  1. Indeed, you should always check reviews prior to purchasing. Anyway, our product should look exactly as on promo screenshots (depending on sim settings of course - on the screenshots max settings are used).
  2. You actually do not as the full version installs the same files. Hi. Yes, we can do that but that question is - is that what you really want? Winter textures provide more variation to the environment and you can always switch to summer if you wish to. Thanks for the videos!
  3. It is explained directly in the installer: This is simply a texture replacement for the default reflection texture (the one with mountains).
  4. Actually we worked with one ORBX developer on that to ensure this is not required, so some ORBX files are automatically replaced during install by another files provided by ORBX.
  5. The warning is automatic so if you know that the DEMO is removed there is nothing to worry about.
  6. If the DEMO folder is removed then there are no conflicting files. So many products, OMG!
  7. You can simply remove the Seattle X DEMO folder from the Addon Scenery folder, run the sim and allow it to deactivate the scenery library (or Add-ons list) entry automatically. You can also use this time to buy another product of ours, hmm, just in case Seattle doesn't work...
  8. Hi. If the DEMO was correctly installed there is a registry entry with such information in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Drzewiecki Design\SeattleXDemo registry key. In this case the full version installer will prompt you that the DEMO should be uninstalled prior to installing the full product and will point to the exact folder that should be removed. Again - theoretically.
  9. There should be nothing overlapping if our product is above in the scenery library (which should always be the case in P3Dv4 since our product is installed via add-on.xml).
  10. Released! Just as with NY: Airports = airports, City = city, DEMO = textures smaller by 90% and 90% of the content removed (anyway better than default). The performance we and our testers are getting is surprisingly good (no idea why ). Both packages are compatible with all ORBX products (PNW, Vector, Global, LC, anything else) and with T2G's KSEA (T2G's KSEA should be placed below in the Scenery Library as otherwise it excludes half of the downtown). There is no difference which product is installed first - the City or the Airports (at least in theory!!). In the Airports package each airport is optional as well as its features (like static aircraft or airport details). We do not have a config panel per se, but we utilize the installers to do all the job.
  11. We would actually be happy to work with a person who has an extended knowledge and experience in this matter. This is absolutely not something I would be willing to discuss but since non-true comments about our poor customer support can influence some peoples' decision whether to buy our products or not, I wanted to clear that up. But now excuse me, Everett is waiting. :)
  12. Actually your e-mail from July 30th was answered on July 31st and your forum account was manually activated right away http://drzewiecki-design.net/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=3006 but you have never logged-in again. Indeed, this might be related to local meaning of that term but the idea was that while "critisism" can be used to make something better (a product or servise), the hateful speech can not since it only describes a negative emotion/experience without any details or possible solutions. This is not the first time Downscc customer is not happy with us - f/e he has posted some 1* comments at stores (which is always not good for sales) only because some of our products were not compatible with platforms he wanted to use (P3Dv3/v4 in that case) which was at least not fair in my opinion. I have tried to contact him to make his experience with our product better but he never answered to me e-mail. While even harsh critisism is good for the market as it leads directly to better products, hateful speech is never good for anything as it can't be used for anything rather than demotivating everyone reading it. We should start from the fact that FS default ATC and AI is very unrealistic by design, especially outside the US. It is a game-like feature and has nothing to do with the simulation of real operations. There are no realistic transition altitudes/levels, the correspondence is not realistic at all (at least outside the US), aircraft are vectored extremely weird, no real world procedures are used like SID/STARs etc. Please note that this system was developed 10 years ago so there were probably limitations but even now there are 2 alternatives - VATSIM/IVAO flying which is the most realistic experience you can get from an ATC in the sim and some commercial ATC programs, which are not and can not be as good as VATSIM but are better than default ATC.
  13. Hi. Please do not post hate speech about us - we always try to answer each and every customer message and accusing us of poor customer service is very much unfair. Nobody blocked you from our support forum. Sometimes customers' e-mail providers block our e-mails but this is not our fault. You can always contact us directly on e-mail and ask to manually activate your forum account. There is really no problem with that. Please provide us some screenshots of how that "forced fake light glows" look in your sim. The lighting should look exactly as on our promotional screenshots, unless something is wrong with the mip-maps settings of your graphic processor. I do not have many night VFR hours as a pilot but judging from I've see myself and from many video sources we have studied, our lighting looks realistic (as far as graphic display settings are set correctly). Additionally, did you try the dimmed light texture? Calling a License Agreement - "audacity" - is never a good way of solving issues. I am sure more authors would agree that editing any files, including AFD files, without a written permission from an author, is indeed a reverse engineering and often a violation of author's rights. You are very wrong. AFD files contain much more information than how AI should behave (f/e ATC approaches, excludes, flattens, navaids, placed objects) and often customers editing AFD files result in some of that content being removed, producing sufficient bugs in a product. I am not sure how you came to that conclusion (and I am sorry you did) but please note that the alternative commercial products for NY airports available at the market are much heavier in terms of FPS and VAS usage. Our set of 6 (!) airports can easily be used with our NY City X products and very complex aircraft like PMDG. The point was to provide our customers 6 good, up-to-date and flyable airports rather than modeling scratches on terminal buildings (which we can technically do indeed) but making a product unflyable even with one airport activated. This might mean that your e-mail provider blocks a lot of e-mail content, including our e-mails. Can you try registering on our forum with f/e free Gmail account?
  14. Unfortunately this must be an issue with UT Traffic as I did extensive testing with default AI regarding taxiway bridges at KJFK so that AI would use them to taxi to runways. The only option I see is that some AI models are not in native FSX format which has been an issue for years with some AI programs. Anyway we will investigate this further to ensure this is the case. The 29rwy issue at KEWR would probably be fixable only by closing that runway for AI traffic at all as we can't program AI-preferred runways. SODE is designed to work with GSX correctly. In case of SODE-related issues the most efficient way to solve them would be to contact SODE support. Jeffrey knows any part of the code and he can instantly figure out whats wrong. Additionally using those reports he may make some changes to the script so in the future there are less compatibility issues with the software.
  15. Much more than that - the autogen textures are from ORBX Global, sky colors, water colors and effects and clouds are from REX 4 - Texture Direct with Soft Clouds, the grass is our Drzewiecki Design Grass addon. The nice haze is created by various configurations of clouds and visibility layers in P3Dv4. Of course the shots were taken with NYC installed as this is how these products should be used together (but can also be used individually). In the end everything went thru Corel Photo Paint for resizing and sharpening. However the "product's features" section provides you exactly the information you need about what is actually located in the package: The most complete, affordable and performance-friendly package ever created for New York metropolitan area and the largest airport system in the world High quality, performance-wise optimized airports with the most up-to-date layouts Advanced lighting (user controlled at wish) including Canarsie visual approach SODE jetways and automatic seasonal switching HQ static aircraft, custom reflections, animated vehicles, 3D people, custom mesh Futuristic version of KLGA LaGuardia BUT - you can download a NYC demo for free and having the freedom tower in the sim without paying anything else, if you wish. And BTW our New York City X package contains much more than the Freedom Tower - about 6500 buildings in total.
  16. Hi. Yes, this is exactly how the installers are designed - you simply run them again and select different options each time if you wish. We have 3 products related to New York: http://www.drzewiecki-design.net/products.htm . Airport packages include only the airports while the city package does include only heliports and no airports.
  17. Just as with any other addon (in P3Dv4): P3Dv4 upper menu → Options → Add-ons. Or simply remove the product's folder from the Addon Scenery folder. Negative, after pressing "1" it should proceed to the terminal selection. May I assume that you use the latest version of SODE which is 1.5.3?
  18. I am not sure I am getting the idea but this how it should look like: Triggerable objects are f/e animated hangar doors but no such objects are placed here. To move a jetway you need to select a stand.
  19. Tech info: Manhattan Area buildings use a set of low resolution textures (512x512) which are displayed while viewing the city from a larger distance. This is used during approaches to airports like KEWR, KLGA or KJFK and helps to maintain proper VAS. When you get closer to the city (to specific groups of buildings) a second, high resolution set of textures (4096x4096) is being loaded and this is the moment you are describing as "black textures". The loading time directly depends on how system resources are being handled as well as how much of other stuff your system needs to load (autogen, water reflections, clouds etc). Additionally P3D uses higher LOD settings than they were in FSX so limiting the Level of Details radius just a bit might also work very well.
  20. That is the second line. And the first line is stand selection. :-) Why don't you write me @ http://www.drzewiecki-design.net/c.htm - I would be very interested to see myself where the problem lies in.
  21. The idea is that you should get -25% for both parts in such case but lets wait how PCAviator handles it.
  22. NYAv2 X has just one DEMO which includes all 6 airports. NYCv2 X demo is not compatible with P3Dv4 yet afair.
