  1. Once again my pleasure, mate! Training, training 🤣- thanks for commenting! Thank you, for watching & commenting.
  2. In my last post we went north from the fjordland of NZ´s south island: Today we continue our trip, passing Haast... ... and the Haast River bridge, which presented 2 surprises for us (not shown here): It is a single lane bridge for about a kilometer. And there were myriads of pesky Sandflies waiting for the crazy guy who took a photo. Following the Haast Pass road we encounter the Blue Pools, ... ... then Lake Hawea... ... and Lake Wanaka. And by plane it is a relatively short hop from there over the Southern Alps... ... to NZMC Mount Cook. Time for another hike...
  3. Thanks for your comment - as said, the posters are real! My pleasure! Thank you, Jan Kees! Yes, this level of detail in the scenery pack is great.
  4. On our final day in Milford we did the obvious cruise - early in the morning to avoid the crowds. The cruise includes a visit in the Underwater Observatory, which is even included in the NZMF scenery pack. Anyway, this sign is a real life shot from inside the building. Deviating from our real trip I took a plane to explore the region. First to Martin´s Bay... ... then "hiking" via Hidden falls Hut... ... to Alabaster Hut... ... and finally with a plane to Gorge River airstrip at the Tasman Sea coast.
  5. Thank you mate. Indeed the comparison gets difficult sometimes. What a pleasure...
  6. Thank you Jan Kees! Thanks WZ! Indeed, in some pictures the sim ones look quite realistic, I had to look twice to distinguish...
  7. Thank you Andy! There is so much freeware - the secret is just to find it...
  8. Thank you both! Quite the work nowadays to compose such a post, but great fun.
  9. Great flight & shots, Bernd. And good to read you got some Rucola, finally. Even with an "m" at the right place.
  10. Greeeeat shots Andy, congrats! BTW: How did you manage to get the coordinates in the top left of your screen? I miss this in MSFS since day one.
  11. It is time to continue my trip report Warning: Not much flight action in this post! After arriving in Milford Sound we took a walk around the village. The first place for a simmer (and probably for many other visitors as well) is the famous airport. Sure we spotted a number of planes going in and out - all within a few minutes. The scenery has lots of details, I can´t show them all here, ... ... because we went along the peninsula a bit further to Roscos Kajaks. And surely we enjoyed the views of Bowen Falls. We took a boat to Sandfly Point, the end of the Milford Track - hard to spot in the RL photo, but there it is! - ... ... and walked until Giant Gates. The last day in Milford we took a ride on this boat... ... getting close to Stirling Falls. Finally we relaxed on THE bench at the mole, ... ... you may spot her in the center of this picture as well. There should be some more flying in the next post, I propose.
  12. What a fantastic flight & mountain views. Quite the adventure. What did Knoll want to sell in Lahore???
  13. What an amazing trip you made! And ... 4 times!
  14. Hi Bernd, re 1.: Didn´t they retire the entire ship? Probably together with Sascha... re 2.: That is good news. Another proof that VFR in MSFS works fantastic.
  15. That may be a short distance, but a great variety of landscape. And these mountains... I noticed I have never looked into an A310 cockpit, it is an interesting mix of the traditional Boeing setup and the more recent Airbus ones.
  16. Thank you very much for watching - and commenting. This is indeed a very beautiful place, and not easy to reach for us from Overseas... Good that we can get a glimpse of that by simming.
  17. Great narration & tour, mate. I have done a similar flight on PC recently, which makes the look of the scenery even better!
  18. Great shots PMP - and I just recognize I have never seen The Jewel from above - neither in real nor in the sim.
  19. Great shots from your experiment, Andy. However, I can not help you a lot since I keep on flying p3d in case of airliners. The tower shot is fantastic!
  20. Great flight & shots in your "backyard", Bernd!
  21. Fantastic flight & screenshots, Ryan.
  22. Fantastic screenshots - and landing, Bernd! Congratulations. Two questions come up for me: Did you spot Captain Sascha Hehn on bord of the MS Deutschland? Is that default St. Barth or some addition (like the FT scenery for P3D)?
  23. As many of you will remember, one catecory of sim flights I do is re-flying trips that I have done in real life. Posting screenshots from these flights, I often added some real life-photos. This has become more challenging in the last years, due to two reasons: 1. With MSFS not many sceneries cover the Orbx forum rule "must contain scenery made or sold by Orbx", so these can´t be posted as I did in the past on the Orbx forum. 2. Over the past two years about half of the guys that used to post and comment moved to the AVSIM forum, and half stayed at Orbx. Now that some more attractive payware sceneries have been established, I will try to take up my documentation practice again - let´s see if I can manage it. Last February we travelled with some long-distance night flights to New Zealand, overcoming our jetlag and starting our tour in Queenstown. We went down to the southernmost point on the planet I have been until now: Mossburn, ... ... had late breakfast in Te Anau, ... ... before driving up the Eglington valley. Via Mirror Lakes ... ... to Lake Gunn (the one left below). Followed the road to Homer tunnel. As some of you may know, this is a single-lane tunnel only, so you have to wait before you may pass. Guides say this can take up to 30 minutes in high season. Even with a car it is quite a steep way down from there to the valley. But with a plane this is even more challenging. The routined pilot can do it, before turning into final over the famous sound. We stayed in Milford Sound Lodge, a place that was finally added to the scenery with the area pack. An area we will explore on the follwoting days in more detail.
  24. ... and now take the challenge and continue to St. Barth!
  25. Now all you need is a proper representation of the fantastic buildings of Tempelhof airport. What a construction (I bet you have seen it, Bernd). Probably. My grandparents did so.
