I only ever use DDU for new driver installs, as I said it will never happen again till I want to refresh my shaders or xhange a shader setting, the whole PC shuts down and a complete reboot is required 🤔. Rod.

I'm gonna post this here as it's not really a CTD, I've posted about this over the last month or so with no real remedy but now it's driving me nuts, this all started at the time of the p3dv4.5 HF2 install and the updating of all addons to be compatible with HF2, updated the client and content, plus I'm sure there was a wins10 update in there as well, now the issue is that everytime there is a shader change with an addon be either envshade, Rex or even if I what to rebuild the shaders folder without any settings change the minute I open p3d it will sit there loading fine and then the P.C will shutdown and turn off, the next restart all will fire up and be fine, I'll repeat, this happens only once when rebuilding the shaders, multiple graphics driver tries, cfg rebuilds, the sim runs fine, as mentioned it started at the time of the p3dv4.5 HF2 install, anyone seen this behavior before? Hi Simbol, yeh did the scan and applied, not at sim at the moment pretty sure it was set but certainly will revisit the preview and have another look, as long as there's a step I didn't overlook, I use to use the freeware version ever since it came out, worked great, is there a certain setting, settings, for great lights? Does it also do addon aircraft lights, eg: PMDG, QW, Fslabs etc? Regards Rod.

I've just purchased and installed the pro version and only lights I see are logo lights, I'm using UTL I may be able to see some nav lights but they so dim they may as well be off, no strobes either, it should be all good with UTL yeah? Regards Rod.

Had the same, similar issue, but it wouldn't make it to the splash screen, same updates performed except for scenery, only client, reinstalled the Fsuipc module and all is well, just a thought. Regards Rod

My bad didn't pick that up, I had a quick look at that and its referring to Fsuipc module, I have an hr ago reinstalled Fsuipc 5.152, had a few changes in some settings and it hasn't shutdown at this point 🤔, can the dll.xml just be renamed, fire up the sim and it will rebuild a new one? I get a bit nervous clicking around in places like that. Regards Rod

Hi Jim, the P3D.cfg has been rebuilt multible times with no change to this issue, I'll try again, the sim runs very well but I just can't put my finger on why it would shut down the whole computer after making a setting change, changing anything in the P3D GUI, REX, ASP4, Envtex, set's off this problem, it's as if P3D now requires a computer reboot everytime, weird. This problem is still occurring, its not a CTD, its a complete computer shutdown, only when restarting p3d when there's been a setting change, HF2 has been installed and everything is up to date, there appears to be a white screen show up on the p3d splash screen saying something for a split second just before the computer shutsdown but its impossible to read anything for that instance, once a restart happens of the computer it won't happen again until a setting is changed within p3d or any other addon, this white dialog screen I remember had showed its face quite a while ago for many in the community, googling isn't coming up with anything, stumped. Hi, I'm not sure but I have updated to H.Fix 2 client only which I asume installs default shaders as per P3DV4.5 H.F. 2, I went ahead and applied my preset that I was using with H.F 1 P.T.A 2.66 and I have no errors at all, all applied with no issues 🤔, is it something system specific, what would the non compatible sections of P.T.A 2.66 with P3DV4.5 H.F 2 be? and thanks for the heads up Matt can't fly without P.T.A. Hi Lorby, I understand, since updating to Orbx Central the layering is different, which is showing up in the addon manager but as long there's no conflict all is well I suppose bit confused as to using Orbx Central to sort it out or use the addon manager to rearrange things as they were, I seem to be unable to restore the scenery cfg from the backup zip file, I get an unhandled exception error when attempting to import it, as things have gone a bit haywire but we'll sort it out. Hi, I've updated to Orbx Central 4, long story, but I read here that its advisable not to use the scenery addon manager when using Orbx Central 4, can I just uninstall it and what precautions should I be taking in doing so. Regards Rod

Well I'm leaning towards Orbx as I'm pretty sure it started just after I updated to the new Orbx Central, I have posted it on the Orbx forum but they keep telling me it can't be Orbx 🤔, at this point I have no idea what to look for. Regards Rod.

Hi Nemo, no overclocking at all don't play with things like that, the only other thing that was updated was to the new Orbx Central, if I don't change any settings p3dv4 runs like a charm but as soon as I change a setting bang CTD from the p3d splash screen, for an instant just before shutdown I do see a large white screen full of writing but its impossible to read it before it shutdown. A long time ago people were reporting this screen but no idea what it was and unable to find it by googling I'm stumped. Rod.

Hi lately I've been plagued with P3dv4.5 HF1, everytime I change a setting either by the P3dv4.5 GUI or by any shader program be it Envtex, REXSF, anything, when I restart p3d the splash screen appears for a bit and then the computer shuts down completely, restarting and all is ok, the updates that were applied recently were Envtex latest update, REXSF update, GSX, that I can think of, event viewer shows nothing, uninstalled graphics driver via DDU, still shuts down, I haven't updated p3d HF2 as yet but all other products have been as I was waiting for P.T.A to be updated and prob will be waiting a while, win10, 32g, am I a lone ranger on this or is anyone else experienced this problem? Or will updating to HF2 help seeing as though everything else has been to be compatible with the HF2. Have no idea what to do next. Regards Rod

All the trouble shooting advise doesn't fix the problem, uninstalled NZWN and the issue is still there at the default NZWN, so it's not a Flightbeam problem, I had WC RJAA installed, uninstalled it and the issue disappeared, reinstalled Flightbeam NZWN and it is now beautiful, so I guess if you have RJAA installed uninstall it and all will be fine. Hi, Does anybody have this same issue with Flightbeam Wellington airport, I've posted over at the Flightbeam forum, other simmers are reporting the same issue without a real remedy, so I was just reaching out to more experienced people than myself.

I'll join this party as well, only noticed it yesterday, selecting the 747 and no Immersion manager working, have to manually restart the immersion manager to get thinks to work, connection seems to be missing for the Immersion manager to recognise the PMDG747😕 Cheers Rod.

Hi, I would like to install my copy of A_A_Sceneries WMKK into P3dv4.4 and would like to hear if anybody is using it? what is the best way to install it? as it certainly doesn't look like it will be updated for V4 or is it worth it at all in V4. Cheers Rod.
