Gary, I have only taken a brief look, but will go back and investigate more of the web site. GREAT job and glad to see the interest in one of the great vintage aircraft. I am originally from the Akron, Ohio area and know that Ford and Firestone had a LONG business history together. I am not too sure how far it extended into the aircraft area. With Bridgestone purchase of Firestone we are now seeing another twist in history. Thanks for your efforts.

KC-10 refuels another and then an F-16 and A-10 Warthogs; pretty neat Unlike the KC-135 tanker where the boom operator (boomer) lies on his stomach to view out a window to refuel other aircraft, the KC-10 boomer sits in a comfortable chair and looks out a picture window during refueling. Think what it would look like if a large aircraft like the C-5M, C-17, B-52, B1, or B-2 came into view. Adjust your speakers to catch the cockpit conversations. http://www.liveleak.com/ll_embed?f=61e402f990ac

Altimeter/Barometric Pressure question
KSATRoadWarrior replied to KSATRoadWarrior's topic in Hangar Chat
Thank you all for your responses!! I believe what I was seeing was real since it did gradually reduce in the amount of change as I flew away from the mountain ranges. I also believe that my weather data may have been a little scewed as well. I will probably fly the route again in a few days, and control the weather from within FSX to confirm it is not an CS altimete issue. Thanks again, information was very helpful and informative!! -
Is it possible or "normal" for the barometric pressure (thus altimeter) to change (300 to 500 ft) when crossing through a series of mountain ranges? I was flying across some mountains between OPPG and OP12 in the CS C-130 and experienced that today with "real" weather. Or could there be a "bug" in the altimeter? After leaving the series of mountains (which did change in elevation) the problem seemed to go away as I was heading to OABT. Any info appreciated, thanks in advance.

Windows 10 combines elements of Windows 8's forward-thinking design and the familiarity and functionality of Windows 7, still the most popular Microsoft OS. According to Web traffic-tracking firm Net Applications, Windows 7 could be found on 51 percent of desktop PCs in August, compared with just over 13 percent for versions 8 and 8.1 combined. http://www.cnet.com/uk/news/microsoft-jumps-to-windows-10/

Performance Mode looses too many great features. A little surprised that a single product release would cause this kind of performance problems. Hope we can get back to normal soon.

Demographic Early Results Discussion - Feature Closures
KSATRoadWarrior replied to Tom Allensworth's topic in Hangar Chat
In my opinion hearing both sides of a product in a forum (although many times out of control) is more beneficial than a review posting. In my mind I am thinking why is someone posting a review (are they really trying to inform in an unbias manner or are they trying to "sell" the product). In the forums when it gets heated we know some people are very bias and can discount comments accordingly. Just my opinion...... -
Before I retired I flew 2-3 weeks every month on a large variety of airlines, both domestic and international. YEARS ago I was loyal to American and the Continental each of which have become the New American and United Continental.............so now that I am retired I usually try and take Amtrak as much as possible. Maybe it is because I work at an airport? LOL

Has anyone tried this Beta version in either Windows 7 or Windows 8.1? If so what were the results? http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/latest-catalyst-windows-beta.aspx?sp_rid=NzI2NzgwODg0ODIS1&sp_mid=20885338&spMailingID=20885338&spUserID=NzI2NzgwODg0ODIS1&spJobID=321566340&spReportId=MzIxNTY2MzQwS0
