 310 guy if there weren't Alabeo avail then the Milviz would be my main plane as it was for years. Some of the features I still very much like. Pop up throttles for example and the AP is much better than the old 400b that Alabeo employs. Both have GTN750 integration. but the interior (specifically dash and gauges where one gives most of his attention in flight) isn't up to par with the Carabeo. I had high hopes with the redux upgrade.
