  1. show me some videos of whats being worked on and taking so long to finish LOL - I'd be more interested in that, myself. anyway.

    +1

Appreciating the love here :) lol - I just can check for updates for so long, then I get angry lol

Anyone know why the first version - kicks out of AP and does a vertical dance? -- I tried it 3 times and gave up.

  2. Hi Rob. Thanks. Are you saying to stop Precision X, install ENB, and then restart Precision X? Regards, Bob.

    Hey Bob,

nope. This is what you need to try. First off, you can just unload Precision X and then install ENB and test. see if that works for you. If it does and you see no crashes, then close everything and follow these steps.

Look for EVGA Onscreen display server - in the bottom right hand corner where the time is and open that app. You will see RIVATUNER - click the Top right wrench icon - to get into the advanced settings and look for the line of text that reads - "compatibility with 3rd party Runtime Dll's" check mark that box.

Then you can close Rivatuner and then load Precision back in and ENB and FSX :) That should do the trick, did for me. I haven't crashed ONCE since I did this.

    Thanks

hope this helps you and others!

    Enjoy!

    Rob

Took me days to figure this fix out :)

(Avsim... Sorry for noting prices here, but I was asked ;))

    Best regards

    Finn

    Thank you, Finn!

I actually found that after I posted this message and I thanked you guys for your customer service stance in options for people that have already just purchased Airbus x V1 - I think that is a VERY SMART move, indeed.

When I look at those prices, I feel happy and will have no problem purchasing more items from a company that cares about it's customer's :)

    Great job guys !!

    I commend your team :)

    Thanks again for the info

    Rob

  4. Being one of developers on the Airbus X version 1, as well as having put some small stuff into the extended versions, may I please make something clear ?....

Airbus X V1 was never told to be a highend addon. We even told that numerous times before and after release. The goal was to make an addon available for those who didn´t want (or rather have time - family, work - You know !) to read a 400 page manual. So system wise it was planned from start to finish to be "Light", but with the best graphics possible to make in FSX.

Problem was that even those who constantly asked, and where answered, still appaeread after release and bashed about stuff we never promised, and actually clearly told we would NOT do.

Well after Airbus V1 Aerosoft saw that there where potential in the Airbus X V1 to be enhanced towards the more advanced flightsimmers needs, and work started on that.

While it won´t be as detailed regarding failures, wear and tear like the PMDG 737 NGX, it will be a far cry from V1 (please see the link below).

What you will find are an overhaul of almost all aircraft systems.

Some of those that was simplified in V1 has been coded from scratch and new systems added, like:

    -Autopilot (Most realworld functions added)

-FMGS (MCDU) - (SID/STAR, Airways etc, etc...)

    -ADIR (IRS system)

    -New ND with curved lines

-FBW (Totally customcoded and like said elsewhere - You dont want to make autolands with this smoothness)

    -Autoland

-FADEC with much more accurate behaviour

-Updated models and textures, both in the VC and exteriour (We didn´t knew it could become better, but it really have)

And definitly some items more that I can´t remember.

The Airbus X Extended is not a Servicepack or Update to the Airbus X V1 it´s very much a standalone product.

But for further discussion about Airbus vs FSX please read my post here on the Aerosoft preview forum:

    http://forum.aerosof...480#entry390640

Maybe You will better understand why no highend Airbus has been released until now.

Just my humble input to this thread...

    Best regards

    Finn Jacobsen

    (Aerosoft developer)

I just purchased the Airbus X V1 because I don't want to wait for the next (re-scheduled arrival) of V2 and I was very sad to see my FSX crash for the first time, while opening Flight PLanner while in flight - :( - Tested 3 times and yes it crashed everytime. FSX Ran mint before I installed.

Now I paid $45.00 for this item and I SURE HOPE that we get some sort of deal on purchasing V2 - as V1 is obviously BUGGY. -- You can't just sell an item that's half broken and expect customers to purchase an entirely NEW version because V1 was not coded correctly.

I look forward to seeing the pricing menu of the new V2 Extended.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying for the NEW FEATURES, but I've already spent $45.00 + tax on the buggy features of V1.

    Thanks

    Rob

  5. I actually had the same question as "SKEWR".

I have the Nvidia Control Panel and right clicked the tray icon then selected "exit". That seems to help with the problem but I'm still testing.

I also assume this will have no effect on my nvidia Inspector settings but would like confirmation if anyone knows for sure. (Or, perhaps part of my similar problems may have been due to the conflict between Nvidia Control Panel and Inspector?)

great, hows the test going? still good?

I believe there is advanced settings in inspector that do the same for 3rd party Dll compatibility, but I have to install it on machine at home tonight to see. I can't do it here.

I'll check and get back to you guys.

    THanks

    Rob

Would anyone of you great guys! here! - have an A380 that works! lol - in FSX ? - I tried some last night and this thing was crawling into the ground with engines idle LOL - Please send your A380 FSX file donations to the following email address and I will personally find something to give you in return :)

    Thanks guys!

    Rob

I need an A380 - that looks nice and flies well :)

  6. Lol are you going to quote every post and add the same thing after each?

    I don't use Precision X software either.

No, I am not doing that, thanks.

You will know that if you reply to someone, even if they haven't been to the forum lately, will receive an email letting them know they have had a response to their comment. This will then bring them here to read what I wrote them. Yes, I could have posted it and then just let them come around whenever, but I thought they might like to know sooner than that :)

I know what I'm doing thank you.

    Rob

As far as I know ive only installed the nvidia drivers. Inspector is on as well. I've over clocked the CPU but not the gpu.

Ok, so your using inspector. I checked for the option in inspector, but I can't install it at the moment to look for the advanced options. What I would suggest you do is download the newest Precision X software from Nvidia's site and follow the steps I posted to checkmark the "compatibility mode for 3rd party runtime dll's" - this should force the compatibity and work the same.

I can check on the INspector thing tonight for you if you would prefer.

    Thanks

    Rob

  7. I'd be willing to try your suggestion as I do have a EVGA 580GTX card, but no Precision X. What then would you recommend? Install it? Did a quick visual scan and I don't see a process (or program) named Precision X.

    Hey there.

Ok, what program is installed on your machine that is cooling your GTX card? MSI Afterburner? or some other Nvidia sofware? If you can find that out, let me know and I'll research the same fix for you in that software :)

  8. There are so many possibilities for the enb series crash that I recommend you visit Google.com and search for 'enb series fsx crash'. That way you'll find out how others fixed this problem throughout the FS community. This error happens frequently and there is no one thing that will fix it.

    Best regards,

    Jim

Oh there is one thing that will fix it and it has to do with your video card drivers and utils :)

Precision X and MSI afterburner are causing this issue for GTX Vid card people like me :)

  9. a more natural light version of the ENB Mod, included is the d3d9.dll and enbseries.ini, to activate/de-activate, press SHIFT+F12fsx%20enb%20mod.jpg

PLEASE NOTE: EVGA GTX 670 OWNERS USING Win 7 64 bit - w Precision X software installed -

If getting Fatal Crash in Win 7 64 bit and FSX with ENB files inserted, then unload Precision X before running FSX - it's causing my system to crash on command. Took me days to issolate it, but I got it!

Enjoy ! hope it helps others! It was annoying!

    Thanks

    Robdrums

  10. I am trying to improve my night flying environment by using an enb mod ( i have never used one before). I was referred to the REX forum for Tim's natural enb mod. The download contains three files: enbpalette.bmp, d3d9.dll, and enbseries.ini. The forums state to move these three files into the FSX root folder. I did so, mine happens to be c:\FSX. When these files are placed in the root folder FSX will not load. I get the main screen for about 4 seconds with the window that displays the rotating aircraft solid black. FSX then encounters a fatal error and shuts down. When i remove these files FSX runs just fine. My gpu is a gtx 570 and I am running REX essential. Other member on the rex forums have stated that they can run this mod with REX E. Please help =).

UN LOAD = PRECISION X sofware from the bottom right hand corner - tray!

    Now load it :)

    Voila!

Took me days to issolate that! LOL

    Enjoy

    Rob

I'm working on a work around for this.

I can't run the enb on my new machine, cause crashes.

Disappointing but if I want to run my NGX (seems to happen with demanding AC) and open the map, or click on a menu..... then I have fly without it

Running Precision X? Unload it and then try :)

I am running in DX9 =(. Are there any other solutions to make FSX look better at night? I am just looking for a darker sky and decreased visibility.

Yeah! Run ENB in FSX folder and unload Precision X sofware from your computer. Voila! Hopefully works for you too :)

  11. ENB Series in FSX Acceleration-WIN7 64 Bit

    I downloaded and installed the enbseriesfsxfs9.zip program to my FSX Acceleration. I am running WIN7, 64 bit. It installed the following into FSX;

    d3d9.dll

    d3dx9_40.dll

    d3dx9_26.dll

    enbseries.ini

I can open FSX OK full screen and get the blue message about the program being installed in the top left of the aircraft viewing window that first appears. Then it turns to red with some other text and finally disappears.

When I use Shift-F12 FSX crashes. In the Windows Event Viewer it says d3d9.dll failed:

    Exc Code: 0xc0000005

    Offset: 0x00000781c

    Fault id: 0x144c

Before I tried this version program I found another Enb Series program that only added the d3d9.dll and the enbseries.ini. FSX crashed with it too. If I only had d3d9.dll installed FSX did not crash but the Enb Series did not work. If I had both installed FSX would not even open and it crashed right away.

I wrote to Silas, the author, and asked him for help too. I received a message that his e-mail address in the readme was no longer good.

What is my problem and is it fixable? Thanks and best regards, Bob.

    Hey Bob!

I found the fix - try this if you have this software installed.

Unload Precision X sofware for your Video card. Bottom right hand corner of your screen , click the arrow, right click on Precision X and Close/Exit. Then run it with ENB :)

Fixed! Hope it works for you! - Took me days just to issolate this one.

    Rob

  12. Just curious to see if anyone else has problems with Prepar3d crashing while using the additional ENB files in the root folder?

At first I thought ENB wasn't working until I minimized the window and then maximized and then it started up. Looked great and way better than the default lighting. All was fine until I went to look at the map while flying then just got a black screen. Did quite a few tests and the crash starts when ever I choose something from the top left menu bar (change weather, change aircraft etc). If I just fly and don't touch the menu then no crash and beautiful lighting

Taking the two files out the root folder and the crashing was removed.

I know the simple solution would be to 'don't use emb or don't access the menu' but it looks so good and I've noticed a few screen shots on this forum with enb used some it must work correctly

    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks.

    Andrew

    Hey guys.

Try unloading Precision X software for GTX card - if you have it installed. This caused my issues. Works fine. Took me days to issolate the fix. enjoy :)

    Thanks

    Rob (Tech)

Video driver software doesn't like playing along side the d3d9.dll apparently. I can crash it on command.

  13. Hello everyone! I seached forum for similar topics but i didn't find the answer, so maybe somebody could help me.

I bought a new computer this week and everything is running smooth. Today I realised, that I forgot to set up my ENB series so I copied everything to FSX folder as usual, but upon start my FSX just says "Fatal error occured" because of d3d9.dll.

I have nVidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti with 301.42 drivers. W7 64bit. There was no problem with my old 4830 :( Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

Same thing with me, spent days finding out that it's Precision X GTX vid card software causing my issue - - unload it and test. You're see it now works fine. I'm working on a workaround now for this. Email me at robdrums69@gmail.com if you guys need help

    Thanks

    Rob

  14. Ha, thats why I stopped using it....along with the d3d crashes of which I no longer experience!

Well, if you have Precision X GTX Video software running at the same time as your FSX it will. I have isolated an issue with d3d9.dll not playing nicely with EVGA's new Precision X software. Close the Precision X and then run FSX with ENB in the FSX main folder - you'll find it works now ! :)

Obviously, EVGA said they won't be recoding anything to help the Hacked dll file, so ENB developer will need to address this side of things. I found one piece of info I'm going to try tonight, so I can run Precision X with FSX and ENB and that is to change a compatibility mode option within the Precision X to help with this. We shall see if it corrects the entire problem. I hope it does, as Precision x - cools my GTX 670 down :)

Hope this helps some, as it took me literally DAYS to get this isolated to this software with ENB and Fatal Crashes in FSX.

Ha, thats why I stopped using it....along with the d3d crashes of which I no longer experience!

You guys should try my fix and see if it works for you? If so, you are very welcome LOL :)

I started getting the crashes as well and sadly ended up removing it. I really liked the effect, too. My only complaint (besides the crashes) is that the shine can wash out the details on white aircraft, when viewing externally. In the cockpit, everything looks great with perhaps the horizon being too bright . I did love the effect it gave the sun.

Will continue to experiment and hopefully can get a stable setup working.

Check and see if you're using Precision X software for your GTX card - if so, unload it and run ENB with FSX :) Voila :) it's def causing the issue. I can crash it on command by opening Precision X - latest version.

This is one of the effect that is great to me to. One of my favorite but the only things depending on the rexe texture you have sometime to me it gets to bright . But other than that this effect work great an if anyone wants to try it out take a look at this 24 hour setting for ENB http://www.realenvir...nload-included/

Remember everyone! -- when you use these ENB files in FSX - make sure you unload Precision X software for your Video Card - otherwise it will probably give you a fatal crash, like it's been doing to me. If you get rid of that, it will work just fine. I'm working on a workaround for this tonight and will post if anyone else needs it, let me know

    Thanks

    Rob

-- I will stop at nothing to correct these incompatibility issues from coming up that are plaguing me and some of you perhaps ! :)

For those people experiencing crashes when using ENB,there is an alternative that is very good:

    https://www.assembla...nject/documents

Foot note: if you're using GTX vid card with Precision X - unload it from bottom tray - bottom right hand corner of screen, right click - Exit/close. Then run ENB in all it's glory. I'm working on a work around so I can run Precision x as well, as it's cooling my video :)

When I use the Menu, ENB stops working..But when I do Alt-Enter couple of times, It starts working..so not a biggie. But the Black screen...once it goes black screen, it doesn't restore it I think.

I think the benefits outweighs the Black screen problem...so far. Lets see how much I go without leaving the FSX windows to avoid the black screen.

Do you have EVGA software installed? for a GTX video card? Precision x perhaps? If so, unload it and try that. It may just fix this issue as well. I get fatal errors until I unload it.

    Thanks

    Rob

  15. I'm pretty sure CYYZ will be distributed by Aerosoft as per their advert in a German Magazine about the new Mega Airport Toronto Pearson. Maybe D can confirm this on his own.

I emailed Aerosoft a few months ago and asked for CYYZ - they said they would definately keep it in mind for future airports :)

    Rob

  16. I am really hoping that after the final version is released that we can all enjoy HDR like we were supposed to do in this software title. It's kind of pointless having it, if you cannot use it, no matter what VID card you have. They must realize that not everyone can go out and spend $400.00 on an EPIC WIN CARD! :) -- GTX 580's - ATI 7950's Etc ... all expensive cards...

I have this funny feeling that when they release the 64 bit version of XPX - we will all be able to downgrade our PC's LOL

  17. Nice landing. :D

Sadly, both of those videos exemplify why I can't bring myself to get either the Airbus or the 737-800 right now. Jumpseat view. It drives me up the wall. Now, if I had a monitor big enough to display the flight deck to scale, I might be able to get my brain to accept it by sitting on the left side, but...

Thanks for the kind words :) Someone asked me for a tutorial on ILS Cat III - will have to do that sometime soon :)

Yeah, those were great landings! God, landing in those conditions, instruments only, you don't need much more adrenaline! a great weight loss program!

I'm posting a test vid soon of my 10.10 b3 results, weird fps fluctuations but I'm getting up to 25 fps in the 747 HDR ON!! Wish it was consistent, so I'll log a bug report. there's something going on with the pipeline I think.

Appreciate the kind words :) -- Yes, easy to imagine how that would feel seeing nothing and then the runway at 20Ft LOL

  18. You can also get nvidia surround on the gtx 680 which is probably cheaper than the dual gpu 590. The 680 only has 2GB ram and the ATI cards start to pull away from the nvidia card when it comes to triple screens, quite possible because of the 3GB ram they have.

On the other hand it seems that xplane performs better on nvidia at the moment.

If you haven't seen my thread here http://forum.avsim.n...cs-performance/ you can get an indication of what xplane can do on an ati 7970 with 4x 1920x1080 screens.

Hey Jason- thanks for the information. I'm still undecided on the Vid card and I know where you are coming from when you say, X plane 10 seems to work best with GTX cards - I wondered if this was mainly due to the way the GTX performs with OPENGL compared to the ATI cards and how they deal with it. Although, I wonder how the 7900 series would do with it? Comparible? I'll check out that link you sent over. Thanks man.

    Rob

    Warm regards.

670 works great for me...and it can do surround on one card...the new feature of the 6xx series nvidias...and I'm getting 60-80fps in rural and 30-40fps near JFK/LAX/SFO/SEA with the settings I posted on the Holy Clouds thread...

4.8gHz i5 2500k with 8GB DDR 3 2000mHz RAM and the Asus GTX 670 DirectCU II (great cooling and overclockability) are rocking the house with every game I have. I went from 2x 9800GTX to 1 670GTX and am VERY happy at the performance and cost. Oh, and my case runs MUCH better without the bottom card driving it's heat directly into the intake fan of the top card.

Thanks for the info - this will be very helpful in me making a decision LOL -- There are so many options, as we all know in computer land - how do we decide? We see what the other guy is using and he tells us if it's any good or not LOL

I noticed all of the videos I've seen of x plane 10 that are using GTX 580's all look extremely good. I want that look, but I want the THREE SCREENS - so, I wonder if I have no choice but to go GTX 670

How do you hook up three monitors to it though?

    Thanks

    Rob

  19. Ok, I may look into this then. Yeah, I'm looking into the GTX 580 but I want three screens for cockpit view - will it work on one GTX 580? I thought you have to have more than one for Nvidia - Radeon's you can do in 1 card.

Looks like I might need the GTX 590 to do it with one card - the 580 only supports TWO monitors, only.

  20. Glad you can see HDR - I can't even run it on my iMac - I'm building a new PC - i7 2600K OC'd to 4.5Gghz - Asus MOBO - 8 Gig 1600 Ram - HD Radeon 6950 - or 6970 2 GIG. That should do it! LOL -- I can't wait to see what HDR looks like on my PC lol

Get faster rams (2133MHz) and get a Nvidia card (GTX 580 if you can).

Ok, I may look into this then. Yeah, I'm looking into the GTX 580 but I want three screens for cockpit view - will it work on one GTX 580? I thought you have to have more than one for Nvidia - Radeon's you can do in 1 card.

  21. I appreciate your reply and I agree with you. I have so much love for what I want x plane to be and I know we al do. It's just not easy for a person like me that has no patience whatsoever :)

The flight physics alone, astound me on some of the planes and I just hope they get the third party developers together and get more airports, scenery etc.

I also wish they would have included a 64bit version on the main release. I wondered, was x plane 9 64bit? I am not sure, myself, but I know that one runs MINT 60-70 FPS on my iMac 27inch - the new version 20-29 tops right now - then I approach la guardia (pay ware) and I hit 9-12 FPS - just unbearable LOL

I will sit tight and try to remain calm. I'll let them test and get the bugs fixed and I'll come back when I think it's time. Hopefully then, I'll get that feeling I was hoping for when I first installed the sim to begin with.

Have a great night to you all and happy flying !

    Kind Regards

    Rob

You sir, are a smart man. I used Paypal, but I am not sure what their policy is like. I'm just going to sit tight for now and see what happens. Hopefully, sometime I will get what I paid for "wink"

  22. Don't get me wrong. I'm upset about how LR handles XP as well. It pains me to know what things I dislike in XP and may never see them resolved. I bought the sim knowing that it was revolutionary and the history of XP, but I believed that with all the hype leading up to release, it couldn't be as unfinished as it was. I let loose on the videos showing people what I received instead of what I was expecting. Las Vegas wasn't even close to a Las Vegas except in name and the statue of liberty was non-existent as were any other realistic checkpoint items. Now, everything in the sim that isn't there (like landmarks and buildings at airports) may have to be provided via 3rd party (WED users have to add them, upload and the updates provided in the next update release). That means that I could go to airports and never see a building at my favorite places unless I spend some time adding them myself. That is a letdown.

That all being said, the information as to where XP is currently at is out there. You don't have to buy something without knowing what it is. The beta downloads will be buggy until people adequately test them and submit reports to LR, we all know that. If you don't want to have software that will most certainly have issues for a good portion of the user base, wait until the code has been tested by other people first. Once they have assisted LR with the bug-squashing, you will get your bug-free product that is that much closer to what you and all of us will be hoping for.

    Rob

"I thought it was going to run MINT as soon as I installed it. But, as we ALL KNOW, it doesn't and didn't. Now we sit and wait to get it fixed, like the new car we just bought that isn't RUNNING properly LOL"

I buy everything with a credit card, Visa like my business a lot, so if I'm not happy with what I buy I can always return it in the time limit set by the credit card company, if a merchant did not want to refund my purchase I called Visa, every time the problem was solved in no time ......how many company like to have their products returned?

    Again, who's fault?

You sir, are a smart man. I used Paypal, but I am not sure what their policy is like. I'm just going to sit tight for now and see what happens. Hopefully, sometime I will get what I paid for "wink"

Ha, that was coz I was running a few programs at the same time. I can juuuust get 20fps with an average plane, it tanks with the 747, but I'm happy to be patient, since before the beta I was getting 23fps in the 747 with HDR on. They have a huge amount of tweaking yet to do

My Cat III - ILS Landing - A330 - imac 27 running 40FPS right now due to the fact there is no scenery to render ;) AP disengaged about 20FEET
