  1. G'day all, I too have mixed feelings about this aircraft. It looks great, sounds fantastic and from what I can tell so far, flies very nicely. But AS have (AGAIN) made it very difficult to map external hardware to the cockpit. This was the same as in the P3D version but at least then Spad.Next would let you record a macro to get around the problem. It's frustrating not having the LVARs reflect the buttons you are supposed to be pressing. It might be me but I can only get a few of the cockpit switches to respond to hardware inputs. The really important things like Battery, Fuel Selectors (!!), Pitot heat, Fuel Pumps etc just don't move. I suppose its something that the values are changing under the hood but this shouldn't be a surprise requirement from the user base. Sheesh! Warwick
  2. Great advice, I've not got a great deal of extra content yet (still moving over from P3D), but this seems like something I should definately do. Thanks guys
  3. Hey Bernd, I've done that to a degree but found that I keep getting reminders in Content Manager to reinstall.
  4. G'day everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has found an addon or utility to manage our hangered aircraft? It's nice to have so many options to choose from but when you've settled on 4-5 favourites that you fly all the time it gets a little tedious scrolling through all the available planes to get to what you want. It'd be great if there was a way of a saving favourites or most often flown aircraft and I wonder if anybody knows if it's been done? Cheers Warwick
  5. G'day all, I've flown this aircraft a number of times in MSFS and have only one major issue that I wonder if anyone else has encountered. After Startup/Taxi/Takeoff/Climb and Cruise all go ok, disconnecting the Autopilot causes both throttles to be completely unresponsive. I can't move them at all with my hardware external throttles and moving them with the mouse doesn't change anything at all as far as engine performance/RPM/Output is concerned. All the other controls work as normal but landing is more exciting than it should be! Would be grateful for any help as it is a fun aircraft and I'd like to get more use out of it. Cheers Warwick

  7. Just realised that I didn't explain this properly. What I'm hoping to do is have multiple commands execute on a single button press. For example: Yaw Damper 1 On pause Yaw Damper 2 On Is that possible? Many thanks Warwick
  8. Thanks Andrew, I'll give it a go! Cheers Warwick
  9. G'day everyone, I'm relatively new to LINDA and just getting my head around the basic assignment of commands to external hardware. One thing I was wondering was if there is a way of assigning two commands to the same button. For example in the CRJ Professional Series, there are two Yaw Damper switches which need to be pressed and I'd like to assign both to a single button. I've fiddled around with the current user interface as much as I can but can't see any obvious way of doing it. I'd be grateful for your help. Many thanks Warwick
  10. Problem solved Andrew, thanks for the advice. Now I just have to learn LINDA!
  11. Thanks Andrew, will do tomorrow. Cheers
  12. Hi everyone, I'm new to LINDA but have been Flight Simming for a few years now. I'm currently on: P3D 4.5 FSUIPC 5.157 LINDA 3.1.1 I've downloaded the Majestic Dash 8 Q400 addon and can't seem to get it to work. I can see the macro items in FSUIPC but they don't do anything when I assign them to a button. When I start the LINDA interface, there is are entries for Module Functions and User Functions but nothing under those when expanded. As I mentioned, I'm new to this part of the FS experience and would be very grateful if someone could help me map the Dash 8 properly as the native Spad.Next commands don't seem to work for all the cockpit items. Many thanks Warwick
  13. I had similar issues and found that I hadn't advanced the Condition Levers to Max prior to take off. Ooops!
  14. Hi all, I'm new to this aircraft and have to say I'm really enjoying it. I wonder if anyone can help me with two quick questions: 1. On takeoff I'm getting a "Glide Slope" call out for 30 seconds or so. I understand why this is needed on approach but what can I do to make it go away at the start of a flight? 2. I'm using IAS mode and CLIMB functions to ascent to ToC but notice that the aircraft doesn't level out itself when reaching the target altitude entered in the Altitude Alerter on the AP panel. I've got to press ALT manually. Is this normal or have I left something out? Cheers Warwick
  15. Hey fellas, Thanks so much for all that detail, I reckon I'll give Vox a go, especially with the Navigraph integration that Kevin mentioned. I reckon that'll be a job for the weekend! Cheers Warwick
  16. G'day everyone, I was hoping to get some opinions on different 3rd party ATC options that folks prefer to use. I'm currently using Pilot2ATC which has a lot going for it but lacks flexibility in areas such as routing around weather and general VFR choices. I've started to look at VoxATC but havn't got it running properly yet. From the documentation it seems like it's more detailed and thorough than P2ATC but I was wondering what you guys thought. Cheers Warwick
  17. G'day all, I've just got a copy of this hugely fun little aircraft and have a quick question. I've noticed that after start and during the flight there is a red "Starter" indication on the annunciator panel. Normally a red anything isn't ideal in aviation but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Does anybody know if there is something I can be doing to change this, or even if I need to? Thanks heaps Warwick
  18. G'day all, I've been doing a bit of flying in the NGXu these past few weeks and really starting to get the hang of it. There are a couple of niggles that keep popping up though and I wonder if anyone has any insights. I'm on P3D 4.5 1. I use Simbrief and TinyNavMap for planning and they give me similar fuel figures. When I enter the flight data into the FMS though I often get an "Insufficient Fuel" message. For example, today's flight had this problem with these fuel figs: Trip - 3546 kg Block - 9410 Loaded - 10000 Remaining after flight - approx 6000 It's odd that I should be told Insufficient Fuel. 2. I've been trying to get the reversers working with very limited success. I'm using a FlightSimPM 737 throttle quadrant and have been mapping the controls successfully with Spad.Next. Even using the published Event IDs (Evt_Control_Stand_Rev_Thrust1_Lever), I can't even get it to move. Mind you I can't seem to make the reversers move on the console no matter how I click on them directly either. I've been able to work around using the standard "Axis_Throttle_Reverser(xx)_Set" but I don't know how much reverse thrust this is giving on the 600. Anyhow, thanks for your help Cheers Warwick Finch
  19. G'day all, I've been really enjoying flying this aircraft but it seems to have a quirk that I can't figure out and I wonder if anyone else has experienced it. After landing and coming to a halt (or nearly) on the runway, it just sticks there. I have to push the power levers up to a ridiculous amount (much more than normal taxi values) to get it to move. It's as though the brakes are full on. The autobrake is moved to the minimum setting (there doesn't seem to be an "off") and obviously the wheel brakes are off. Much strangeness here. Other than that I'm having no problems at all. Cheers Warwick
  20. Aaaah, never mind - turns out I loaded a bad panel state. Once I restarted P3D and reloaded the aircraft all is well. Blue skies Warwick
  21. Hi all, I've not flown my PMDG 737 NGXu 600 for a while and found today that although the Aviaserver connects I cannot see any information on my tablets. The tablet still controls the aircraft's FMC just fine but both tablet screens only show the FMC instrument with a blank screen. This week I've flown the PMDG 777 and 747 with no problems Avia-wise. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm using version 11.1. Never had a problem with it before. Cheers Warwick
  22. Thanks Lorby, I'll have a play around with it tomorrow. It's a fantastic little utility and I wish I'd picked it up ages ago! Cheers
  23. Hi all, I'm just starting to use Where are My Aircraft and am finding it a very useful utility for my kind of flying. One thing I'd like to find out more about are possible key bindings. I notice that the C2 button on my joystick causes WAMA to take a screenshot which I'd rather it didn't do. I can't find anything in the settings to turn this off or to assign other buttons (say for Saving Current Position). I also can't find a config file either which might have them. Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks Warwick
  24. Solved! I had the install files running in a folder excempt from Avast Antivirus, but it still screwed things up. Once I switched all Avast shields off, I was able to install properly. Cheers Warwick
  25. Thanks Lorby, I'll try that later today. Maybe uninstalling and reinstalling might help too. The fact that this is unusual suggests that there's something going wrong at my end. Will report back. Cheers Warwick
